Mimi's Brush Pack! (Patreon)

I've been trying to make a brush pack for longer than I'd like to admit but kept getting busy with other things or wanted to make my own textures or was trying to fix them being too slow but finally I have a pack that I like to use for my illustrations and it's almost ready to share with the world.

I'll be posting them for sale publicly some time in November so I expect I'll remove these testing brushes from Patreon on about the 8th of November to gives us time to test them out and finalise them.

I made them in Photoshop and have converted them to Procreate brushes but because the brush engines work a little differently they're not exactly the same, and I might still do a bit of fiddling around with the Procreate ones to improve them.

But while I do the last stages of getting these brushes ready to share I thought I would give you early access to them so that you can start testing them out!

I would love to know what you think, and please send me a message, email or leave a comment with your thoughts or let me know if you experience any issues at all. These brushes might not be the exact same ones that I release officially if I make tweaks to them so your feedback will be really helpful!

So I have a Photoshop brush pack and a Procreate brush pack, and both have the same 6 brushes (or pretty close to being the same), and you can download the pack that suits whatever drawing software you use.

I've made a video demonstration of the brushes in both programs so feel free to watch that if you'd like to see how I use these brushes!

The pack includes:

Mimi Clean and Simple

This is just a nice, simple brush that I use for sketching and colour blocking.

Mimi Scruffy Edge

This is another simple brush but with a rough edge to it for more textured shapes.

Mimi Marker Pen

This brush has a variable flow so the lighter you press with the stylus the more texture will show, and the harder you push the smoother and more filled in your stroke will be. 

Mimi Texture Medium

This brush has quite a lot of texture to it but the edges have a bit of definition so I like to use it for shading.

Mimi Texture Fill

This is similar to Texture Medium but broader and with softer edges so it's great for filling in large areas with texture.

Mimi Sprinkles

This one has a really speckled effect to it so I like to use it sparingly to add texture, mostly to areas of shading.

I've always only used a handful of brushes at a time so I've just included six in this pack because that's honestly mostly what I use for my style. I could have made more brushes for the pack but they wouldn't really be ones that I use myself so I decided against it, but let me know if you think it needs more and I'll consider adding some.
