Hello everyone! Feeling a little lost on what to cover next. I have been a bit stuck this weekend and feeling like I dont know what to do! I am going to focus on Silksong for a bit, hoping that regular uploads will be more okay there now as it's not such a brand new release anymore with loads of spoiler territory to navigate haha. But I don't want to overdo it as the game is, honestly, very difficult for me and I feel lots of pressure with the uploads! (Also... I am a bit sad the game isnt performing anywhere near how HK did on YouTube lol I cant help it okay I feel like I have failed looool very wooo and not very weee)For anyone who's watched the channel for a while and has played any of the following games, do you think I would get along with any of them right now?

Dark Souls 3

GTA 5

Batman Arkham Minecraft

Shadow of the ColossusCyberpunk

---My own initial thoughts on each: DS3, nervous after the DS2 reaction which was quite negative. I have heard its one of the best in the series and I may like the atmosphere of it so it does sound fun but I am worried about playing a tough game like Silksong alongside it incase I get a bit burnt out GTA 5, apparently its very funny but I dont know if that kind of thing suits the channel or me? It looks like its a parody of the US to me, I mean the game was made by a Scottish studio lolBatman, I had a friend recommend both GTA and Batman saying they were very fun, with Batman being one of her favourites with really fun combat?Minecraft, it may be a bit too open for me right now but having a game I can pick up and put down as I like sounds really lovely and idealShadow of the Colossus, I would love to cover it but I think I would try a one and done video for it and that's a lot of work upfront haha Cyberpunk, I dont know if the channel suits it but I had heard its now an incredible game and I absolutely loved the Witcher 3---

Yeaaah, I am a bit aimless and directionless with the gaming channel atm, I think having the half life/portal series gave me a bit of focus this year but now I am kind of stuck. I need a life raft for a bit haha

I would vote for DS3. I also would offer another choice, Ender Lilies.

Mackthecatdad

I’m shocked the silksong videos aren’t performing well! They’re so incredibly well done, as always. I’ve also seen a good few comments that are so supportive of your style of gameplay and video editing, so I hope you keep at it! We love your content! As for the options, I absolutely vote for Batman. Such a fantastic series of games! Story is amazing, lots of good exploration, and fun combat.

Andrew LaValley

The batman trilogy are great and yes the combat is a lot of fun. They're a lot of fun. And I think you'd like the lore of shadow of the colossus.

Ian

I think Batman and Colossus fit the type of games that do well on your channel (beloved, linear games with memorable moments and interesting gameplay mechanics)

Mark

DS3 is an absolutely fantastic game, easily the best of the series and one I think you will enjoy as much as Bloodborne. But I understand the need for a palette cleanser, so would be inclined to suggest Minecraft - especially if you've not really played it before. Also very surprised the Silksong videos aren't doing as well, though I suppose it could be people trying to avoid spoilers while they work through it themselves.

Skeletor

SotC and Cyperpunk would definitely be my two picks. Shadow is a beautiful, timeless game and I think you'd really gel with it! Cyberpunk has an amazing story and offers a lot of choices in how it plays out. Love the characters and the setting a ton. I still find myself loading up an old save now and again just to drive around the city and listen to the soundtrack. I think either one would be great for long form content, but I hope you pick whatever game sounds the most fun for you!

Ed Myers

I think you would enjoy DS 3. DS 2 always seems to get love/hate type reactions but DS3 less so. Of course there's always going to be critics showing up - on any well known game. Batman games usually get a great response from what I have seen with people wanting you to play every one. I'm not much of a superhero person myself so can't comment personally. Of course with the time and effort you'll have to put in I hope you find something you really enjoy.

Jordan Gronli

Echoing some of the early responses, I would say Dark Souls 3, Batman, or Shadow of the Colossus would fit best from the list you provided. I also wonder if shorter games would work better for you in the short term given they are less daunting from a time commitment. The Portal games were really fun to watch and fit that shorter game length.

Capt Doug

Ooooo lots of choices! But before that, your Silksong play through for me at least has still been the best around by a mile! HK was very unique in the way that people were yearning for HK content for years, I don’t think it’s a reflection on you or the Channel, I’m sure in time the views will reach the same level! Dark Souls 3 - My favourite of the Souls games (probably the easiest also) for me id love to see you play this! GTA 5 - the last GTA I enjoyed was Vice City, GTA 5 was fun but it’s so big and I fell off it about half way through, but I’d happily watch you play it 100% Batman Arkham - 100/10 for me the trilogy is FANTASTIC, not super stressful and a lot of fun, great story also, out of the bunch this would probably be my top choice Minecraft - I’ve not played for years, I think it would be a fun stream game? I dunno I know Minecraft was MEGA popular on YouTube back in the day so maybe it still has that pull numbers wise. Would be fun to see you play it for sure The other 2 I haven’t played, I’d happily watch Shadow of the Colossus as I’m super interested in it heard only good things but Cyberpunk id probably hold off on watching until I’ve played it first

John jorts

Batman is INDEED a fun game and I think different than any game you've played on the channel? My vote would be for Shadow of the Colossus and you can make it one long ass video. But as you said, it would be a lot of work. I'm just gonna throw Baldurs Gate III out there haha. Not serious because that would be quite the endeavor for you. It's such a great game though and whenever you find the time you should try it out. A may be my game of the forever hahaha.

Munshai

I would vote for Dark Souls 3, I personally felt like this one was a bit more forgiving and fairer to the player. Otherwise, if you just want to relax and slow down a little, I'm sure we'd love to watch you play Minecraft!

Paul

DS3 is much better than 2, it’s my favourite in the series and I’d definitely enjoy seeing you cover it. It’s a bit different to what you’ve played in the past but Cyberpunk would be an interesting one too!

Ian Eborn

Hmm, tricky! I haven't played any of those myself, so I don't have direct aid to give. For myself, I'd love to see Dark Souls 3—but I do recognise that you've had... community issues with that series, so my heart is sore at suggesting it. Let me ask: would you be open to another suggestion...? It's okay if not! You were after all clear in giving a list of acceptable options! But I thought that I'd ask, just in case. As to Silksong, I'm sorry to read that it's not doing as well as you'd hoped! :/ For what it's worth, I will say that I'm currently loving the playthrough! I just finished the most recent episode—with long videos it usually takes me a few sessions to complete them. And your reaction to the beauty and tragedy of that most-recent boss was quite touching to see! I'm really excited to see your next episode there! ^_^ (And if I may, you seem, at least by my layman's read, to actually be rather good at the game!)

