Chapter #20: A new destiny.

Harry and Tonks, while they were still under the effects of the Polyjuice potion, went to the other door, the one on the opposite side from where all Yaxley’s treasures were hidden before Harry stole them, when they opened the door, they were shocked to see many people completely chained.

“Hey, everyone, don’t worry, I didn’t come here to harm you, the one who had you locked is gone, he’s dead,” Harry said with a serious tone.

“Is he really?” Asked a random witch, and Tonks nodded.

“Who are you, anyway, guys? Why are you here?” Asked the emerald-eyed wizard with a concerned expression.

“Most of us are magical inventors, but there are also muggleborns and purebloods and half-bloods they consider traitors,” a random wizard answered in a weak tone.

Harry didn’t know how to feel, in one hand these people could be useful for his plans but it was going to be hard to convince them after all they've went through, still, he decided to free them with one flick of his wand, he also summoned their wands, turns out that they were all locked in Yaxley’s room, there was a chest filled with wands.

“I want you guys to know that I’m like you, I’m an inventor too, and I’m working to bring down this government,” those words earned him their complete attention.

“Please, I want to work with you!” A wizard said on the verge of tears.

Soon, more joined him, and Harry couldn’t help but smirk, he wasn't expecting to be this easy to convince them.

“I’m not a genius and I don’t know how to invent things, but I can be useful when it comes to fighting, you’re going to need soldiers, right?” Asked one of the youngest prisoners.

“Yes, anyone who knows how to fight and wants to help is welcome, however, all of you need to make an unbreakable vow to swear to never betray me,” Harry’s words were calm, but some of them were eager, while others were hesitant to do it.

In the end, most of them decided that it was the best course of action to take, some of them didn’t want to, so, in the end, Harry decided to approach those who didn’t make the vow.

“Don’t worry, all of you are going to forget us, it’s dangerous for you guys to know about what we're planning to do, escaping should be your top priority,” Harry decided to take out his pouch.

Soon, he was giving them money so they could start new lives.

“I’m going to take all of you guys to the Muggle world so you can hide,” Harry said to those who didn’t want to join him in the fight.

Luckily, he was protected by Draco’s immunity to roam in the muggle world without being detected or bothered, once they arrived at the muggle world, he erased their memories about him and the other inventors and the people who wanted to fight against Voldemort, he also gave them a purpose, to have better lives in the muggle world.

After that, Harry was back, and now he was ready for the next step of their plan, before arriving at this place, he was worried they could probably find themselves in this situation, luckily, he was prepared.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please, listen to me, now, all of you are going to be moved to a safe house hidden under the fidelius charm and I know all of you must be worried that it won’t be enough security, however, the house has been hidden by one of the dark lord’s followersm, but don't worry I have that person working for me and just like you guys did, he also made an unbreakable vow,” the emerald eyed wizard said with a smirk.

Soon, there were whispers, and many were a bit skeptical that this could work for them. Harry also tried his hardest not to laugh, it was actually Draco who helped him with that, but that’s something these people didn’t need to know.

“Relax, his followers are the only ones who can avoid being seen by the fidelius charm, the dark lord knows and encourages them to hide things they don’t want the world to see, things that could make this government look bad,” Tonks explained, and many nodded.

It made sense why they would go that far to hide their crimes, their image was the most important thing, no matter how strong you think you are, if enough weak people joined forces they could become a problem, and even if you can wipe them out, it makes you wonder why would you do such thing as without citizens there’s no such thing as government or power.

The former prisoners continued to chat, but in the end, they nodded and were satisfied with the answers provided, now that everyone said their vows, it was time to move them.

Harry and Tonks apparated them and soon, they landed outside a big mansion in the middle of nowhere, there were countless crops, and a lot of the newcomers were very impressed with the house.

“Nice, isn’t it? This place was built with transfiguration, but don’t worry, this house is more than enough to live on,” Harry told them with a calm expression.

“This place could last at least a year before problems start to show, I think that’s enough time to bring a government down, don’t you think?” Asked the metamorph.

“Well, I’m sure all of you are hungry, you also need time to rest and clean yourselves, but before you do that, let me give you guys a tour of the house,” Harry said with a calm expression, and they nodded.

There were countless rooms, a dining hall that worked thanks to Malfoy, who managed to get some elves who had needed work, but the place they most liked was the big lab underground, to say they were amazed would be an understatement.

“Now, I know it’s too soon to work, but—“ Harry tried to introduce the topic as subtly as possible, but he was quickly interrupted.

“Fuck waiting, we can get our hands on this amazing equipment?!” One of them questioned with a big grin.

Many others agreed with him, soon, all the doubts Harry had were cleared, this was going better than he expected, he needed people to keep fighting in case something happened to him.

“Very well, like I said you guys need to rest, why do you say about a week of resting and then we’re going to work all week twelve hours per day, that’s my usuall schedule, though if some of you feel like you can’t work for too long you can choose your own time,” Harry told them.

Not many were happy, but it wasn’t because of the time they needed to work, but because they had to wait a week until then.

“Okay, I see that all of you are excited and eager to work, so, I propose something, while you guys are recovering, I’m challenging you to design a protection device, something to wear on your shirt that can absorb attacks,” Harry proposed.

But before he could say something else, the effects of the Polyjuice potion started to fade, everyone gasped to see that their leader was a young man and a woman younger than them.

“Oh, right, this is how we truly look, so, what do you guys think of my proposal?” Harry asked with a calm expression.

To say they agreed would be a complete understatement.
