Awesome!!!!! Darth is going to be super excited for this one!!!!

Kim Cottingham

I agree. Oh no. Best friend lived out in the boonies in Louisiana and across her road was a pet cemetery. Creepy as f**k

Darth Brooks

There it is! Enjoy the movie that terrified me as a child. Holds up to this day such a King classic. I'll be diving in AFTER I take a nap 😂 have a great Sunday (already?) everyone✌❤ fam!

Eamonn Locke

Yes! Been waiting for this one!

ALYSSA RIVERA

AWESOME!!!!!! Been waiting fir this reaction 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Freddie Miles

LOL, I wasn't expecting this one - but I love it!

PIG

Yes. Yes!

Eamonn Locke

BTW, Awesome shirts! "Trick 'r Treat" is a great anthology movie. Perfect for Halloween.

Matthew Beilewech

Never seen this one. Heard it's a classic. That's why I like Asia & BJ's patreon. It allows access to movies I'd probably not watch on my own.

Deborah Lewis

Omg YES, my daughters all time fav since she was 7..lol, she's almost 30, we're a horror genre fam🫣😘

Monica F Vieyra-Sandgren

It has been 35 years and I am now going to try and watch this movie with y'all. I've got chills and hair standing up just to press play. If you cannot tell this movie really f***ed a lot of us up. Ok here it goes (gulp) I guess my interest in watching y'all lose it is stronger than my fear (muahahaha)........ OK THOSE OPENING SCENES Y'ALL CREATED GOT ME. Had to pause and breathe.....

Nicole Sherlock

I’m too much of a scaredy cat for your October choices 😂 see y’all in November 🤣😅

Dana

Oh my gosh, how fun is this gonna be... another 80's classic. Yay! Thanks Asia & BJ!

Joey

I’m sitting this one out. It was my 13th birthday slumber party and we watched this. Couldn’t get into bed for years without leaping onto it 😆

Michele G

That’s funny !!! It was my favorite movie as a kid ! You and my best friend would get along great 😂 I forced Her to go see “Seven” when it came out. I told her it was a Romantic comedy….she still brings that up to this day 😂😂

Michele G

I love this movie !!!!!!! Let’s go !!!! 🥳🥳🥳 🐈‍⬛ ☠️ 🪦

Donna Bannister

Sssshhhh... sneaking in to have a Peek-a-Boo 👀🫣👀🫣

Renee S

Why did I have this strange feeling that this one was going to be on your Spooky Season list for this year, lol. Just saw another of my favorite reactors do it this week, let's see how you guys like it :)

JBGirlNextDoor

I love animals I've always been to afraid to watch this lol I guess there's no better place to give it a shot! 💀🐶

KimM

It's been a long time since I saw this movie. I used to like walking through old cemeteries to see the old tombstones, so historical and some so old you can barely read the writing....BUT after I first saw this movie, I grew very reluctant as I was now more afraid of seeing animals than humans rising from the grave!!! 😱😨 Looking forward to watching this classic with you after dark!!

Dana

Stephen King played the minister at Norma Crandall's funeral.

Skip

Yoooo Asia, thats not a regular old halloween shirt. Trick r Treat is a scary movie and that kid with the hood on is the scariest part!!

Deborah Lewis

We had a Church look alike; rip Holly, all our friends and fam always called her Church...as it said" sometimes death is better"Amen🫣

Deborah Lewis

No, the reason was because who'd wanna live on a highway with pets and/or kids....anyone my age loves Herman Muenster, Judd only tried to help, he wasn't evil except shouldn't of took him to Indian burial site👿

Rebecca Karsner

Just started watching!!! OMG I love the T-shirts!!! Both horror icons!!! 🫶 I don't remember too much of this movie!! Let's see how this goes!!! 😁 Asia your shirt is a movie called Trick r Treat and that character is Sam!! Definitely a good Halloween movie to check out sometime.. if not this year then maybe next. 😁😁

Casey Salley

Can’t wait to watch later! I really hope you guys can watch Beetlejuice! It’s a true Halloween classic!

Michele G

We are too ! My daughter loves this movie !

Michele G

Judd was a good guy. The evil that surrounds that place makes people do things they wouldn’t normally do. The book goes into more depth about the power and the evil that surrounds it. But Judd was a good guy, or at least had good intentions, or thought he had good intentions

J.R. Mahan

You might be reading a little too much into Judd's part. He introduced the Dr to the evil, but I don't think he was trying to wrong him.

Karim

I still cringe watching Gage cut Herman Munster’s Achilles tendon. Awful!

Jesse McAdams

Of course Judd knew. He explained what happened with his dog and the person. He also explained why he told him to bring Church back. He did NOT kill Church.

Shenita

Hi Asia and BJ You guys really should check out the 1990 movie The witches with Angelica Houston it is awesome it's one of my faves I guarantee you'll love it 🤩

Andreas

Thanks for that, its a long time ago i have seen this great movie. But what really freaks me out is BJ's shirt, because every time he moves it looks like Freddy looks to me😨 Love from germany 🥰

Dan Gonya

My Tennessee cousins had a dog named BigHead and a cat named Rover. 😂

Ashleigh

One of my favorite horror films 🎥 I remember watching this as a kid. Another great classic.