Alexander McClelland

Dark Souls 3 I would love to see eventually; I think DS1 is still the overall better game but DS3 is very good and generally much more popular than DS2. It is also the hardest Dark Souls game though so it might be a lot to jump into alongside Silksong. It's definitely something I recommend for when you feel like you're in the mood to tackle it though. GTA5 I don't know would be a great fit for your channel - I think it's a super fun game but it's very much a matter of taste and quite a lot of it has not aged well. The Batman Arkham games are great, particularly Asylum and City - this would probably be my strongest recommend for something to do next. Arkham Asylum has a very Zelda-ish feel to it with the way the game is structured and I think you'd have a good time with it. Minecraft is a hard one to judge, it's a pure sandbox so it would put a lot more on you as a YouTuber to find things to do to make it interesting, but of course people have made entire careers out of being Minecraft YouTubers so it's very much a thing one can do, just not sure if it's something you want to do. Shadow of the Colossus would be my second pick after the Arkham games. I think it would make sense as a one and done video thing, it's not a super long game (although long enough that it would be a hefty video) and is very gameplay and atmosphere focused so I think you'd enjoy it too. Cyberpunk I think you would probably like but it's also a massive game so it would be a huge commitment, it could make sense as a slow burn series though.

Jamie

DS3 is great. It’s more fun than DS2 and doesn’t attract so much hate. It is still hard though so while I’d love to see you play it I have to say save it till you’re feeling like taking on a hard game. I haven’t played any of the others on the list.

Royce Sparks

DS3, it's stunning and you will do great with it. It prioritizes the cinematic quality of the story more than difficulty, and is much less of a learning curve. Colossus is great and has very clean ways to break it up into segments. Night in the Woods is one that I think would suit this channel so much, and this is the perfect (intended) season for it! Whatever you pick, I can't wait to see what comes next. 😊

l.h. riley

Arkham and Shadow of the Colossus are relatively short compared to the others. I would suggest doing those simply to do something different while having a couple of new playlists for people. Cyberpunk is very good, but it is also a massive game. I would put GTA5 on the same level as Cyberpunk. You could put hundreds of hours into those two alone. It took me a decade to warm up to GTA5, btw. I felt very frustrated by it initially. It actually took playing Cyberpunk for me to understand what about GTA5 made me so frustrated. I don't know why Cyberpunk helped me understand GTA. The two games are not very similar. DS3 is probably going to have a better response than DS2, but it is still a lot of game. And it is incredibly difficult compared to the previous games in the series. Minecraft is a forever game in a lot of ways, and I would suggest that it could be a good single player series as well as a community event with a member server where people can show off their creativity. I would also suggest just playing a ton of smaller games that you could sprinkle in while you spend time digesting the bigger games on your list. I'll add that I trailed off of Silksong videos for a couple reasons. First I was playing the game, so I was delaying for a bit to avoid spoilers. Then I got burned out by Silksong because it just doesn't end. I ended up not wanting to watch anything related because I was overwhelmed. I think playing new releases for YouTube content is just generally not an effective way to get views. If you released the series a year after release it would probably be something people would be more inclined to seek out.

TheReinx1

DS3 seemed (to me) like a culmination of everything the studio had been working on up to that point and is executed flawlessly. Since you are quite good at the souls games in my opinion, I don't think this would give you much trouble, even with Silk Song in parallel. If I can throw my own suggestion in, you might look at a play through of Phasmophobia (since we are inching towards spooky season), as it offers an easy pick it up/put it down style (once you learn the ropes!) that might suit your mood. The studio has done some great updates in the last couple of months to game play and level design that would look great on your channel. (It's REALLY scary though, fair warning!). Still loving all your content, thank you for the chill vibes and fun times!

Reyes9

U should play Astrobot. Fun and easy game to get into.

Ian Eborn

Just seconding Night in the Woods! I think that it would be a really good fit, nicely timely in October, rather moving, and not particularly action (and so a break from tougher games like Silksong). I'd love to see Amber play it!

Robert C.

I'd vote for Batman Arkham or Shadow of the Colossus personally!

Don Bernacz

DS3 or batman sounds like a good choice - if you're after something open world but story led, I personally loved Sleeping Dogs, which is a bit of an oldie by now, but the story is better than GTA and it's contemporaries IMO 😅

ChilledGricken

for DS3, i'd say its more in the style of bloodborne, faster and a bit more straightforward than 1 and 2. a lot of the ds2 reaction i imagine came from the general distaste for that game within the community. i would love to see it but it's up to you if you're up for a stressful souls experience i'm not entirely sure GTA 5 would be a great fit. the mission structure is similar to RDR2, although the story is more parodic and more of a political commentary. a lot of the humour hasn't aged well either, imo. ofc i don't know your taste to a tee, but it's not something i'd think to recommend you arkham asylum is fun! the first game is quite linear, the combat is fun, the story is your average comic book story experience, pretty harmless! minecraft is an odd one! given your style of videos, i'd say that maybe it would make for a better casual stream game? most minecraft let's plays that i've seen are much more edited, there's a lot of downtime in the game where you're just travelling/mining/farming, etc. always a fun time tho! it's great to build your own little place and go on adventures, and it would be interesting to see someone who doesn't really know how to play! shadow of the colossus is really really good for a let's play. beautiful music, beautiful visuals and story. also has very clear cut-off points, as has been said. stunning game, overall, does get sad tho! cyberpunk is BIG. it's a good game, but yeah big open world rpg with a ton of side content. story is heavy in its themes and, given that it's a cyberpunk world, there is vanishingly little hope to be found. up to you if that's your current vibe.

Damon Black

I'd personally like to see Elden Ring or DS3. Either one is fine. And I know editing is a lot of work, and I don't know about anyone else here, but I personally love unedited videos. It's like watching a live vod. Easier on the creator and more content for us. Like fightincowboy on his first playthroughs, they are unedited. He has a welcome back y'all like every 30 minutes or so, however long he decides to have an episode, but the content is unedited. I prefer watching streamers vod channel uploads than their heavily edited stuff. Of course I love your YouTube videos, just saying I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't mind if you edited way less to make things easier on you and it'd give us more raw content lol

Marcel Génetay

Absolutely loving your Silksong playthrough, just like I loved your HK Let’s Play back in the day. Every episode is a joy to watch, and you’re doing so well! I’m currently following three different Silksong playthroughs: yours, Mapocolops’ (88k subs) and Welonz’ (103k subs). As you see you’re about the same in terms of how many subscribers you have. Mapocolops is getting around 8-12k in viewers per Silksong episode, with the first episode having 21k. Welonz is getting around 3-5k with the first episode getting 19k. You leave them behind in the dust, just when it comes to viewership numbers, though they both have dedicated fambases. But also when it comes to attention to details, skills, and commentary. I don’t think you’ve failed at all! It’s just difficult to attract viewers to newly released games, though you’re doing better than the rest I’ve seen, a testament to how fun it is to watch you play! The game is difficult, yes, and obviously you only have your own playthrough to judge things from. But as someone who’s both playing the game and watching multiple Let’s Plays, I must say that you’re selling yourself short and being too hard on yourself. In fact I’d say you’re doing splendidly so far, against the platforming, the regular yet challenging enemies, and the many bosses (that made me want to tear my hair out, yet you often bested in very few tries). Can’t wait to see you discover more!

RedCrusade

I love Shadow and suspect you will also, but it might be better played on your own given the pacing and size of the game world. I'd say DS3 or Cyberpunk.

