Hello lovelies,

Last month I drew a tiny pumpkin house and loved it so much that this month I drew a tiny carrot house!

I think I'm going to have to draw a whole veggie patch of houses now 😄

Here is a little breakdown of how I drew this illustration and the base colour palette that I used (which I'll attach below if you'd like to use it in your own illustrations):

First, I drew a sketch to plan out my drawing. I knew that I wanted a character to be visible so I made sure there was a nice big window for them to lean out of.

Then I made my sketch layer about 30% opacity so that I would easily be able to see through it.

On new layers below I coloured in each element of my illustration, keeping most elements on their own layers.

Then I added lots of little details with a smaller brush.

With a broad texture brush, I gave everything a layer or two of texture - mostly with my Soft Crayon and Textured Pencil Light brushes.

Then I added shading, still using texture brushes so that the shading would be textured too.

And that's about it!

Somebody suggested that I draw a broccoli house next which I think would be really cute too! 💖