Dan Gonya

The people in this movie don't feel like real people. I don't really know how to explain it. They're all just... weird. I mean, why wouldn't the first thing you do be fencing in that yard while petitioning city council for speed bumps or something; laws against trucks speeding through residential areas? Dumbest parents ever! The more you dwell on the setting, the less this movie holds together. 🤔 Also I just noticed Stephen King as the minister at the funeral. Nice cameo.

Dan Gonya

I'm not entirely sure that the little girl actress is fantastic or not, but every other actor in this is atrocious...with the possible exception of Fred Gwynne, but even he sounds nuts.

Raider Ron

Judd was played by Fred Gwynn who played Herman Munster and the judge in My Cousin Vinny.

Dan Gonya

My interpretation of the movie was that Judd just wanted the little girl to not lose her cat, and thats where he wanted to leave it. Everything else was the father being crazy and not being able to handle death....and them being stupid as I said in my other comment.

Dan Gershgol

Glad you got around to this. Good reaction.

Leah B

So I am new to your club here, and it wouldn’t let me vote on the above list. So out of those I would pick the sequels to Lethal Weapon, Rocky, Rush Hour, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Now I’ll suggest a few more not on the list, as I’m not sure where I’m supposed to make suggestions. Maybe someone can guide me. Anyway here’s a few great ones: Secondhand Lions with Robert Duvall (action-drama), The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock (true story about sports), Machine Gun Preacher with Gerard Butler (true action-drama), New In Town with Harry Connick Jr (comedy romance), 8 Seconds with Luke Perry (true romance sports), PS I Love You with Hillary Swank (Romance), 13 Hours with John Krasinski (true action), how about the cult movie Billy Jack with Tom McLaughlin (action-drama), Secretariat with Diane Lane (true sports), Scarface with Al Pacino (action-drama loosely taken from true events), Pay It Forward with Helen Hunt (drama), The Seventh Sign with Demi Moore (scary-drama, AND THEN maybe for scary October: Case 39 with Renee Zellweger, The Changling with George C Scott, What Lies Beneath with Harrison Ford, Dead Zone from 1983 with Christopher Walken, and The Conjuring 2013 (based on true events) and it has 2 sequels. Of course Pet Cemetery is a great classic scary movie. Oh and as far as series, are you guys going to react to Yellowstone series, or maybe The Shield Series?

Renee

The parents in this movie are horrible First of all why get a house on a main road with kids or put a damn fence up watch your damn kid dont have a picnic near a main road The mom is just heartless with her sister And keep the cat inside

Monique Chavis

Love this reaction to this movie but you guys should reaction to this movie call The Blackening 2023 it's a horror/comedy movie

Stacey

Loving the decorations and the shirts. Freddy is my favorite. He's got "dad jokes." 🤭 Hope to see a reaction to Nightmare on Elm St 3 this Scaretober. It's one of the most popular in the franchise.

Stacey

Yesss!!!!

Stacey

I'm a big animal lover/nurturer too. I read the book, then the movie can out, so I know what I was in for. How did you fare watching it? What do you think?

Stacey

😆 Did you watch?

Stacey

🤣🤣🤣 romantic... well... that part wasn't entirely untrue

Stacey

Awwww... hugs 👐 ... thanks for being sweet about it. I know Spooktober isn't for everyone.

Stacey

😅 How did you fare watching?

Stacey

Same in my family with the women. The men, not so much. My father would leave the room gagging sometimes. 😅

Stacey

I immediately thought about you when I got the notification for this reaction. 🙌 Cheers!

Stacey

🥰 My 1st thought too.

Stacey

I'll try to refrain from any book spoilers for those who want to read it, which I recommend. This movie follows the book pretty closely, but obviously they can't put in every aspect due to limited running time to wrap everything up in under 2 hours. Casting: this is one of the few times where I watched a movie and the actors were very similar to how I imagined them while reading the book. The acting by the children and Fred Gwynn were the highlights for me. Fred was actually too young in real life compared to the book character Jud, so they dyed his hair white. The little boy who played Gage wasn't even 3 years old, crazy huh?!? The book does a better job of developing the Crandall characters, and their relationship with the Creeds. Jud was a compassionate, empathetic man who was very fatherly. The reason he wanted to help with the cat Church is because the Dr saved his wife from a heart attack, and Jud wanted to repay him. Jud also was very fond of the children. Pascow's ghost was sent to warn Louis, which is detailed more in the book. The movie relies on the character for more of a creep factor, IMO. He does end up warning the Creeds, but the daughter mostly takes on this role in the movie with relating her premonitions. The ending... just like The Mist, King tends to leave his stories somewhat open ended. He wrote the screenplay for this movie, and the director had an alternate ending that she thought would be better, less expected. Both endings were filmed and shown to a test audience. The director's version is the one we see in the movie. I personally enjoyed but endings. In general, the storyline themes are all about mortality and grief. I would have preferred to see more about the Timmy character in the movie as opposed to the information about Rachel's sister, but Rachel's prior history with death does add to the overall feel King is impressing on us with her grief, and grief in general. It shows the acceptance/ownership stage of grief being the most difficult. The characters are between the bargaining and acceptance stages, and King shows us a negative outcome of what happens when those stages are interrupted... along with the ending moral of "don't play God." 😉