DVHalen

Hope you don’t feel pressure on the Silksong uploads, take as long as you like I reckon - I’m finding it very tough as well, tougher than HK - but I still love the game, a great feeling to overcome the challenges! I’ve decided to take longer with it myself and be more relaxed about it, build up the muscle memory gradually - playing shorter bursts and stopping when I’m getting frustrated is important for me - otherwise i start to hate it a bit and I don’t want that - tougher for you when you feel you are on a schedule, but I don’t think most people would mind however long it took you, if you were enjoying the times you did play. As for recommendations, I loved Cyberpunk - thought the setting was amazing, the story really good - and you can play it in lots of different ways - and like Witcher 3 it’s a big world but always pretty clear what you need to do, and what you have yet to do

Dave P.

Shadow of the Colossus is a fantastic game and isn't overly long, similar to Arkham Asylum, do either of those could be good. 🙂

Imaginaut Games

Batman Arkham Asylum is an excellent, if a bit dated, game and features the one true Joker, Mark Hamill (also Firelord Ozai, in case you weren't aware), and the one true Batman, Kevin Conroy, Rest in Peace. Sure you'd have a blast playing through it! I think you'd also really enjoy the vibe of Supergiant Games' games if you've never given them a try. Bastion could easily be a one and done video, Transistor probably also, though perhaps on the longer side. My personal favourite Supergiant Game is Pyre, it's a bit longer than the first two and a much richer narrative experience with a large cast of diverse playable characters. And then there's Hades which is incredible in every conceivable department, and Hades II which takes everything the first game did masterfully and somehow improves further.

CrwTheWanderer

DS3 will definitely get a better resction than 2. It is also faster paced like Bloodborne in the combat. If you're in the right mindset for a souls game, it should be a good choice.

Marcel Génetay

As for what to play next, I’d love to see you play the Batman: Arkham games! Especially the first one is very much like a Metroidvania. They’re lovely games with compelling gameplay and nice storytelling, and are also an excellent entry point to Batman in general. I also think the first game, Arkham Asylum, is an excellent Halloween game. That said, a Minecraft Let’s Play would be very chill and lovely to watch.

CrwTheWanderer

If you play Minecraft, you may want to give yourself a goal, or you can end up feeling aimless. I can't really comment on the other options except to say I will watch whatever you play

Neil Hanson

If you just want to have some fun playing a game I'd say GTA V is the one to go for (although if you're easily offended you may want to skip it).

DrGravity

First of all please don't feel like you've failed at anything, The main thing that matters is that you're still enjoying making Silksong and other content and engaging with the community. I get you'll have your own metrics for success that you judge yourself by, but by the communities metrics you are doing a great job! On the games, I'll offer my opinions of the one's I'd recommend GTA 5 - Great game, seen a few Youtuber's do playthroughs recently including Miranda and they've all enjoyed them. It's a big open world so if you ever don't feel like following the main story there's always other fun stuff to do (like play Tennis lol). On the other hand if you want a smaller game, this isn't it Batman Arkham Asylum - Another great game. It's relatively small and focussed compared to things like GTA and Cyberpunk and every Youtuber I've seen played it has loved it and usually played through the sequels. Would strongly recommend if you're not after a big open world game Cyberpunk - It's a great RPG, again it's probably down to whether you want a smaller more linear experience or a big open world RPG. I loved my time with the game but I also don't know if it's as popular lets play choice vs GTA or Arkham Minecraft- If you want something to just chill out to play, it's a good choice. Not sure about a long term let's play but think it could be a good choice for casual streaming As far as the others you mentioned, I don't think you had the best time with DS2 so I wouldn't go for DS3 but I might be in the minority. SotC is on my list but havent played yet, but might work for a one and done video (if it was a long one) Also, since you mentioned a couple of massive games gonna throw out *cough* Mass Effect*cough* (Sonewhere Doug just sat straight up like he heard a dog whistle lol). Sorry I know you didn't ask for ideas but if you wanted a something bigger to play I would place the ME trilogy above GTA and Cyberpunk, best series I've ever played with some of the best writing and characters. Every lets play / streamers playthrough I've seen has always been a great experience. Whatever you decide though has got my support!

Jakob Stuart

The arkham series is basically a costume party brawl. Could be fun for the spooky season. Dark souls 3 would just be a waste if you feel burnt out on those games.

Scot J

Want tons of meaty lore and a thinking person’s shooter? Bioshock series - three games. Starts with an underwater dystopia, ends with a steampunk world in the clouds. Bioshock Infinite, the third game, is my favorite game of all time. Games average 90+ on Metacritic. Light and fun? AstroBot. Impossible to play without a huge smile on your face. It’s a platformer, lots of references to PlayStation games. Each level is self contained and lends itself well to a playthrough video format. Burned out playing dark games and want a reminder of how enjoyable games can be, this is the answer. Won game of the year last year - 94/100 on Metacritic. Action filled shooter with awesome lore and a mystery to solve? Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. Outdoor shooters with brains. Female protagonist coming of age story, huge believable Sci-fi mystery at its core, and you get to fight robot dinosaurs in some of the most original and engaging combat ever. Best looking game ever made. My second favorite game of all time. 89/100 on Metacritic.

Arkytior

I think you'll enjoy Dark Souls 3 more than 2, but going to a long and diffcult game at the same time (or right after) Silksong might be a bit much. My vote is on the Arkham Asylum. Easily to get into, more linear and super fun!!

Julian

Sorry about the underperformance with silksong 😔 but hopefully there's some comfort in knowing you've got some people out there really enjoying it 👍 As far the next games, I'm torn between Shadow of the Colossus and Batman. I'd love to see any of the games mentioned, but I feel like you'll vibe better with one of those two at least right now, from what it sounds like. And they're both incredibly fun in their own ways! If I lean toward one, I maybe lean toward Shadow. And Minecraft might be a decent streaming option if you're looking for a mellow option, but I'm not really confident about that statement, haha. Looking forward to seeing what gets picked! 😁

A Former Newt

I can only assume Silksong isn't performing as well as HK because it's still new and people don't want it spoiled. As for the options you gave, I'd love to see DS3 at some point but it can be quite difficult so probably not best to pair with Silksong, have a difficult series and a more relaxed one would be my recommendation. GTA5 can be a lot of fun but I'm not sure if it would suit you or the channel. Batman Arkham would be my recommendation, the series as a whole is great but Arkham Asylum will always hold a special place in my heart. Unless the combat doesn't click for you it should be a fairly easy game to get through While Minecraft can be fun I'm not sure how suited to videos it would be? Maybe play it occasionally as a relaxed stream or something? Shadow of the Colossus would probably be my next pick after Arkham but if you're thinking of doing it as a one and done then it might be a bit of a commitment at the moment. While Witcher 3 is still my favourite game of all time, I think a Cyberpunk playthrough would be brilliant to see. My only concern with it is that the game is huge so you'd probably want a few smaller pallette cleanser games to alternate with

Lot_TheKing

Shadow of the Colossus or Cyberpunk would be awesome

Aj

Out of the ones you mentioned, Dark Souls 3 feels like the logical continuation since you've already done Dark souls 1 and 2 (and Bloodborne). I think that could do quite well since it's a popular game and most people like it way more than DS2. It's not one of my favourites in the series, but I know it is for a lot of folks who are fans of the series. Personally, I'd also love to see Shadow of the Colossus at some point because it's one of my favourite games of all time and I think there's a chance it could be right up your alley. It influenced games like Dark Souls a ton. There's a modern remake, too, so fairly easy to get your hands on. It's not particularly long, either, so you could do it in a couple of parts (or just one REALLY long one lol). The others may or may not be worthwhile. I like some of them (like Batman), others not so much (GTA I don't think would be your thing), but I suppose it's up to you; what you feel like playing and how soon you're done with Silksong.

