Mimi's Newsletter - A Few Days Off (With Lots of Animals) (Patreon)

Helloo my lovelies!

I took most of last week off which was probably a little overdue because it's been a very busy (but exciting) few months, and it was really nice to spend some time away from the computer.

We had Dan's Mum and sister staying with us for the week so we spent time with them and showed them around North West Tasmania which was really lovely, and we saw lots of animals!

We went for an easy walk in the mountains and saw some wild wombats (I almost walked into one!), and we also went to a beautiful garden with lots of flowering rhododendrons and blossoms, and then we went to a wildlife sanctuary to see kangaroos, quolls and Tasmanian devils.

At the wildlife sanctuary the kangaroos are free roam and you can buy a bag of food to feed them by hand and they're so friendly! Quite a few of them had baby joeys as well 😍

I've ended up with lots of inspiration, and I actually drew some of the flowers we saw into an illustration last week.

So it was great to spend a bit of time away from my usual workload, but now I'm back at my computer and excited to continue greating things! I've got a picture book that I'm working on, I would love to make some room next month to open portrait commissions again, and then it'll be getting close to Christmas so I want to plan for that a little bit.

I'd love to do my advent calendar in December again here on Patreon like I did last year, except this time I think I'll do 12 days instead of 24 because that was a lot 😅

I also think I might need to shuffle some things around with the benefits here on Patreon to simplify things for myself, but I'll have a think about it and let you know!
