Drawing Snapshot - Ghosts Browsing a Bookshop (Patreon)

Hello lovelies!

After having a really nice week away visiting family and friends I'm back home in Tasmania now and have gotten back into drawing, so I wanted to start with these little ghost friends browsing a bookshop. I'll be posting it to Instagram later today and wanted to give you a brief snapshot of the process.

The process went a little something like:

Draw a simple sketch to lay out the composition

Block in the base colour for each shape using the sketch as a guide (I set the sketch layer to about 20% opacity on multiply blend mode and then just hide it once I've coloured everything in)

Add broad textures and a couple of layers of shading to everything

Draw in finer details like the tablecloth and book ends

And that's how I created it!

I wonder what books they're shopping for? Personal development for ghosts? Recipes for ghost parties?
