Chapter #2: Let's make things clear.
The most beautiful woman Harry has ever seen had just landed on his home. Daenerys Targaryen, that’s her name. If Harry could describe her more accurately, she would be considered a descendant of those elves from fiction; she looked like something that could only exist in a fantasy book.
“Magic?” Daenerys giggled. “I think you’re mistaken, Miss…?” Daenerys asked with an amused expression.
“Granger, but call me Hermione, and yes, you have magic,” Hermione told her with a serious expression.
After the initial shock, they were now sharing a cup of tea and, in Harry’s case, a cup of coffee in his kitchen. Daenerys was taken aback by the sight of Kreacher, who surprisingly didn’t find anything to criticize her for; maybe she would be considered a pure-blood in her world?
“My reasoning is simple: if you weren’t a magical person, you wouldn’t have landed in this place, as those who don’t have magic can’t enter places that are hidden under magic,” Hermione said with a serious tone.
Daenerys wanted to argue, but then she realized that there might be truth in what she was hearing.
“Well… I’ve heard that there have been magical people in my family, and it is said that we come from a magical land; it’s called Valyria, but I just thought magic had died. Magic hasn't been present in my family for generations,” the blonde said with a sad tone.
Her situation was really heartbreaking; she was the daughter of the previous king who was taken down and replaced by another incompetent fat fool, and after hearing all the horrible things the current king and his allies did during the war, it made Harry’s blood boil.
All of those things were done just for power; it seems like, regardless of the universe, humans are still the same power-thirsty creatures. He couldn’t help but feel disappointed about that fact, but also, he could understand why she wanted vengeance so much.
After all, he could see himself in her, even if what the current king did what was expected to keep the power and avoid future civil wars, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t wrong, after all, the same argument could be said about Voldemort, if he didn’t want to be destroyed, killing him when he was a baby would've been wrong but necessary, in the end that backfired for Voldemort but the point still stands, Harry didn’t justify him for what he did to his parents, so, he understood how Daenerys felt.
Then, she was sold to be married to a man much older than her in exchange for an army, and it was all done by her own brother, the person who was supposed to protect her. Harry couldn’t believe someone would do something like that to someone they’re related to.
The person most scandalized about that was Ron; he could never imagine himself doing something like making his sister marry someone like Lucius Malfoy for money or power, so now they were looking at her with sadness and pity, and Daenerys didn’t know how to feel about that.
“So… Do you really think I have magic like you guys?” She asked with an arched brow.
The Golden Trio felt that they knew why she was eager for the answer to be positive; she wanted the power. What little she saw about their powers, she knew it would be enough to get her throne back on her own without the need to marry the warlord.
No one said anything, they knew that if they introduced her to the world of magic, this could either go well in the best case or very very very wrong considering what she has told them about her family, the history, the marriages, their experiments and their fascination with fire, someone like that was a bit dangerous and then Harry surprised both Ron and Hermione when he gave her his wand.
“What is this?” The blonde asked, surprised.
“It’s a wand… In this world, this instrument is used to express our magic,” Harry explained in a calm tone. “Come on, give it a try; give it a little shake,” Harry encouraged her.
Daenerys was a bit hesitant; however, in the end she shook it gently, and this caused the wand to release some little sparkles, like when you plug in an electronic device.
“Wow,” she was awed.
“Well, it seems like you indeed have magic, Miss Targaryen,” Harry said with a smirk.
There was a silence; Daenerys was completely fascinated with the wand.
“Daenerys… What do you want to do now? You don’t have to worry about the throne, about Westeros, or about marrying that warlord,” Harry said with a calm tone. “You can stay here if you want to and live a peaceful life,” Harry tried to make her forget about that.
He knew how she felt, and he knew he was being kind of a hypocrite for trying to make her forget about her vengeance when he himself did that just a couple of weeks ago. The blonde dimensional traveler remained silent for a few moments as she tried to think about a good answer and then sighed.
“I would love to learn magic,” she said as she handed Harry his wand.
“Well, it seems like you still want to go back to your original place to reclaim your place with magic, right?” Asked Harry in a serious tone.
“No, I—did you just read my mind as Hermione did?” She asked, completely offended.
It made sense; no one likes when their secrets are being spilt.
“No, I don’t know how to read minds; I don’t have the right skills to achieve that.” He explained, and she was surprised to hear that.
Hermione nodded at the blonde; she more than well knew that her best friend wasn’t suitable for that, and because they didn’t want him to mess up with people’s minds, he decided to give up on Legilimency some time ago.
“Also… I can see it in your eyes, the fire, the wish for vengeance… I know that very well because I was just like you,” Harry’s words surprised her.
She knew there was something deeper behind his words; however, for now she decided to leave it like that. She didn’t want to intrude in his life.
“I guess… I’m just too obvious,” Daenerys sighed. “Yes, I want to get back what was stolen from my family, and I want to destroy those monsters who destroyed my family,” she admitted, and Harry nodded.
She was expecting Hermione, Ron, and Harry to push her away; however, she suddenly felt very warm as she there was a pair of arms embracing her. She was surprised, and then she blushed when she realized that it was Harry the one behind that.
“I know how it feels, Daenerys, and if you’re like me, then I’m sure you were never hugged before, right?” He asked in a calm tone.
She was surprised; he knew her very well. She managed to hold back her tears; she was strong, she wanted to be strong, and then she hugged him back. She liked the way he smelled.
“Listen up, Daenerys, I’m going to teach you everything I know about magic, and when the time comes, you’re not going to fight alone… I’ll go with you,” he told her with a grin.
To say that the blonde was taken aback would be a complete understatement.