Aj

I suspect it's the fact that it's a new game. Some people are probably avoiding spoilers as they want to play it themselves and the critical reception for Silksong hasn't been as positive as it was for Hollow Knight.

Aj

Dark Souls 3 difficult? Is that the consensus? In my experience, and for most people I know, it's far easier than the earlier games (outside of certain boss fights).

Chris Maple

I think I've mentioned it before, but maybe Planet Crafter instead of Minecraft? It's super laid-back, and while fairly open, there is a goal. Also, maybe Tombraider? I'd love to watch a playthrough of the most recent trilogy. If you like puzzles, there's Poly Bridge; highly entertaining to watch, too 😄 Oh! Maybe Black Mesa, since you enjoyed HL? The Stanley Parable would be fun to watch, if you're up for it. Another beautiful platformer would be HOA.

l.h. riley

Did you play them in release order? If so your experience is probably shaded by the progression of difficulty in the series. Dark Souls absolutely becomes more difficult as the series progresses, and FromSoftware became more aware of what they could do with the game mechanics. Same is true even between the base games vs their DLC in every installment upto and including Elden Ring.

danberado

I definitely had to pause your Silksong videos because you got ahead of me. If you need a palate cleanser for Silksong's difficulty, maybe try Animal Well? Of the games listed in your post Batman, Shadow of the Colossus, and Cyberpunk interest me more. GTA5 is zero interest for me.

G. Gringle

I’ve been playing Silksong alongside you, and it’s been a really cool experience. You’re great at remembering to check all the walls for hidden secrets. It’s helped me out more than once 😊. The difficulty’s a motherfucker sometimes, but you’re doing awesome. Always impressed by your agility and instincts. Shadow of the Colossus is a straight-up all-time classic and feels like a good fit for the channel whenever you're ready for it. I’ve always wanted to check out the Arkham games but haven’t gotten around to them. I'd be happy to experience them vicariously through you. I watched that stream VOD you mentioned in your last Clobs post (Amber be streamin’?), and saw Katamari was recommended. Definitely agree. Those games are super silly and fun, with such catchy music. Not sure if Cult of the Lamb (I think it was on one of your lists) is maybe better suited for a stream, but it’s a roguelike base-building game that’s pretty fun, cute, well-drawn, and has those dark Halloween vibes. It’s like Hollow Knight (visuals), Link to the Past (dungeons), Animal Crossing (villagers), and a Satanic cult had a kid… or something like that. Not super deep, but a good time. I don’t know much about how YouTube engagement works, but I hope you’re not too discouraged by the recent numbers. You’re a really good creator...one of the realest I've found. Thanks for all the hard work you put in.

Makhiel

Minecraft could be fun but it's a sandbox so it kinda depends what you want out of it. I haven't really played any of the others, so…

Jordan Gronli

Fully endorse the Supergiant Games catalog

LoZander

Im sorry about Silksong not getting as good views as Hollow Knight. Like i saw someone else say, do think its probably just that a lot of people are still playing it themselves. I've been enjoying your Skong playthrough! About some of the games you mention: I do think you'd enjoy a lot of what Shadow of the Colossus has to offer. I know some people find the climbing and horseback riding finicky, but i think both are good once you get a little used to them. They are just a little nonconventional. But either way, i think you'd really enjoy the vibes, presentation, atmosphere and story (well told even if minimal), as well as the puzzle solving of fighting the Colossi. And between Colossi, its actually a pretty chill game too, because you get to just explore this beautiful but desolate land they inhabit, with a lot of vague hints of civilations gone by that we will never know, and its kinda vibes. Some cool room for speculation too! I've actually been thinking id love to see you play it before :) DS3 is def a different beast from DS2. Combat wise it's somewhere between DS1 and Bloodborne. More defensive than Bloodborne but not as clunky as DS1. It's a much more consistent experience than DS2 for sure. I think consensus is that either DS1 or DS3 are best. Its a hard game and much more dodge focused than DS1 (which was often about positioning). But i dont think its necessarily that much harder, outside of DLC maybe. I think you'd like it, but I agree it might be a lot to do alongside Silksong, since both are hard games.

David Smith

I think you’d enjoy Cyberpunk’s environment very very much. Just wandering around town in that game is the best I’ve ever seen, by far. The story might be a bit too much grimdark after e33’s tragedy

mattbrush3pwood

You mentioned fairly recently that after silksong and Clobs you wanted to try something less taxing. I think everything on that list other than DS3 fits that for you. Personally, the videos I love watching most on your channel are when you form a connection and/or really have fun with the game your playing. With those in mind I think Arkham Asylum would be an awesome shout. It's not too long, has a brilliant story and is dark/gritty without being too emotionally draining. Second vote would go to Minecraft as I'd imagine it would be a chill time! I just want to see you have fun tbh.

LatterDayMutant

I would love Minecraft or DS3, personally. I think you'll enjoy DS3 far more than 2, most people do. However, it is stressful and long, so if that's not the vibe right now it would be best to hold off.

fenixpengwyn

Batman or Shadow now. Once you're done with Silksong, I'd start DS3. Then Cyberpunk after that or maybe start the Ender games, Lilies and Magnolia. Also the Silksong playthrough has been great so far and hopefully more viewers remember to hype the new videos up.

