It's Called WARcraft!!! (Patreon)

The "War" In World of Warcraft (And Why People Hate Talking About It)

So people are super not okay with it when you try to talk about the darker aspects of WoW, and every time they show up to scream "It's called WARcraft!" I feel myself age on the spot. Yes, World of Warcraft has "war" in its name, but that doesn't mean we just turn our brains off, throw media literacy out the window, and refuse to engage a single thought. That is, if the people who hate this kind of discussion had media literacy to begin with, and all evidence thus far points to "no." Blizzard can and should do better because there is too much potential left in World of Warcraft's setting to just let it go to waste, and even if you don't appreciate it, you deserve better as well.
