A blues tune with a great turnaround is like iced tea without the ice!

A total no-no Tenthumbers.   Today we are going to be learning 5 old school super stylish blues turnarounds in the key of G. They start with the easiest and they get progressively harder. We will show how to use the first on in the context of a full 12 bar blues if you are not familiar. After that we will teach the remaining 5 with the 5th one being a full blown tricky tricky turnaround with a monster lick at the end of it, the 4th is no joke either! You'll see that the first ones are the classic blues chords and riffs you know, using intervals and as we progress further we start to incorporate more carefully crafted licks that are designed to highlight and imply the changing chords.

The blues on the ukulele is a great way to learn how to write your own songs, improvise with other musicians and is really the best way to learn how to go from a strummer on the ukulele to a full blown musician. That is why we dedicate so much time to it here on our site. Not only that for those of us who have not been gifted with lovely singing voices it is the best way to have fun just jamming on the instrument without having to sing.

Working through the 10 day Blues challenge, and these fit right into to Lesson 4. Thanks Tyler.
