Little Miss Sunshine please 🙏🏾

If Requiem wins….you need to prepare yourself . ⚠️ it’s a fantastic movie but it’s very disturbing.

Josip Buretić

Oh no I love couple of those movies!! I hope you will also sometimes watch the other movies from this poll. I give my vote to Little Miss Sunshine... But if Prisoners win I will not be mad!!

Hollywood70

Much obliged mate....or sheela Reckon I'm gonna vote that The Mysterious Case of Ol' Benjamin Buttons be in the fine print at the bottom...Nah, only messing about...Prisoners this go around.

Kim Cottingham

Thanks VIP. That was really cool of you

Kim Cottingham

Thanks VIP. That was really cool of you

dedknedy

Little Miss Sunshine. Lets go!

Hollywood70

Much obliged mate....or sheela!🍻 Reckon I'm gonna vote that The Mysterious Case of Ol' Benjamin Buttons be in the fine print at the bottom...Nah, only messing about...Prisoners this go around.

Rebecca Karsner

These are some of my favorites!! All of them made me feel a certain way after watching! And I wanted Asia and Bj to experience those feelings as well. 😁🫶

Hollywood70

Krikey....I repeated it somehow...Bugger...

Tek

Thank you VIP Member!!!

KimM

If you enjoy laughs, fun, slightly unconventional, a bit of sadness, and family love....go for Little Miss Sunshine! The ending won't disappoint too! Thanks VIP!

Rebecca Karsner

If you all haven't seen The Florida Project.. I highly recommend it.. one of the best movies about childhood I've ever seen.. the ending had me sobbing like a baby 😭😭 Lol Willem Dafoe is fantastic in it 👏

Joshua Coe

Seriously kind of them!

Freddie Miles

Thanks VIP, and for including Requiem for a Dream as an option!

Nicole

Prisoners is such a good movie

Jordan Jackson

Requiem is a disturbing movie for sick people. It’s grotesque shock v quality acting/writing.

Jordan Jackson

I’m secretly waiting for the Guardians of the Galaxy Trilogy :)

Rebecca Karsner

This movie is not for sick people. This movie should be shown to young people to scare them from using drugs. My sister is an addict and this movie hits differently for people for many different reasons. Ellen Burstyn gives one of the greatest performances I have ever seen in this. That alone is worth the watch.

Donna Bannister

Hey Rebecca🥰 I've never seen it but on your recommendation I will check it out.. and thankyouuu💯❤️

Rebecca Karsner

Hey Donna! OMG awesome! Just to give you some subtext about the film. It focuses on people living outside of Disney World in Florida.. where there's a lot of people living in motels and poverty and their struggles to get by.. told mostly from the point of view of children.. it is one of the most realest films I've ever seen!! You can throw me movie recommendations anytime as well!! 🥰🫶

Josip Buretić

I also didn't seen that movie but I will trust your recommendations and will watch this movie!

Rebecca Karsner

Aww much love!! I only talked about it because it doesn't look like anyone really voted for it which is sad.. I love independent films. This movie was made on a budget of 2 million and the story is very effective.. so beautifully shot too.. the colors in it really pop and I can't talk about this movie enough!! 🫶

Sapporo Dragon

I’m not familiar with any of these, but I highly recommend Only the Brave!🔥🚒👨🏻‍🚒

Choux D Bruxelles

I don't recognize any of those movies. They must be more recent. Hard to vote on any particular one.

Jason C

They all came out 2000-2013 with the only exception being Florida Project (2017). I think they're generally not too new, but the only one I've seen of these is Prisoners. It has Jake Gyllenhaal & Hugh Jackman.

Kevin

Cmon Prisoners!!!

Rebecca Karsner

If you want a great thriller - Prisoners If you want to see a poetic film based on a true story - Into the Wild If you want to see a hilarious dark comedy - Little Miss Sunshine If you want to see a disturbing film about the dangers of drug addiction- Requiem for a Dream And if you want to see an indie/drama about childhood and gorgeous cinematography - The Florida Project 😁😁

Darth Brooks

All solid choices, my top two came down to a coin flip. Into the Wild or Prisoners, it landed on Prisoners lol.

Rebecca Karsner

Thank you!! 😊 Yes it looks like Prisoners will win.. so I'm excited!! This was my list. I know some don't like it but I picked movies that truly made me feel some type of way after watching them.. they are all kind of special to me. 😁

Rebecca Karsner

Let me know if you have any movie recommendations.. if I haven't seen them I will check them out too... I love people who recommend films to me... those are good people 😁

Rebecca Karsner

If it doesn't win.. I will VIP request it before this year ends.. I Promise 😁 😁

Karim

I’ll be honest I never heard of any of them 😆

Nicole

Prisoners is really good

Darth Brooks

I can't say I've ever even heard of The Florida Project but all the others are great films. Requiem however would be one hell of a mind effer for Asia and BJ it's pretty wild lol.

