Mimi's Arty Advent Calendar - Dec 15th! (Patreon)

*please note the advent calendar downloads were exclusive to December 2023 patrons. If you were a Patron in December and missed the downloads then send me a message 😊*Hello everyone, it's December 15th so I have another advent calendar gift for you!

I've made us a drawing prompt list and some colour palettes to help kickstart your festive drawing ideas (download the attachments below) ✨

Sometimes it helps to have a prompt as a starting point because even if you end up going in a different direction it can take the pressure off of coming up with something from scratch.

Festive drawing prompts:

Building a snowman together in the garden

Friends baking in festive sweaters

A Christmas stocking for a mouse

Rabbits sledding through the forest

A reindeer dressed up for a festive party

Putting up decorations as a family

The cutest Christmas village

I also wanted to share some colour palettes that I use, because finding colours can also be a bit tricky! The first palette is what I've been using for pretty much all of my winter illustrations this year, and the second one is a little more golden/orange (good for stars or gingerbread).

Download a pdf below with all the drawing prompts, and you can also download the palette as swatches for either Photoshop (the .aco file) or Procreate (the .swatches file). You should just be able to open the files directly from your downloads and have them automatically import into your software.

If you're on the Patreon app sometimes the downloads don't work but usually the browser version doesn't have any issues.

Enjoy! ✨💖