SpectR0nn

Would love DS3 of course, but honestly I don't think it's a good choice right after Silksong. I'm sure you will like it much more than DS2, but it's still long and hard, which is why it doesn't feel like the right fit currently. GTA5 doesn't feel like it would fit your channel. Honestly, I would rather see you play RDR2 instead. The Batman Arkham games are fun and cool. I'm sure you will particularly enjoy the exploration and puzzles in them and there's also a lot of cool little details to look at in the environment. An entire series commitment at once would be a bit much though perhaps. The games become longer and more expansive for every sequel. But just playing through Arkham Asylum alone would be very solid. SOTC would be perfect, as would ICO and The Last Guardian btw. Those all fit your channel really well if you ask me. If you can, I would definitely try for a full playthrough of SOTC though. You should be able to divide it up in two or three parts. I can't really comment much on Cyberpunk. I still need to continue my own playthrough of that. I have also heard that it's well beloved nowadays though. Some other games for your consideration: - RE7 and RE8, since you've already played and enjoyed the remakes of the previous games. it's fine to skip over 5 and 6 anyway, since 7 and 8 have pretty self contained stories. Also, RE9 will be coming out next year, so it's good prep for that too. Heck, you might even try the RE1 remake, a true all time classic! - The Silent Hill 2 Remake maybe, although perhaps it's still too soon after playing the original last year? It's a good deal longer than the original as well, so might take you about as long as RE4. - Staying in horror theme: Still Wakes the Deep is a great story focused horror game set on a Scottish oil derrick in the seventies. Good story, great voice acting, good creepy vibes. You can play through it in like two sessions. - Even more horror: the Little Nightmares games are worthwhile to play through, at least the first two games. Amazingly dark and creepy vibes. The last one that just came out wasn't received too well and was made by a different studio though. - Split Fiction with Emma? It's good fun and you can knock that out in like two or three sessions. - Tunic is a fantastic Zelda-like game that's all about discovery and puzzles and it has incredibly inventive metatextual gameplay and story elements. Really unique once you start to peel off it's deeper layers. - Death's Door is a more straightforward Zelda-like game and a really good one at that. I greatly enjoyed this one some years ago. - Cocoon is an amazing puzzle and exploration game that isn't too demanding either and can be played through in just one or two sessions. - Psychonauts and it's sequel are incredibly creative and unique 3D platformers that I am certain you will be heavily charmed by. - I have to mention Sword of the Sea and The Pathless as great post-Silksong pallette cleansers. I played both of them after my own Silksong playthrough and they were perfect for that. Sword of the Sea you can knock out in just one session too. - Maybe the Spider-Man games instead of the Batman Arkham games? They are more light hearted for sure, but still with an immersive story with compelling characters. - Otherwise perhaps try your hand at some point 'n click adventure games like Grim Fandango (got a remaster some years ago), the Monkey Island games, Day of the Tentacle (also has a remaster) or Full Throttle (another remaster)

I would love to watch Shadow of the Colossus. Even if the video is a one and done, that's fine. Not everything needs to be a committed multipart series.

Adam

It's not you. It's just people have terrible attention spans, they generally cycle through shorts content. I think there is opportunity to clip interesting things happening in the games you're playing to draw viewers to the LPs just like you did with the few HK ones. As for the games you suggested, they're all great but I'd personally be interested in something light and funny like a point and click adventure game; Day of the Tentacle is one of my faves. Or a relaxing puzzle game with environmental twists like The Witness. Or just take a break and play some things for yourself.

Lamppost in Winter

Maybe the Supergiant games (Bastion, Transistor, etc.) would be a good fit right now? They're pretty short (apart from Hades and its sequel), not very difficult and not as emotionally intense as Clobs

Flukemarm

I'd love to see Shadow of the Colossus, it's a very "episodic" feeling game so it might actually be easy to edit into two videos. (Plus Ico/SoTC/Last Guardian fans like to look for playthroughs) Could do something like 'Costume Quest' for Halloween, short and simple turn-based RPG about kids trick or treating. Once Upon a Katamari coming out soon and that series could be a "life raft". Katamari games have a 5-6 hour main story and are happy and funny; could play Katamari Damacy reroll/We Love Katamari reroll before the new one. And of course I feel the need to keep pushing Lil' Gator Game, a game that should be played when you're depressed. For the others: DS3 - should be fun as long as you're in the mood for more souls gameplay GTA 5 - not much interest, it's a long drawn out game and none of it really seems to fit your style Arkham Asylum - Fun, manageable game and if you're not into Batman it does a pretty good job of introducing everything Minecraft - I could imagine it being fun on stream or something with a lot of chat engagement: dying in funny ways while distracted, being confused on how to build stuff and needing help, asking "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?", etc. Cyberpunk - seems like a good fit but it would be a big commitment

Dav

I’d love to see you play through Obra Din. Lucas Pope’s s so talented it’s kinda annoying! Honestly DS3 a lot like DS2 just isn’t as interesting as DS1, Demons, Sekiro. A couple of “one and done” games that didn’t get any attention and I loved that I played recently were observation and Dordogne. Arkham Asylum was ok at the time, but not sure it’s aged too well, GTA as well was satirising stuff that it seams we’ve gone beyond now. Shadow of the Colossus is a genuine all-timer, if you want to go straight into another game that leaves you in a sense of existential crisis on completion :)

TonyBadP5

Shadow of the Colossus is great. And maybe I am going against the flow but why a one and done video? It would be a great "casual" game in 6 parts (of about one hour or something each). Practically your videos have become too long for me to consume them in a time when it still matters for the algorithm... Cyberpunk I would also love to see you play. It looks awesome but I have come to terms with the fact that I will never have the time to play it, so... watching you play it is the next best thing that could happen for me.

Joe Leary

Honestly I think you'd enjoy DS3 a lot more than 2, more fun bosses and less annoying exploration. You would *really* vibe with shadow of the colossus :) also as someone who's really into deep stories, SOMA is a surprisingly deep psychological thriller which doesn't take long to completely, the story is amazing

Ellie Longfellow

Minecraft would absolutely put me to sleep in the best possible way, I would adore a scattered playthrough of that. Arkham has fun combat, and some light puzzles. Would definitely be "relaxing" as I don't think that series has ever been considered very difficult. GTA I don't know much about because I don't like the characters or writing very much but I could see you leaning into the Simpsons Hit and Run open world part of it and just being a menace 😅

Ellie Longfellow

Seconding Supergiants earlier work, not even as a series but just as a palette cleanser. Very compact pleasant games with AMAZING soundtracks

G. Gringle

Agreed on Night in the Woods 🌙

Phil

Shadow of the Colossus is excellent, but I would agree doing a first time playthrough in one video would be difficult. I actually played DS3 for the first time recently myself. It wasn't bad by any measure, but in a post Elden Ring world, everything else just feels lesser in comparison now. The best way I can describe GTA franchise is that it is an open world RPG set in modern America. While the worlds they make are typically a blend of parody/social commentary on American culture, the stories tend to be very well written. I would also love to see you do a playthrough of Tunic (assuming you haven't already finished it on the side). It's got some incredible visual storytelling and is probably one of my favoriate games of this decade so far. And you don't need to be worried about translating the language, it's entirely optional.

