Little to no fan service; wait for the next five chapters for it. It's tightly tied to the narrative, too.

This arc is our first glimpse at Lost Time, and it's a 3-chapter arc. Finally decided on how I'll split the arcs, each having its own theme and narrative message. I can't wait to deliver the next two chapters. The tonal shift in Book 3 absolutely got me stymied for a duration during development; it did make me learn to sequence and group scenes and events together in a more narratively profound way.

There's some heavy recap within the chapter, but I did my best to spin it so it doesn't get redundant with the revelation or try to give it a different POV from a certain character, so to those who know MTWY like the back of their hand, there's something in it still.Lots and lots of new characters and maps, both supporting and mundane—we can't really add more to the mains now, can we? WE ARE NOT ADDING MORE GIRLS TO THE HAREM... There's maybe one. One of my biggest gripes with AVNs is a barren setting, devoid of any other characters other than the main lead and the love interests, unless it's supposed to, like a Zombie Apocalypse trope, which I'm actually a sucker for. I believe that one of the main points of characterization and making the viewer grow attached to a cast member is the relationships that said character has in that setting. What made him/her turn out that way? What drove their motivation? The influence that external factors bring, other than the lead, IMO, is the biggest source of writing material for a character. So I try to bring the world alive as much as I possibly need and/or can.

Anyway, with the addition of the new cast is an addition to my worry, a worry that you perceive them in the way I intended. I was very anxious when I was starting this arc. Cutting back screentime on the beloved cast and making room for new ones isn't the easiest thing to do. But I believed I did it in a way that it wasn't forced, and that they added what they needed to as foils for the story, and the focus was still on the main characters and their growth.

Regarding the Narrative Animation and Images

So basically, this arc of Lost Time is being told from Akemi's Diary's POV, so I try to make it seem that way. You know me, I'm an advocate of the show-don't-tell philosophy, but in this case, it is completely warranted, and I can say it adds flair to the storytelling POV. Those in our Discord Server have seen those narration videos.

What's next?

I'm hoping to finish the next two chapters for this arc very quickly; a huge chunk of Chapter 29 was done: namely, Kyouko and Akiro's return, Hikari's nemesis, the legend of the hair braid, and the Sakagami family influence. After viewing the current chapter, you'll understand better the shuffle that I did. I won't give a date, but I'm really aiming for a quick release, albeit not a premature one. Chapters 29 and 30 are not as big as the previous chapters after all, for they were divided into two, with parts of 28 moved to 29. I'll start with the hard push for MTWY if I'm able to make Chapter 29 early.Do we need a walkthrough?

There are several interactions throughout the chapter, but no, not really. There's a part where you need to answer correctly, but there's a corresponding sound effect and render if you are incorrect, so there's that. I'll still update the current one, but there's no urgency.

Well, EO is a twat, he made us needlessly lose time, but then again, this is the first time we've tried the semi-narration style for MTWY. So as long as he does better on the subsequent chapters, I'll let him live. The dude is allergic to folders and specificity. News for Chapter 29

Still no title, my tentative title is Sakagami Shenanigans, but it doesn't actually match the theme. I'm also thinking of titling it Buridan's Akemi.Chapter 30 is titled Perfect Person, Horrible Time.

I'm working on Chapters 29-30 simultaneously, but only doing the rendering for Chapter 29, while leaving notes for the next few chapters after this arc. I said we are going on a spree, and I mean it, but it looks like making Chapters that are as long as the recent ones under a month is impossible. Maybe a couple of weeks extra, we'll see. Still, I've made incredible progress for the next 2 chapters, and the next three have been planned accordingly.
