Chapter #1: Hell's Paradise.

“I can’t believe this is going to be the one who’ll protect me… What a terrible sense of fashion!” A blonde woman said with an irritated tone.

Harry couldn’t believe it; out of all the jobs he could do, protecting a pureblood princess was the worst, and to make things even more terrible, the said pureblood princess was Daphne Greengrass, the person who was one of the most insufferable persons in his year which says a lot considering Malfoy was there too, and to think that he was doing this just because he owed a couple of favors to the minister.

The minister said that it wasn’t a job as a bodyguard; however, it was clear as a day that’s what it was. Harry still remembers the moment he was asked by Kingsley to do this job; he was writing a report, and he hated doing that. Suddenly, while he was writing, there was a knock on the door.

“Well, well, it seems like the hero of the world is having trouble with an... Evil report?” Asked the minister with an amused tone.

“Shut up, Kingsley… You know how much I hate writing; why am I doing this? This is why I didn’t go back to Hogwarts!” The twenty-one-year-old Auror asked with an annoyed tone.

“Well, that’s something all of us do when we work here… Don’t forget to put all the details, even the minuscule ones,” the minister continued, mocking him.

“Is there something I can do for you… Minister?” Harry asked, a bit irritated.

“Actually, yes… There’s a favor I need you to do for me…” He started.

Harry chuckled.

“I’m sorry, Kingsley… I know I’m handsome but… I’m not into guys,” Harry winked at him.

The older wizard rolled his eyes.

“You break my heart,” the older wizard said sarcastically. “However, I’m glad to hear that. You don’t have a girlfriend, right?” Asked the older wizard with a calm tone.

Harry shook his head. It’s been more than a year since Ginny broke up with him; it was a terrible breakup, and Harry didn’t want to remember.

“No… Why do you ask?” Harry didn’t like where this was going.

“Because there’s a beautiful woman I want you to meet…” Kingsley started. “It would be cool if you dated her and pretended to be her boyfriend,” Harry couldn’t believe it.

He groaned; if there was one thing that he hated, it was lying, and especially lying about relationships.

“Why does it have to be me?” He asked with a bored tone. “If she's that beautiful, why can’t any of the other guys do it?” Harry asked, not feeling too motivated to keep on writing that report.

There was a silence as Kingsley sat beside him.

“Because none of them owe me favors as you do, Harry,” Kingsley told him with a calm tone.

“Favors? I don’t recall owing you any favors,” Harry tried to pretend everything was fine.

“Oh really? Let’s remember, just last week I had to make some calls to avoid you getting suspended for killing those guys who liked to shoot killing curses at random muggles while flying their brooms,” Kingsley told him with a serious tone.

“They deserved that; life is not something you should play with. They were going to kill each other eventually; I just accelerated things to avoid more innocents getting harmed,” Harry told him with the calmest tone in the world.

“Oh really? Then how about the time I avoided a diplomatic crisis after you called the muggle president of the United States a pig?” Kingsley said with a not-so-happy tone.

“Oh, trust me, calling him a pig was a very small gesture; if I told you what I wanted to tell him, you would kill me!” Harry shook his head, trying not to remember that meeting.

As magical people, they have to regularly meet with Muggle politicians; well, just the important figures of their world have to do it, and Harry has become quite an important person these past few years. He hated it, but that’s the way it is if he wants to keep the peace that they worked so much for to achieve when they defeated Voldemort.

“How about that time you slept the British minister’s daughter? It was quite the scandal, you know? He wanted to banish you from the country!” The minister said exasperatedly, and Harry just sighed.

“Just a few rare incidents,” Harry tried to ignore the gravity of his actions.

“Harry… That’s just what you did last month,” Kingsley’s words made Harry realize that maybe he had a point.

“Well, yeah, I’m human; I commit mistakes from time to time; that’s not a crime, right?” Harry questioned him nervously.

“No, Harry, those things aren’t crimes; however, when someone usually does something like that, they end up facing the consequences of their actions, and you, my friend, haven’t gone through that,” the minister said, not so amused.

Harry remained silent for a few moments; he hated owing people favors, so he already hated himself before saying what he was about to say.

“Tell me more about the woman you’re talking about, first of all tell me her name…” Harry said, a bit wary of this whole situation.

He felt like the fact that he hadn’t told him the name of the woman was suspicious; however, he decided to let him speak. Maybe he had good reasons to hide the identity of the lady.

“That’s not important, trust me, she’s a good lass, and you two are going to be the happiest fake couple—” Kingsley was stopped.

“Kingsley, please stop with that… Just be honest, man; I promise I’m not going to get angry. Am I going to do it, okay? It’s not like we’re talking about Pansy Parkinson who wanted to turn me in to the dark lord or Millicent Bulstrode who’s very unpleasant to be with… Right?” Harry asked, worried about the last part being true.

Kingsley remained silent, but in the end, he sighed.

“Greengrass… The woman you need to date is Daphne Greengrass,” the older wizard told him.

Harry suddenly felt like he was shot with a bullet in the stomach. The older Greengrass sister was a beauty; that’s something undeniable. However, she was very hard to deal with; she’s a perfectionist, and she’s shown to be like that in her columns of the Daily Prophet and most recently in her magazine.

Surprisingly, even though she’s the heir of the Greengrass conglomerate, a company that sells the finest and rarest potion ingredients in the world, she still got a job in the publication world, first at the Daily Prophet and then she got her own magazine; what does she write about, you must be asking yourself? She's a critic of everything.

Her rants and harsh critics against the many things that happen in her life are famously known in the country, all of her ex boyfriends have been destroyed in her columns,  and she has even destroyed people like Malfoy, something he finds funny, however, that also meant that even though they’re going to have a fake relationship, she’s probably going to end up destroying him too.

Her ruthless reputation might sound intimidating, but sadly, it seems like something like that sells because she has been given her own publication where she writes about many things, and she’s ruthless about everything she writes about, like music, fashion, and sporting events, so now there’s a question for Harry.

“Why does the mean princess need me?” Asked Harry, a bit surprised to hear that she needs his protection.

“Well… As you can guess, her ruthless attitude has caused her to get a right amount of enemies; many try to confront her, others try to sue her. However, until then, threats hadn’t happened until a few days ago, when she received death threats on a paper that appeared in her room without anyone in the family noticing,” the minister told him with a serious tone.

Harry was surprised to hear it took that long for someone to target her; honestly, however, that’s something he didn’t wish on anyone. He wished she could change her attitude; someone as insufferable as that shouldn’t exist; however, that doesn’t mean he wanted to see her dead.

“Well, that doesn’t sound surprising. I’m actually surprised it took so long for that to happen, and yes, I’m still mad that it’s because of her that my favorite ice cream parlor removed the chocolate chip cookies ice cream because she called it “basic”,” Harry sighed.

The minister just chuckled.

“Anyway, I want you to have a fake relationship with her. Once the world knows she’s dating you, they’re not going to dare to do anything to her, easy, right?” Kingsley got on his feet.

“Wait a minute, Kingsley, what are you getting from this?” Asked Harry with a serious tone.

The minister remained silent for a moment but then sighed.

“Her father promised to side with us on the Wizengamot sessions.” Harry was surprised to hear that.

Every time they propose new things, there’s always a missing vote to make that happen, with that vote they’ll secure a better future, in Harry’s mind that was worth it, so, he nodded at the minister and that’s how he found himself in this situation with a woman that he was sure didn’t want to date him and the feeling was mutual, no matter how beautiful she was, her attitude made her lose points.