Michelle

I feel like Minecraft could be a nice change up/a little lower stakes while you're figuring out what feels like the right next thing. If it helps with the worry about the open-ness of the game there is a menu of "advancements" in there that acts as a bit of a guide for what you could do/experiment with next. I would also be down to watch some shorter indie games if you find any that suit your interest. I feel like a game that's only meant to be like a 5-10hr playthrough could be nice. I know I loved your playthroughs of a short hike, unpacking, thank goodness you're here, etc :)

Michelle

After my previous comment I was reminded of the rusty lake series. any of those would be great for a little spooky-ish indie one-shot video :)

Huib Gelling

I‘d be happy with any of these picks, but I do feel like they’re all huge, hard and/or sad :/ Except for Arkham Asylum! DS3 isn’t as difficult as Silksong (or Hollow Knight, for me anyway), but it is harder than Bloodborne and it is quite a long game. Haven’t played GTA5, but I think it’s huge and presents a hyper version of the US, which might get someone (anyone) thinking on the current state of the world/US :/ Arkham Asylum is great, not too big and comfortingly linear ^^ I do remember being slightly annoyed at some fights, but that’s it. Arkham City, however, is huge xD But I think you haven’t played Asylum yet, right? I don’t know if there even is a story mode in Minecraft. Is there one? I think what you didn’t like about Tears of the Kingdom is the same with Minecraft, but tenfold :( Shadow of the Colossus is so sad the whole way through, I tried playing it but quit everytime after a couple of bosses/chapters. I don’t think you’re in the right headspace for this :/ Cyberpunk is awesome and amazing, but it is also huge. You can stick to the main story which cuts down on playtime, but even then I think you’re looking at 40-60 hours. From these options I’d say Arkham! ^^ (Thinking of other games: Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime (remaster) and Obra Dinn shouldn’t be too taxing :) ) Take care and take your time, have a little think on it, play something on your own, no need to be concerned with us, we’re big kids :)

Stefan

Hi, just sharing my very personal thoughts here. DS3 was fun but is also a lot to cover. Maybe Demon‘s Soul is a better alternative? GTA is fun to play but watching on the channel, I don‘t know. The Arkham series is a must play for gamers. I played Arkham Asylum three times now and still think about a fourth round. I would recommend it for you! Arkham City is bigger but also good. Arkham Knight was a bit disappointing and I would skip it. Minecraft is not interesting for me at all. SotC is a classic but the setting is special, maybe you check it out first? Cyberpunk is also an option. I started it two times but lost interest and played The Witcher 3 for a third time. I would prefer it over Cyberpunk. Whatever you choose, play what you like not what you think might be expected.

Andrew LaValley

I had another thought too. I figure you might enjoy the bioshock and/or dishonored series if you've never played them before. Dishonored in particular is great because while they are assassination games, you have the ability to complete each of them without killing anyone. (it's a tougher challenge and might be better on a second playthrough). There's also two levels in D2 that are masterful in design that are still a joy to play even though I've beaten them several times: The Clockwork Mansion and A Crack in the Slab.

Trolez

From the games listed, Arkham Asylum is probably the best choice for you right now. Usually a pretty popular game on YouTube and not a huge ordeal to get through. Other than that, I see many great suggestions on your rankone profile.

atropos148

I only played Batman Arkam city, but the first 2 arkham games are pretty much perfect for your channel. Story based, linear with a very good combat system. Has lots of well written characters. City even lets you wander around a bit and find extra challenges from Riddler. Cyberpunk is also a good pick, not as much aa Batman. There are too many sidequests in Cyberpunk, but there is some room for guessing what will happen in the main story. There is a lot of shooting in combat, but you did good with that in Half Life. You would just have to keep yourself on track so the series doesn't take forever to finish.

atropos148

I will join in recommending Dishonored games. Especially played in releaae order, you can see the story expand so much thru the games.

atropos148

Short Hike would be really nice to see :) It's a few hours of colorful fun, with heartwarming ending.

atropos148

I didn't play Obra Dinn, but isn't it also stressful / sad? Considering you are figuring out how the whole crew of a ship died?

atropos148

Both Costume Quest and Katamari are great ideas

atropos148

The Witness would be difficult to make into an interesting series, there would be a lot of editing. However, Day of the Tentacle is an amazing idea :) Very funny, not too long and very easy to split into episodes

Kenny

I know nothing about the next game you should play (I'd be interested in Colossus, personally) but please don't feel bad about Silksong's performance :( It's so good. It's my favorite playthrough and I've seen many say the same. Maybe it'll kick off randomly some time in the future as what happens sometimes with Youtube.

atropos148

Tunic and Cocoon seem like great fits for the channel. I just wonder what would Amber do after the "first ending" of Tunic? :)

Jason McClain

This is the trap that a lot of content creators fall into, the anxiety that comes with feeling like you can only play games people like, or only play games a certain way or at a certain level. You're a natural streamer. You're engaging, entertaining, fantastic at editing, and man are you a gamer! Your pattern recognition is otherworldly and you're so incredibly observant. The best streams are always going to be ones where we just get to watch you enjoy the hell out of Pharloom, or Lordran. I would permasub to you on Twitch if it meant a streaming schedule, and then you can simply upload full VODs to YouTube! Oh, and to answer your question, Dark Souls 3 is the God Tier choice! Don't sweat it Amber, you're the absolute authority on Hollow Knight and Silksong YouTube, no one not named Mossbag even comes close.

atropos148

Sleeping Dogs is such a good game, and the story is well done. It really shows why the main character chamges alliances over time.

atropos148

I spent 90 minutes getting thru that first boss in DS3. It is very difficult.

Simon

Cyberpunk: Really fun and atmospheric game and while it is huge, you can skip most of it. On the downside, it's main story is way more depressing than you would think when taking a quick glance at it. (In contrast, some of the side quests can be silly in the best possible way.) Batman: Asylum and City are great and as far as I remebter, Asylum is not particularly long. You could make that a let's play and cover Arkham City later on, in case you enjoyed it. GTA5: For me personally, all of the games in the series are fun for a couple of hours (driving around, some witty writing) but I lose interest quite quickly. The gameplay is too repetetive imho and while there are some memorable moments, the story as a whole is not that interesting. DS3: I don't think you have to worry that it would be received like DS2. The sentiment around DS3 is a lot more positive in general and in terms of atmosphere it has some areas with a very bloodbourny vibe, which seems to click with you. From this list, it would be my favourite to watch a let's play of, but of course it would be a commitment to another long and difficult game, so it's understandable if you would rather put it aside for the moment. (Personal take: Even if it's not the correct order of things, Elden Ring has a good chance of getting views, as it is Fromsoftware's most successfull game. It's open world means that if you get stuck at almost any point, you can just go somewhere else and come back later. The hardest bosses are mostly optional. Also it's co-op feature is relatively usable, so you could call Emma or someone else in, if you feel like it. The only negative point, if you can call it that, is that game being humongous.)

Kelly Nolan

none of those sound like you. dark souls stressful. Minecraft building, ok to post as a first time playing video. shadow of the colossus cute,no story. GTA 5, batman, and Cyberpunk eh, What about Fallout 4 or the Mass effect series. I hope this helps Amber.

