🎨The Interlude | Reflecting on Act 1 of Clair Obscur Expedition 33

In this interlude video, I’m taking a moment to reflect on Act 1 of Clair Obscur Expedition 33. I share some of my thoughts and theories about the story, revisit parts of the prologue to catch hidden details like the trash can, and open up about how I’ve been feeling lately. Thanks for your patience and support, it means a lot.

First of all you are doing a great job, there is no reason to feel guilty and I'm sure that all of us see it that way. You put a lot of work, heart and soul in every video you create, thank you so much for that. ❤️ But I understand you, in my work I also feel a lot guilty, thinking I could have done this better or that faster, but that is just our stupid brain playing with us 😐 Secondly congrats to the new PC 🙂 Good idea to play on stream, no extra editing needed and we can give instant feedback and support, although it could get a little distracting for you 😅 but un a good way, more direct contact with the people who love your content.

I'm sorry things are bad for you i wish there was something we could do to help. I would love to watch you play a game on stream, a happy game. please take care Amber.

Really sorry to hear things are a little rough atm, no need to feel guilty, just take the time you need for yourself, we aren’t going anywhere, we aren’t going anywhere! It was fun to go back to check out a couple of the things you missed, some of your theorising is very interesting but I shall say nothing more on that just yet 🤐, excited to see you progress more and uncover the rest of the story when you’re ready. Appreciate the little update vid, and really hope life gets a little easier soon

Thanks for the Interlude, it was a fun little side quest 😄 I don't think I even found that trash can And thanks for sharing how you feel. I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble. As someone who deals with plenty of mental health, myself, sometimes words aren't enough to fill any emptiness, as I call most of it, but we're all here for you one way or the other, on break or not. I love seeing your videos, they help me fill some of that emptiness, and I hope you have something to do the same for whatever's keeping you down. Even if it's just the kindness of time to take it away. Looking forward to the next part of the playthrough, I think you're gonna love the rest of the game 😁

Thanks for sharing the interlude! It was nice to get an insight into where you are at before continuing. Take as much time as you need to process the events of the game. You're definitely not alone in needing a break to sit with it (I took at least a few days). I think this game does an absolutely beautiful job exploring and processing grief with the player and while it can feel very heavy, I think it's worth it to continue when you feel up to it. I hope that the game can offer some catharsis to whatever else you've got going on at the moment. It's rough out here in the world, but we continue 💗

You're definitely doing the right thing in taking your time to reflect with this game. It's meant to be a journey and something that sits with you. Don't be surprised if some things don't make much sense until way later on. I'm sorry the tough times have stuck around. Whatever's happening, please stay kind to yourself because you're doing a fantastic job here and you will make it out the other end at some point. Hope to catch the next stream, I missed the last one!

There's one thing you missed - at 7:00 you went past a door, but you didn't interact with it. Now to get the easter egg you have to interact with the door 33 times, for reasons that will become obvious it may look like I'm pulling your leg but I swear I am not. :) And I wish I had something better than "take care of yourself", but please do.

Hey Amber, I'm really sorry to hear things are tough right now. It's okay to take breaks, and don't feel guilty about it. Your well-being always comes first. I can relate, since I've been dealing with my own mental health for longer than I can remember. Watching your videos brings me a lot of joy, and I think you're doing an amazing job. Just remember to take care of yourself!

Finally caught up on the videos so I can actually watch this now. This series has been amazing. I’m literally playing the game myself and then going and watching your play through of the part of the game I just finished because your perspectives on it are so interesting (…and you keep spotting things I overlook). Thank you for doing this, and I hope brain stuff gets a little easier at least.

It’s astounding this game exists. When you finish playing it I recommend Skillup’s 1.5 hour documentary on its miraculous development process…so many confluences of serendipity between the writing, cast, musical score, raw talent, artistic vision and pure passion from all involved! I’m thankful I was alive to experience it. Btw, I still cry watching certain scenes again on YouTube. It’s like my eyes are saying, “oh we are watching this again…I better start squirting water out of my tear ducts”.

Hi Amber, any updates on Clair Obscur? I understand that Silksong has priority right now, but it would be nice to know whether you have already played more than you have posted (so after Sirène) and whether you intend to continue playing. Thanks!
