Chapter #61: The real me, part II.

Everyone was shocked. Harry Dursley, the person no one thought could do anything, was now showing a side he had been hiding for a long time. The Death Eaters were shocked, but also, it seemed like this had proved their worries: Harry was the real enemy of the dark lord, not Henry.

Everyone was staring at Harry with shock written all over their faces and it made sense, after all, what he did was impressive, however, the emerald-eyed wizard was focused on other things, he had been planning on his mind since the moment he arrived after killing Peter, he needed to think of a way to take advantage of the situation for his own benefit but things were starting to look more and more difficult.

He cannot obliviate anyone anymore; after all, he knows Voldemort already knows about this situation, and he’s probably telling that information to the rest of his followers in the world, so the thought of keeping his true self as a secret doesn’t make any sense now; it seems like he’s going to give up on his peace plans.

He didn’t want to get involved in this war; however, it seems like he has no choice. There’s nothing else he can do but finish this once and for all; now he knows why he’s in this universe: it wasn’t a casualty that his version of this universe was replaced with his true self.

It was part of something greater; even if it didn’t look like it, it seems like he was the one destined to kill Voldemort in this universe too, something that didn’t amuse him, he didn’t want to fight, but life rarely gives you what you want, it's just like some people say, if something awful is going to happen, it better happen quick.

Harry then did something no one expected, he sent a patronus with a message to someone, to everyone’s surprise on the order side, his patronus was a stag, clearly symbolizing that he was in fact, Lily and James’ son, and the order didn’t know if they should take this as a good sign as apparently, the people that had sold their souls to the darkness cannot cast a patronus.

“Very well, who else wants to become a corpse?” Asked Harry with a smirk as he looked at the Death Eaters as if he were looking at toys.

One of them decided to test his luck and raised his wand; however, his head was gone before he thought of a spell. Harry is an efficient killer; that’s something he has been known for since he joined the Auror forces. He doesn’t think too much; he just focuses on eliminating threats as soon as possible.

“That’s not even going to tickle me,” Harry sighed, annoyed.

“You… You think you’re better than us; well, it doesn’t matter what you think,” one of the Death Eaters snapped his fingers, and then a hundred more Death Eaters appeared. “Are you scared now?” asked the same Death Eater.

But no side had the chance to reply or say anything as the attacks suddenly started. Harry didn’t waste time and cast a powerful shield spell to protect the Order. No matter how he felt, he wasn’t going to let people die on his watch; that’s the vow he made when he became an Auror, and that’s something that hasn’t changed.

“It doesn’t matter the quantity; if that were the case, an ant colony would be enough to destroy a human… It’s not about numbers, it’s about being smart on how to use your limited resources!” Harry declared, and soon, he cast a thunder attack that killed a third portion of the attackers.

The Death Eaters were in shock; only the dark lord was capable of such attacks, or so they thought. However, even if they were worried, they didn’t hesitate and soon started to attack Harry back; killing curses were sent, but Harry was able to create natural barriers with concrete and the stuff rockets are made of.

He was dodging and attacking without hesitation, and the Death Eaters quickly realized something: as their numbers decreased at an incredible pace, using their usual methods for killing wasn’t going to serve them; they needed to kill him slowly.

“Let’s see if you can deal with this!” One of them said as he launched a wind attack.

Harry was ready to receive the attack and dodge it; however, the attack was aimed at the ground, causing dust to cover everything, and now everything was surrounded with that material, so it was impossible to see a thing. Harry didn’t want to deal with that thing, so he tried to get rid of it as soon as possible.

However, they took advantage of his distraction to attack him from the back while he was focused on trying to get rid of the gust. The Death Eaters were celebrating that they had him where they wanted; however, Harry decided to use this to his advantage and then cast a fire charm, powerful enough to be transported by the gust.

That’s why he managed to kill a lot of them with that fire attack. The battle continued, and neither side wanted to give up. James and the rest decided to get on to help and try to do something; even if they felt that Harry was powerful enough to finish this, they couldn’t stop themselves from helping.

They kept going like that for a while, and there was an eerie sensation as Harry continued to be covered with the dirt as the screams faded. The dust had settled, and to everyone’s shock, Harry was standing tall and proud; his clothes from the waist above were gone, his muscular chest was out in the open, and he had a few bruises and blood on his face, but the most important thing was the fact that he was still alive.

He managed to survive the swarm of Death Eaters; to say the Order and Harry’s lovers were impressed would be a complete understatement. After quickly scanning the area, Harry noted that the place seemed safe and there was nothing to worry about.

“Harry!” Hermione said loudly as she ran towards him.

Harry smiled after hearing her; however, his expression suddenly changed when he felt a movement in the air. He started to panic, and he didn’t have enough time to tell Hermione to get away, so he ran as fast as he could and put himself in front of Hermione.

“Harry—What?” Hermione was about to ask.

However, Harry was more focused on the surprise attack; he knew it was coming, and he was ready to receive it to save Hermione. Still, that didn’t stop him from getting his wand ready to cast a shield; even if it was too late, as he could already sense the attack on its way, everything was happening in slow motion.

However, something more surprising happened: the moment the spell was about to hit him, someone else decided to put themselves between the attack and him; it was a redhead female, it was his mother, and she was looking as protective as ever.

“No… Lily, get away… That’s the killing curse!” Harry tried to push her away.

However, it was too late, and Lily didn’t want to move anyway, so the attack eventually landed on her neck, destroying the collar Harry loved so much when he was a baby.
