Mimi's Newsletter - Autumn in Scotland (Patreon)

Hello lovelies,

I've been having a wonderful month soaking up autumn and all of its beautiful colours!

Dan and I went on a hike in Scotland on the West Highland Way and it was so lovely to get away from the computer for a week and reconnect with the outdoors. The scenery was stunning and the autumn trees were so vibrant - it was such a lovely little holiday to recharge and collect inspiration.

It was very cold though, especially at night camping!

Before we left on our hike I finished the first draft of my new art business class which took allll of September to make, and it's now available to watch in an early access version at a discount so if you've been thinking of joining the class then now is a great time.

It ended up being a 3 hour class because I included pretty much everything that I've learned about running an art business over the past three years!

The content is all finished but there are still a few improvements to make to the videos and workbook that I'll be updating in November.

I didn't get as much time to be creative while I was making the class because there was so much scripting and filming to be done, but since then I've been enjoying drawing autumn illustrations which are always so cosy and warm 🍂💖

I also bought myself a tiny sketchbook last week from a small art shop in Glasgow, because I think it'll be a nice place to draw quick, simple illustrations without any fuss or pressure. I haven't drawn anything in it yet but I'll be sure to show you when I do!

We've now moved on from Scotland to Northern Ireland where we'll spend a few weeks on the coast, but first we stopped in Belfast for a couple of days to explore the city. I had a lovely wander around the Ulster Museum's gallery - the impressionist paintings are always my favourite!
