Hello everyone,
Now that I've settled into my new house, I'm ready to spend the rest of the month learning about a new curriculum focus!
This month's focus is: exploring different poses and how they can create more interesting illustrations.
I explain the focus in more detail in the pdf guide that I've attached below 🌷
To help us explore this focus together, the art challenge for this month is to:
Design a character in a neutral pose (standing straight, looking forward), and then draw them again in an action pose - they can be doing anything!
A character's pose can change the mood of a scene, tell us about what action they’re doing, and make for a more visually interesting illustration 👏
I've made a Pinterest board with lots of pose ideas to help inspire us, click here!
For this month's challenge I’m planning to sketch a character on paper first, and then draw a digital version in an action pose in Procreate. I prefer drawing animals so I’ll draw an animal character in clothes (I find the clothes make it easier).
I'll be filming my process of completing this activity this week, and sharing the real-time process without voiceover with all tiers, and a tutorial version with voiceover with Beautiful Bluebells.
Download below your PDF guide with some more information and an introduction to the topic.
And feel free to share your illustrations with us in the community chat here on Patreon!
