Mimi's Newsletter - Setting Up A New Shop! (Patreon)

Helloo my lovelies!

I've been flat out lately working on setting up a new shop which is super exciting but quite a lot of work so I thought I'd share some of that process with you!

I've wanted to sell physical products for suuch a long time but because I move around quite a bit and am keen to keep my work fully remote I've avoided having physical stock of my own, so I've been looking for a site where I can sell print on demand products.

The difficulty I've had in the past though is finding a site that's more environmentally friendly and also getting around to setting everything up (I've learned having my own business that I have to be patient because I can only set up one thing at a time 😅).

So at last I'm almost ready to launch a physical product shop with t-shirts and prints! I'm using Teemill because they're the most environmentally conscious option I could find and also they reached out to me and offered me a free upgrade to their Pro membership which was good timing.

I knew I wanted to sell shirts so I made a couple of new designs and also adapted some existing artwork, and then ordered a few samples of shirts and prints to check the quality.

I've been really happy with the quality of everything so then Dan and I organised to do a big photoshoot to photograph the products which took a couple of days to do, and then we needed to set up everything on a shop website which has also taken a few days to do!

It's quite a big job but it's coming together nicely and I'll be making a YouTube video about it this week and hopefully launching on Wednesday if all goes well 🤞 Plus, once it's set up it won't require too much maintenance so it's really just the upfront set-up time that takes the most energy.

Here is a sneak peek at some of my favourite photos! Although I'm not a model (at all) it was fun to build little scenes like a picnic and also it was a great excuse to buy lots of picnic snacks 🍰🍪🌷
