You know what I've realized is really missing from my battlemap catalogue? Regular fantasy cities!

I've made Drow cities, had plans for Duergar strongholds too, and all sorts of unusual places, but somehow it's been a long time since I really focused on good old-fashioned fantasy towns.

And I think these are exactly the kind of evergreen maps that every DM needs. Something you can use in pretty much any campaign, on many different occasions.

So, time to fix that!

Here's a little sneak peek at what I'm currently working on. Still a lot of work ahead of me, but I think it's starting to look pretty good!

What do you think? Would you like to see more ordinary city locations in my catalogue?

Cheers!

Could we also get something absolutely bustling like Neverwinter too?

Sure thing! What you're seeing right now is just a very early blockout-basically figuring out where the buildings should go, how the streets should look, and the main market square around the statue. All the props, plants, animations, and everything else will be added too! I definitely want this place to feel like a proper bustling city!

I love that you're doing this, as straight-forward cities, towns, and villages with multiple areas are always in short supply at my table. The thought of having many areas/neighborhoods/POIs that all share a common theme, weather, and lighting options is extremely exciting. One thing I'd like to mention that seems to not be taken into account with most city/town area battlemaps: grid structures weren't so common. Houses, buildings, and streets being all on right angles has always kind of killed it for me. Medieval towns generally grew in haphazard ways/directions, and that's something that would be so welcome to see reflected.

Wow thank you! This is a very fair point about the medieval towns streets and building layout. I'm gonna adapt it to my maps