Rebecca Karsner

Yea. Indie films don't get as much heavy marketing so they usually fly under the radar.. this movie did earn Willem Dafoe an Oscar nomination at the 2018 Oscars though 😁

Darth Brooks

I had just looked it up and seen Dafoe was in it and immediately added it to my watch list. He's such a phenomenal actor and his performance in The Lighthouse was fantastic. Speaking of Indies have you seen Suncoast? I just recently watched it and man oh man is it great movie!

Rebecca Karsner

I have not heard of it and immediately went to go watch the trailer. The cast alone sold me!! I love Woody Harrelson!! It looks like I'm going to have a very strong emotional reaction to this one!! I am going to watch it within the next few days!! Thanks for telling me about it!!

Danna

I ready for more horror and thriller movies.

Rebecca Karsner

Omg and yes The lighthouse is insanely great.. emphasis on the insanely lol! Willem is top notch!

Darth Brooks

You're welcome! Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson are so good in it and yes it does get very emotional.

Rebecca Karsner

I'll get the tissues ready before I watch it! 😥😥

Ren

Shoutout to the Ultimate VIP Member that gave up their personal guaranteed monthly request to the people 👌🏽♥️

Hollywood70

Rebecca....is the Sequel to Miss Little Sunshine called Miss Little Overcast?🤔

Pink Martini AZ

No one is voting for Into the Wild. I’m guessing most of your viewers must not have seen it? True story of a young man escaping his life to live off the grid in Alaska. Serious lessons learned. well done.

Pink Martini AZ

I have recommended this one too. Excellent flick.

Rebecca Karsner

Hopefully someday!! It's one of my favorites ❤️

Fonzwife

Would recommend the movie: 'What Dreams May Come'. It is a 1998 American fantasy drama film directed by Vincent Ward and adapted by Ronald Bass from the 1978 novel of the same name by Richard Matheson. Starring Robin Williams, Annabella Sciorra and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Josip Buretić

I have seen it and it is great movie.

Josip Buretić

Great list Rebecca!! I love prisoners, little miss sunshine, into the wild. The other two I didn't seen it.

Josip Buretić

I love "Split" but I bet you have already seen it. James McAvoy is awesome in this movie. "Insomnia" is another movie that I liked a lot. Great cast with Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Hilary Swank. "Parasite" great Korean movie... "No Way Out" great movie

Kung-Fubar

One of the reasons why it's so disturbing is because it is scarily accurate, aside from the arm scene. The patient is normally given a general anesthetic, not a local. But the progress and rapidity of addiction is shown with a clarity I have never seen in another movie.

Josip Buretić

"Insomnia" "No Way Out" "Parasite" "Split" Some of the movies that I would like to recommend

Michele G

I’m actually waiting for when my kids are old enough to watch it. Right now my oldest is 14 and I don’t think it’s appropriate but I do plan on showing it to them at some point, hopefully to scare the 💩 out of them so they’ll think twice about touching drugs. This movie is one of the reasons I never touched drugs. The decline of all of them is so sad and unfortunately it’s reality for a lot of people in this world. The acting in this movie is phenomenal. It’s just one of those movies that’s sticks with you forever.

Rebecca Karsner

👏👏👏 First time I watched this I was 16 or 17, and from that day I knew I'd never do any of that stuff. The irony in all this is when I was 22 I was at a party where I got something slipped in my drink and I almost lost my life from it. So please make sure to also teach your kids about the dangers of drugs being given to them unwillingly. People can be monsters. 😟

Rebecca Karsner

All great movies except I haven't seen No Way Out! I will check it out!

Rebecca Karsner

I feel like since they have done most of Tarantino, we will eventually see it on the channel. I wanted to pick movies that may not ever get a chance to be on here. The underdogs!! Lol

Josip Buretić

Thank you Rebecca!! Oh you definitely need to watch No Way Out!! Trust me you will not be disappointed

Josip Buretić

And please let me know your thoughts afterwards

shawtz2312

Movie recommendations; the rest of Tarantino being The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, then also Zodiac, Elvis, Silver Linings Playbook, Hot Fuzz

Patty Estrada

It’s not letting me vote but I choose ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ but ‘Requiem for A Dream’ is a trip so definitely also watch it.

Amy Reis

none of the above

Pink Martini AZ

No Way Out is an excellent film. Good story. Good acting. The Cold War. And a young Kevin Costner in his prime.

James

Split and the Florida project both great movies i think you guys would enjoy.

HipCat57

the Outlaw Jose Wales

Stephen Blair

one of my faves.. I don't think I've ever watched such a heart wrenching, emotion inducing, thought provoking movie.