Andy

Said this a few times but Animal Well is a game that you would enjoy and suits the channel! Also would love to see you revisit Tunic which is one of the best "Metroidbranias" ever made. Sad to hear Silksong hasn't performed as well as you thought but most people will want to avoid spoilers, I have been watching your videos only when I'm sure I've completely cleared the areas you're in

BexNeko

I think Silksong will perform better over time, it’s so new that as a player it’s hard to balance wanting to see how people play the game (like yourself) and not wanting to spoil it for myself. And I am guessing a lot of people feel the same about it. I would love you to play something you’re excited to play. From those on your list I would be interested in Batman.

b0n3man

I'll pitch in as well! Dark Souls 3: My personal favourite of the Dark Souls trilogy, so i might be a bit biased here, but it's easily more enjoyable than 2. The game is, imo, easier than Silksong up until the DLC where it has a few really difficult fights. Exploration feels way better, it's less dreary to look at, and i feel like it's just a "better" vibe all around (however good a vibe can get in a From Software game). It is however, still a difficult game so if your mind isn't set for that right now, just wait it out a little longer GTA 5: I may be in the minority here, but i've never found the games all too interesting. But, it's not me playing, and you might enjoy! The missions look pretty fun, and some of the broader things to do in the game are entertaining as well. It's still pretty long even if you just focus on the story. (30-ish hours i believe?) Batman Arkham: Asylum is a straightforward story game with fun combat and a relatively tight story. If you're looking for a shorter game that doesn't require a lot of mind power and isn't emotionally heavy, it's absolutely a good choice. Minecraft: This is mindless fun. There's a goal in minecraft, but it's completely open ended so you can play it for as long or short as you like. And like you said, very easy to just hop in and play for a while. Shadow of the Colossus: Also a shorter game that's pretty linear if you're just doing the story. There's a bunch of sadness involved, but the fights are phenomenal. They're mini-puzzles to figure out while being blasted by amazing music. Cyberpunk: This one is difficult. On the one hand it's an amazing game (after they patched it to be amazing, at least) but on the other it's a long, open world game and the main story is depressing. It's a good story however. Another recommendation i've seen here is Mass Effect, and i'd say that's a very good choice too. It is a long trilogy, but it has amazing characters, amazing story with (mostly) impactful choices. It has it's deep moments, it has moments of joy, it has moments of whimsy and it's told in a fun to interact with way. The pacing is strong, even if you decide to tackle side stories (which i do recommend) and i feel there's never really a dull moment. Just a more relaxed one. Then there's halloween suggestions! RE7 and RE8 are good games that are self contained, so you don't need to play every game to get up to speed for them. They're both fun and not too long I've also seen Costume Quest thrown around, that's actually a very cute game too! And last but not least... we're here to watch you play and have fun. You're good at games, the way you explore the games in a natural way is a bar that not many content creators clear, and your commentary is just a joy to watch. Sure, i can go and say that out of this list i'd love to see a dark souls 3 playthrough, but whatever you choose to do, i'll watch, because i watch to see how you play through a game, not for the specific game. Your playthrough of Silksong is amazing and it makes me sad that the number aren't representing it. Maybe now that it's out of spoiler territory for newer players it'll do better?

Chris

I think it’s more important for you to enjoy the content you’re making and the views & enjoyment will come with time. DS3 is much more loved than DS2 and the reception would be more loved. Only do this if you enjoy it though. If you’re feeling Soulslike maybe Wukong, it’s beautiful and not as difficult as Dark Souls. Could always go a different direction with Baldurs Gate 3 or Divinity Original Sin 2. They wont be massively popular but the stories and music are beautiful. Please just enjoy yourself and focus on what you want. YouTube/social media is just waaaay too toxic to even try!

blysk

I am sorry to hear that your videoes aren't performing well, but from what I hear that is universal to mostly everyone doing Silksong, there is a massive amount of competition for Silksong content right now. I think also a lot of people still avoid everything Silksong to not be spoiled. Dark Souls 3 is more like DS1 in many ways. I feel it focused more on bosses rather then exploration, and is also more linear then DS2. The general opinion seem to be that if someone enjoyed DS1 and not DS2, there is a good chance that one will enjoy DS3. In my opinion however, DS3 is far more difficult (especially the bosses) then the other games. I'd happily watch a DS3 series, but honestly, skipping DS3 and going straight to Elden Ring that is a far more polished and popular game, might be a good idea. The modern batman games (at least Arkham asymum and Arkham city) are really good games that might fit nicely with other games you've played. Lots of exploration, metroidvania-like progression, amazing settings and atmosphere, skill-based combat with a lot of tools to use and plenty of quirky characters to meet. (... Did I just describe Silksong?...) GTA, Minecraft and Cyberpunk.. I dunno if they would work too well. Minecraft let's plays are usually tedious unless the creator is INCREDIBLY talented in performing since the game really doesn't offer many emergent situations or built-in narrative for the player to hook onto. It might work for a short "reaction" series if you never played it. It might also be a nice chill game for streaming when I think about it, since it doesn't demand too much focus all the time. As for GTA and Cyberpunk... I just don't feel that they are the kind of games that I personally would be interested in watching you play, your style doesn't feel right for those games to me... But I would be happy to be proven wrong. :) Loving Witcher 3 does not guarantee liking Cyberpunk tho. I loved Witcher 3 and have played it through several times, but I found just about nothing to enjoy about Cyberpunk, that game is a fundamentally different experience. If you would like a couple of additional suggestions to consider; Both Dishonored games and Prey (2017) are amazing games about exploration and atmosphere that tick many of the same boxes of the games you've enjoyed on the channel before.

LooseSeal

Don’t think so glumly about Silksong not performing as well as HK. There’s 3 main reasons for that: 1. It’s pretty newish still and there’s several people that would watch a playthrough only after completing it themselves. 2. Hollow Knight simply has more fans than the sequel. Seen a lot of people that are just dropping the game because of the difficulty. (Not me though, I suffered to 100% lol) 3. There’s a lot of people doing playthroughs of it currently so there’s competition that your Hollow Knight videos didn’t have. As for what you should play next, I could not recommend Batman Arkham enough for you. It made me a true fan of Batman because they do everything right from the story to the world building to the gameplay. Plus it has a cult classic following, so it should boost views for your channel

Martin

I would vote for Batman (happens to be on sale on Steam right now) Shadow would be nice too, Cyberpunk is an amazing game, as people already point out, it is very big. Other suggestions could be Soma (horror, if your up for that again) The Longest Journey games Gris, beautiful game Guardians of the Galaxy Control Vampyr Death Stranding Mass Effect Tons of old classic point-and-click But really just a game you find interesting and are in mood for now that fall is imminent, old or new.

D̸a̶e̶d̴a̶l̸u̴s̵

I'm biased as its one of my favourite games by I think Cyberpunk would be a great choice. It can be a 40h game or a 100h game, its story and character driven with a great story and not obnoxiously hard like Silksong, which I stopped playing before completing Act 1! Also I think your insight and commentary would be really interesting for CP2077. I've watched 3 full playthroughs this year and never get tired of it.

G. Gringle

NOTE: Shadow of the Colossus fits well with your style. The pacing, the visuals, the music...but as others have mentioned, there's an emotional toll to consider. Just wanted to acknowledge that, in case it helps with your decision. It’s a stunning game, but yeah… it’s not light.

nromdotcom

I'd love to see Dark Souls 3, but yeah I'm not sure if I'd play it opposite Silk Song. I think the Arkham games could offer a good balance. Not as brutal as Dark Souls, not as directionless as Minecraft or GTA can be, not as sprawling as Cyberpunk.

Michelle

She's actually done that one already! I was mentioning it as an example of a short playthrough I enjoyed :) pretty sure you can find it in her playlists section if you're interested!

