I'm glad you're starting to enjoy the future story a bit more. I think for Kim, a big part of the reason she never came forward before was all the people involved (Gus, Mike, Lalo, etc) along with implicating Saul. Saul told her on the call that they were all dead, and that her confessing wouldn't really make much difference for him (with the events of Breaking Bad, Howard's situation is very minor compared to everything he's wanted for). Fun fact, the actor for Emilio has the largest gap between appearances of anyone in the Breaking Bad universe. His last appearance before this was in Breaking Bad Season 1 episode 2 (and I think only as a dead body in that one). This appearance was 14 years later. Also, Emilio is the one who Jesse told Walt about when bringing him to Saul (saying that Saul got Emilio off for something serious).
