Today we are going to learn how to play in triplet rhythm, something that is vital and important to playing the blues. The first thing we are going to do with those blues is we are going to apply it to some old school tasty delta blues style turnarounds. The first triplet we did helped take your blues from some basic to something pretty flashy, but adding triplets and large intervals will really take your blues to the next level. These have a large influence from early blues pioneers from the Mississippi Delta, which is the place that birthed this genre of music. The blues music is what gave us everything from rock'n'roll to R&B and it all started in the delta, so might as well try and do the coolest Delta style turnarounds possible!

This day is really highlighting how much my ear and my fingers are not talking to each other. I can hear what I want to play, but the whole string-fret thing is very confusing. Practice practice practice.

Usually one is ore developed than the other, for a long time my fingers were more developed than my ears. With time they balance out though!

I’m seriously struggling with my timing ugh…. And minutes later… I set my iPhone metronome to 50 and I think I got it 🤣