Stacey

Another fun bit of trivia, Stephen King is a big fan of the punk band The Ramones. They wrote the song Pet Sematary for the movie and it became a hit song for them. There's an interesting story about how it all came together, but can't remember the details anymore. I think someone in The Ramones recommended the director to King.

KaptainKrunch

I agree with the fence i said the same. that should have been the 1st thing i would have done, but if they did that there will be no movie. lol, so i guess we looking too much into it.

Donna Bannister

Well I sortakinda "tried" 🫣🫣 but NO!! not really sissy😂 ❤️

David Croft-Ogawa

Awesome reactions!! Loved watching y’all jump. Did you notice that the old fella was the judge in My Cousin Vinny?

Rebecca Karsner

I remembered zero from this movie but I really loved it! The dad pissed me off at the end though.. like didn't you learn your lesson?? Omg poor Gage!! The first time he almost got hit I was so relieved and then when it was about to happen again I was like ru kidding me?? 😭 I have seen that child actor (Gage) on episodes of Full House. He was Michelle's friend lol. I did spot the Stephen King cameo as the Priest. He's pretty hard to miss lol. But this was really good. Some really beautiful shots too when they were up on the mountain. I'm a sucker for a beautiful looking sky lol So glad I got to finally see this!! Have you seen the others? Are they worth watching?

JBGirlNextDoor

Well once I started watching it I remembered I actually had seen parts of it before. I couldn't make it all the way through I just don't like that feeling of being scared even though I'll probably always try to make it through these😀 I can watch stuff like the skeleton key that's about my limit lol

Darth Brooks

The 83 novel I would highly recommend as the movie although true to it leaves a lot out. The sequel however is just.. okay but it has it's moments and stars Clancy Brown and Edward Furlong worth a watch. The reboot of the 1st film in 2019 I would say is really solid, it takes a few liberties and twists the story a bit. So don't expect a 1:1 copy it'll throw you curve balls and the kid that plays Gage is eerily similar to Miko Hughes it's definitely worth watching. The 2023 film Bloodlines is pretty damn bad, like SyFy channel horror bad but if you want to say I've seen them all then you must suffer through it like all the other terrible sequels to horror franchises lol.

HipCat57

He was also Herman Munster in the show The Munsters

KarmaCollar

The guy who plays Dexter narrated this audiobook (and possibly The Shining, too) and made super creepy. He did a great job

Michele G

Me and my sister and mom love scary movies!!! lol my dad would say “something is wrong with y’all !!” And just walk away 😂

Coolio

Y'all literally seen Gage attack her lolof course she didn't do it to herself

Saints_Madness

yup that brings up memories. One of my Uncles grabbed me and pushed my head towards the TV only to terrify me even more. He would just laugh and let me go while I would retreat behind the couch and peek over to finish it. Good times

SixEight Guy

Y'all are reading too much into it. Jud Crandall wasn't an evil man. He was a kind, loving man. He did what he did with Church out of love for Ellie and not wanting her to be heartbroken. Yes, he remembered his own dog, and the man that someone took up there, but he thought maybe it wouldn't happen again. That's why he gave Louis Creed that warning after Gage passed away. After the cat, he released that it was still no good. He was no more evil than Pascow. They were both warning Louis.

David Croft-Ogawa

I was a little kid when the Munsters aired. I loved the show! Grandpa was my favorite.

Anthony Turner

Pet Sematary still one of my favorites. As a kid it scared me but I was able to watch it still.

Anthony Turner

Most likely Gage killed the Rachel .But remember, it's not Gage, as the old man said, whatever is in that ground isn't human. As he said, the indians knew it, that's why they stopped using that cemetery. No Gage himself didn't kill his mother, whatever possessed his body did.

William Rice

Also it looks like Stephen King is the preacher at the funeral. Maybe?

Michael King

It was still Gage. He wasn’t possessed. They don’t get possessed, they just come back “wrong”. What’s dead, is dead.

Matt Dever

I hope you don't go through another Halloween without watching one of Stephen King's greatest movies, "Children of the Corn." 😉😉 (hint hint)

Matt Dever

Oh, and another interesting tale. My sister named my nephew Gage because of this movie.

Rowan Figueroa

That one, right there. Nope. This is the ONLY movie that's in the horror genre that creeps me out. Those f'n COC's. That lead kid was freaky as hell. I think horror movies are funny, my fave being The Exorcist with the cross scene. IYKYK.
