Christmas... and a tasty rock'n'roll riff?!? Sign me up!
Today we are going to learn how to play "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms on the Ukulele. This classic Christmas tune put some rock'n'roll into the holiday season and considering some of the the music that has come and gone since then it is probably viewed as kind of a tame song, but at the time in the late 50s, those tasty rock licks, this song was way ahead of its time, considering Christmas music was basically Bing Crosby wishing for some snow up to that point.
The song is in the key of D, I have seen a lot fo tutorials for this song in the key of G because it makes the riff and the rhythm a lot easier to play, but seeing as there are plenty of easier strummer versions out there I figured that we wold just play this song as close to the recording as possible.
