A little Hammer Horror this Halloween? Some Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee action.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, Brian’s Dog. Except: if they watch the first Hammer Dracula, Frankenstein, and Mummy- I think they’ll see Christopher Lee over and over and over again. (Did he play The Mummy in 1959 or was that someone else?)

I would DIE if they also added one of the Roger Corman 60’s Edgar Allen Poe films into the mix as well- House of Usher (1960) or Pit and the Pendulum (1961). They’re extremely psychedelic (the nightmare scenes) and the set design around the castle-like mansions they filmed in / around / at is SO moody!

And maybe just 1 Val Lewton film, maybe I Walked with a Zombie or The Leopard Man. Or, I suppose, Cat People.

OH! And 1963’s The Haunting. So classic and satisfying.

Absolutely, everyone eventually ages into that era of horror movies. Yeah Christopher Lee as the Mummy, and Peter Cushing as the lead in that one.

And when are we getting the long-awaited reaction to: The Insidious Sinister Malignant Strangers 2 - Funkadelic Electric Technicolor Dreamcoat Ballyhoo?

Really appreciate all the non-mainstream movies they’ve reacted to. I got Altered States in the Criterion sale and was wondering who to watch it with and I was somewhat confident they would have a reaction to something like that. And they may be the only reaction channel for it actually.

I am in serious financial difficulty, so I had canceled my membership. Then I got thinking, I can spare a dollar to support a channel I believe in. So, I joined again. Thank you for all your hard work. You are appreciated!

There’s a great space-opera that’s right up your alley; the Expanse. It drills down hard on space travel in our solar system, where ships don’t simply stop moving when the engines are turned off. The adversaries are primarily human, i.e. Earth, Mars, and the Belt. No focus on aliens bursting out of chest, or a reliance on jump scares to move the story along. By season 1, episode 3 you will receive the world building environment. It’s one of the best long series with only Battlestar Galactica in direct competition.
    Best wishes.

In line with Halloween, consider adding “Psycho Goreman” (2020) to your list.
    Brief Synopsis:
Space Demon Warlord under the complete control of a psychotic little girl. Hilarity ensues.
