Absolutely love this Episode, Yeah Up till this point Since Ahsoka's fight with Vader in Rebels she got pulled into the World Between worlds by Ezra to be saved then returned to where she was but that was also right after she learnt Anakin really was Vader and obviously had some sort of identity crises and then the next time she shows up was in the Mandalorian & now here where she's like you described not as happy. Obviously since then she'd been questioning everything Anakin taught her and fearing what knowledge he left in her, she wanted to be more than a soldier and now worried about her Legacy and what she can pass on and because of that obviously she had doubts or was fearful or just never fully in it when teaching Sabine which is most likely what led to the friction Between the two and Ahsoka quitting on her so easily. Then was forced to Confront that this Episode and learnt she doesn't have to keep Living in the past, but to keep fighting while more importantly to move forward and live her life "Live or die" was the lesson which has many meanings, she can accept that yes that was her past and her part in it and that Anakin did unfortunately go evil but that doesn't mean that will be her fate, it doesn't have to hold her back and define her, she can live her life for herself while forging her own legacy while accepting her past and having someone like Anakin as her former Master. Now there's definitely a noticeable change as she has a lot more levity plus smiling more haha, and hopefully also helps her or at least eases her mind to being a Better Mentor to Sabine in her own way.

a common critique about rosario’s portrayal up to this point was that she was too wooden, or stoic as you said. but i always thought that was intentional given how all of her live action appearances have taken place post rebels, after she learned what had become of anakin. she was worried that if all of who anakin was, was inside her, that ultimately she would become just like him, or she would pass it down to a student (that’s why she turned down training grogu in that mandalorian episode). she became much more reserved, more like the stereotypical jedi we know of from the prequels. she wasn’t really “living”, more like just existing, or getting by. the change in her personality at the end felt so rewarding to see. she’s much more carefree and free spirited like she once was. combined with the music which is absolutely stunning, some of the best i’ve heard in star wars. love this episode!
