Hello beautiful flowers!
It's been a few days since I've posted anything here because I had a really lovely long weekend in Launceston with Dan celebrating my 30th birthday! 🎉 Although it was forecast to rain we ended up with really beautiful weather the whole time which meant we could do lots of walking, exploring and picnicking.
We had a look around at the main art gallery where there was a butterfly exhibit and there is a really stunning gorge right in the city that we went for a jog to explore. We also met the friendliest ducks I've ever met and they were so sweet!
It was nice to be doing some city things (even though it's a very small city) since we live a little further out of town nowadays. Although I didn't do any work while we were away we did do lots of chatting about content ideas and things I want to draw soon so it was nice to be able to step away and brainstorm exciting ideas!
I've been wanting to make some more detailed courses for a while now but haven't made it a priority so I think making some in-depth video courses will definitely be high on the list for next year.
So I've entered a new decade now that I'm 30, and after spending a lot of my 20s wanting to make more art (and also make a business from it) I'm really excited to have started that journey properly now and can't wait to spend my 30s being an artist! I really don't think it's ever too late to start believing in yourself as an artist and it's also not too late to start building a business with your art if that's a direction you want to take it in.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend, I'll be starting the step-by-step guide this week, and also illustrating the character you helped me choose in last week's poll!
❤
