Chapter #39: Deal with the devil.

“Get the fuck out of here, you suck at this and not in a good way!” A curly-haired woman said while she was only wearing her underwear.

She looked to be in her forties, and the young muggle man she was trying to use to ease her urges ran away completely scared. He regretted following her to her place; he was so lucky because she was too frustrated to even kill him.

“It doesn't matter if they're wizards or muggles...None of them can truly satisfy me, only the dark lord can, but he doesn’t want to!” The woman gritted her teeth angrily.

She looked at the time on her watch and sighed. She got dressed quickly, and now she was wearing a dark dress and high heels that would put any stripper to shame; she was as beautiful as she was dangerous; she was like a carnivorous plant.

“I'd better get going, Cissa and Draco wanted us to meet for lunch,” the dark-haired witch said with a calm tone.

Those were the only people besides the dark lord she truly appreciated, although she wished they were more devoted to the cause; on the other hand, the less competition she had to gain the dark lord’s love was welcomed. Soon, she apparated from her place and landed in one of the most exclusive cafes in Diagon Alley.

“Sorry, we’re full, don't—Oh, Mistress Bellatrix, please come in, Mistress Narcissa and her son are already waiting for you,” the short man was about to kick her out until he realized who she was.

Bellatrix just nodded; she would’ve torn apart that man in different circumstances, but she didn’t want to be late. It’s been a long time since she has seen her favorite relatives. Once she arrived, she was greeted by the beautiful sight of her younger sister and her favorite nephew.

“Cissa, Draco, my eyes are blessed to see you two...You two are looking great!” Bellatrix couldn’t contain herself, and soon, she was hugging them.

“It’s good to see you, Bella, but…Ah...Well, first I’d like to say that I'm sorry for your loss,” Narcissa told her with a sad tone.

Bellatrix looked at her with a confused expression, like a lost puppy; she had no idea what her sister was talking about.

“Why?” Bellatrix couldn’t help but wonder.

“Uh…Your husband, aunty…Didn’t you lose your husband in the recent incident with Potter?” Draco couldn’t help but ask with a surprised tone.

He knew his aunt was a cold person, but for her not to even caring about her husband was something that even he was surprised to see. Then she started to laugh.

“Oh, right, right…I forgot about him…Don’t worry about it; he was trash. If a mere recently graduated Hogwarts student managed to destroy him, then he was not worthy of being with me,” Bellatrix told them with a happy smile. “Please, don’t waste your time mourning him,” Bellatrix assured them.

“Thank Merlin,” Draco sighed, relieved.

“Draco?” Narcissa was scandalized.

“What? Rudolphus always treated me like shit; he was not a good uncle,” Draco defended himself.

“And neither a good dark lord supporter, Draco, you need to learn from his mistakes, don’t let yourself be fooled like that scum, I seriously regret the day my parents arranged our marriage,” Bellatrix said as she took a seat.

They shared a nice meal and told each other about how their lives had been, but then, it was time to speak about the real reason why they wanted to see her.

“Bella, I must admit that even if your presence is delightful, I have some personal reasons for why I arranged this meeting,” Narcissa admitted, and her older sister looked at her with a curious expression.

“Is that so? What can I do for you both? You know you can ask me for anything, right?” Asked the dark-haired witch with a curious expression.

“Yes, we were wondering if you’ve seen this object. It’s Helga Hufflepuff’s cup,” Draco suddenly took a picture he had taken from one of the books the Potters had handled for him.

Bellatrix looked at the picture and caressed her chin with a serious expression.

“What makes you think I’ve seen this object?” She asked with a serious and dangerous tone.

Draco couldn’t help but gulp.

“Well…Mother told me you love collecting treasures from your enemies and also dark objects. I just thought that you might’ve seen this, but if you hadn't...I'm sorry for assuming wrong,” Draco couldn’t help but say in the fakest happy tone he could get.

Bellatrix looked at the picture, and then she looked at her family members. She was trying to find out if they were truly being honest, and then she just sighed.

“I don’t like people who assume things about me, but…You’re right, I’ve seen this object; in fact, it was given by someone very special,” she couldn’t help but blush.

Both Draco and Narcissa felt a bit uneasy about her reaction, but the two of them remained in silence; they’ll have time to discuss this later.

“That's great news, so…I was wondering if I could see it?” Draco asked in the most innocent tone ever.

This caused the older witch to look at him with a raised brow; they needed to tread lightly or else they would get in trouble with the dark lord if he got to know about this conversation.

“Why do you want to see it?” Asked Bellatrix now with a clear interest.

It was now or never; the next words Draco was going to say were going to decide the fate of this mission Harry had asked him to do.

“Well, I was studying the objects of the founders, I’m writing a paper, you see, I have the belief that they’re enchanted, but I have never seen one, I’d like to see it and prove if I’m either right or wrong,” Draco lied in the spot.

Even Narcissa was surprised by how fast he came up with a lie. They didn't expect things to turn this way, but they had no choice but to keep pushing. Bellatrix, meanwhile, caressed her chin as she thought about what she heard, and then she got on her feet.

“Okay,” she told them with a calm tone.

Both Draco and Narcissa looked at each other with confused expressions.

“Is it really okay?” Narcissa was having a hard time believing they could get what they wanted so easily.

“Yeah, let’s go, it’s in my vault at Gringotts, let’s go see it,” Bellatrix encouraged them.

Neither Narcissa nor Draco could believe what they heard, this has been less complicated than they thought it would be, it took them a few minutes to arrive to Gringotts and then, they were taken to her personal Lestrange vaults, and that’s when she got the item, she took the thing and hide it on a dragon skin pouch, once they were outside the bank, Draco felt at ease.

“Don’t tell anyone I let you borrow this. Also, give it back as soon as you can, please,” Bellatrix warned them.

However, before they could do or say something else, the three of them were knocked out as Harry Potter appeared out of thin air with a smirk on his face.

“Well, well, look at what we have here…Death eater scum, you have something that we want,” Harry said with a smirk.

Sirius and James appeared behind him, Narcissa and Bellatrix were looking at them with hatred, while Draco just rolled his eyes. This was just for show, but still, it was something they needed to do; it was essential to make Draco and Narcissa look like victims, too.
