So about that whole seven day schedule thing, yeah, it's been pretty tough trying to adapt to it. Working on it though, hopefully will get better at actually achieving that time frame. We'll see moving forward. That will be the goal, but at the very least the 10 day schedule will be maintained, that's for sure. Aside from that, enjoy evergreen, old ass, non copyright troubled content.

Glad you are okay, started to get worried about you. And what a nice surprise, I was wondering if you'd see the first anime, compared to brotherhood, the beginning is much stronger here in my opinion. I'll watch right away, to see if you agree! Glad to have you back man!

Yeah, this version does kinda veer WILDLY into different territory and brings up some....let's just say "interesting" implications that unfortunately aren't really followed-up on unless you watch the movie that "properly" ended this series, Conquerer of Shambala

i went into 2003 thinking brotherhood was a sequel. really liked it. beginning of brotherhood seemed to have been made with the thought that people had already seen 2003 so they brushed past alot of the beginning stuff. id recommend watching 2003 before brotherhood for that reason. also 2003 has the movie

This should be an interesting comparison series. I've never actually seen the 03 version (people usually call it FMA 03 so I suppose you could just call them 03 and Brotherhood when you need to compare them) but I've seen some bits here and there and it definitely goes to some very different places than Brotherhood. I'm a bit surprised the show is so much slower than Brotherhood at this point, especially with it having fewer episodes. It's not uncommon for anime adaptations of manga to add some "filler" episodes to give them time to let the manga get ahead, not that it made a difference in the this case since they caught up anyway, but after the first batch of episodes you'd expect things to be a bit more concrete by this point. Maybe they thought FMA was just going to be a very episodic story than it ended up being, I don't know how many of the on-off stories were created for the anime and how many were actually from the manga, so maybe it really just started that way and developed its main story later. Apparently the manga starts with Liore too, the first episode of Brotherhood is actually entirely made up for the anime. Once I found this out I understood why episode 3 of Brotherhood goes to such lengths to explain things we already learned about, because it was adapted from the first issue where everything needed explaining to a new audience. I get the change, I think the actual first episode of Brotherhood is better for drawing you in than the Liore episode, but it's weird that they sort of treated them both as if they were episode one. With the voice actors, at least for the dub, I know that Maxey Whitehead took over as Alphonse in Brotherhood. I think the 03 VA was a young boy but then puberty happened and he couldn't sound convincingly like a child by the time of Brotherhood. I don't have IMDB up or anything, but I'm pretty sure the other actors all reprised their roles in Brotherhood. You might also want to know that 03 and Brotherhood both have films, Brotherhood's is a spin off and I think 03 might have more than one but at least one of them is a sequel, so bear that in mind if you end up finishing the show and want some more FMA in your life. Actually, there's a Cowboy Bebop spin off film too, and the netflix live action series if you want to give it the full Avatar treatment.