Nicanor Valdez

Dark Souls 3 would be great, but I get it! Two hard games back to back is rough.

agus

i get the silksong thoughts, but i think so many people are still playing it that you shouldn't worry too much. give it a couple of months! and if it doesn't end up performing too well, then that's sad, but it happens :( so sorry though! to be honest, my favourite options here are either dark souls 3 or shadow of the colossus. personally, i didn't find dark souls 3 very challenging aside from a couple of bosses, so i don't think it would be too hard on you, but i get the whole burnout with silksong and ds3 being more complex games (though, and i might be biased, ds3 is extremely enjoyable and the most fun out of the series - even more than bloodborne, which is my fav game ever!). shadow of the colossus is good, and you could do like a 2 part or 3 part series maybe? other games i'd love to watch you play: final fantasy vii rebirth (obvious reasons and i think it's more fun than the remake), baldurs gate 3 (a bit long but so cool and both comfy and challenging), silent hill f (new and very cool, not too difficult), death stranding (a bit long but definitely a change of pace), elden ring (extremely long, very frustrating, super fun), signalis, final fantasy xvi or no straight roads. in any case, i'll love to watch anything you put out!

Oldsurfer65

Cyberpunk over GTA5 for sure in terms of the tone of the channel. I actually resisted playing Cyberpunk because I didn’t think I would vibe with its dark tone but has become one of my favorite games, plus the Phantom Liberty DLC is amazing.

Oldsurfer65

Games other people have mentioned that struck a chord with me. Bioshock 1 Dishonored 1 & 2 Night in the Woods Sword of the Sea A few more that might resonate with you and the channel. Nier Automata Control Kena Bridge of Spirits Oxenfree 1 Gris Pacific Drive Journey Psychonauts 2

prince sidon

I think DS3 is definitely worth playing eventually but I would agree that its probably best to save it until after you've finished silksong and feel like playing something challenging like that again. I think minecraft sounds like a really cute idea especially since you could just pick it up and play it at your own pace and wouldn't have to worry about "finishing" the series. If you wanted to do something for the spooky season though I would definitely recommend either the silent hill 2 remake or the new game silent hill F since you seemed to enjoy the original silent hill games last year!

Oldsurfer65

Oh yeah! Prey would be a fun play through to watch!

TonyBadP5

Nier Automata, she had played before. And you are right, Kena could be great, with amazing music too.

Dorkenmore

Im happy to watch whatever you put out but I think that Batman is a good happy compromise. It's a cool game, but not brutally difficult, but also not overly long either.

Oldsurfer65

Cool, I will look for her Nier Automata vids

David Anderson

I would say, out of the choices you presented here, that Batman or shadow of the colossus are the ones to play. I was looking through your playlist on your YouTube channel and i noticed that you played God of war (2018) but not Ragnarök, you haven't played any of the more recent spider-man games. also, I'm giving you a friendly reminder however without any pressure at all to play it, but you started Alien isolation on nightmare and did not finish it. All this said, you know you better than most of us know you, so play the game that you wish to play. We'll watch you play anything, just make sure you're having fun.

TonyBadP5

Not sure they are on her channel anymore... I think they have been deleted a while ago :(

LooseSeal

May I suggest a couple more series that would do well on your channel? Alan Wake/Control series Bioshock Trilogy The Walking Dead Telltale series Mass Effect trilogy Not sure if you played any or all of these already, but they are definitely worth playing

Cary Miller

I vote for DS3 (I loved your DS2 content), Shadow of the Colossus or GTA5. :)

Jurjen Stellingwerff

I will not vote for a game but encourage you to trust yourself. Try things that interest you and stick with it if it resonates enough. The quality of your content will be high if you do so. There is no golden ticket out there, but you have some of the most interesting play-through's of youtube with your attention to details, stories and general knowledge of games.

Nonam

Hi! Disclaimer, I only joined your patreon yesterday after watching your undertale and deltarune vids. So I might be a bit biased. The two games I think everyone who appreciates a good story should play are Outer Wilds and Disco Elysium. I see you already have an Outer Wilds playthrough and have mentioned DE in the past! Of your list here the only one I've played that I would recommend giving a hard pass to is GTA 5. I don't dislike it but it doesn't seem up your alley. Some parts are funny, but there's a LOT that relies on pure shock value and unsubtle, hit-you-over-the-head satire. If you're considering a chill Minecraft playthrough, then you could maybe consider Terraria as well? It has a bit more structure to it. I've never watched a playthrough of either tbf. Dark Souls 3 is fairly grueling. I do love all fromsoft games and it's the most polished of the trilogy for sure. That said I don't know if you would enjoy it after Silksong or if it would attract a large audience.

dreamwreck

As someone who discovered your channel via your Hollow Knight play throughs, I’m still looking forward to your continued Silksong completion videos. In some of your videos I think you mentioned being a texture/environment artist on games. I think you’ve mentioned your critiques/admiration for various sections of games you’ve played. With that in mind, I’d love a video series where you share your artistic experience with games and what you notice in games you’ve played…. And maybe share some of your own art?

Thomas

I've only watched your Clair Obscur series so far and am making my way through your HK series now. One thing I've noticed about you is that you are very detail-oriented, like interesting design choices, and uncovering quite a bit of lore. Out of the games you listed here, I'd say Shadow of the Colossis and the Batman: Arkham series have qualities that would help accentuate things that make you, and your channel, unique.

Thomas

I wrote a different comment about the list, but I also wanted to suggest The Talos Principle series too. A puzzle game with lots of nuance and interesting lore to dig into.

I would like to see you play limbo …and inside …and bramble …and maybe little nightmares …yeah.

Ben

For a game that might help you feel less pressure, finishing Alien Isolation could give you some respite as I remember you saying you just wanted a playthrough of it on your channel and didn't mind how well it performed. The Uncharted games are surely a must! They've all been remastered and 2 thru 4 in particular are all masterpieces. Personally I'd love to see RDR2 finished too but I understand that it can be hard to make a playthrough series of a game that big. GTA5 probably falls into this category too. The Spiderman games are fun to play and fun to watch, even if you're not a Marvel fan. Astrobot also surely gotta be in for a shout, good clean fun, not too big.

She has an Outer Wilds playthrough! :-) Disco Elysium is a good shout though. 100% agree.

Nonam

Yeah, I uh, mentioned she has one lol Anyway fingers crossed for the disco

In your list I would love to see GTA5, Cyberpunk or Minecraft. I would also suggest taking a look at the little nightmare serie or Control. But in any case the best videos to watch will be the one where you enjoy the game so don't force yourself to play a game because it was requested more.

I’m late to the Patreon, but I thought I’d share my two cents anyways! I’d LOVE more Dark Souls! Take your time and play it whenever you feel like it though. Idk if you’d ever consider playing Blasphemous I/II, I recently discovered it and love it! It’s basically a pixel art Hollow Knight meets Dark Souls, I think you’d love it too. Thank you for all the videos, endlessly entertaining 🫶🏻
