I love this movie!! Can't wait to watch after work! 😁

Josip Buretić

I watched this movie back in the day and I liked it very much. Looking forward to watch it again with you guys

Dan Gershgol

Love this movie. Cant wait to see your reaction later. Will watch tonight.

Collin Palmer

Underrated movie. Scared the crap outta me first time I seen it.

Mami's Gatos

Which membership teir let's you suggest stuff?

Skip

a lot of older taller buildings, especially in NY, think its bad luck to have a 13th floor so the numbers go from 12 to 14

Jay Rivera

Always loved this one and as I got older found out the connection between the dolphin hotel and the overlook. Same universe so makes sense. This was a banger guys. Thanks for making Halloween really fun this year and staying consistent with good picks. Lastly I’ll say it’s so fun to watch it a second time knowing what happens because the John gives that performance that is just as naive as someone asking whose there when a knock comes to your door at night. It becomes even more naive and fun the second go round because your like oh boy your in for it. In closing thank you 🙏🏼

Jay Rivera

You guys should do “Doctor Sleep” if we’re talking staying the course of “The shining” btw and don’t be afraid to hit that directors cut I know it’s long but it’s a great flick. Mike Flanagan.

Dan Gonya

I'm interested to see what you guys think of this one. ☺️

Youjest

Nice 👍

Deborah Lewis

Fyi: most all high rise buildings Don't have a 13th floor( superstition)😉

Dan Gonya

Oh I don't think I've seen the director's cut. I'm excited!

Trish Belshe

OMG I love this movie. I can’t wait to see it with y’all tonight.

Darth Brooks

“My hotel doesn't have a 13th Floor because of superstition, but c'mon man... People on the 14th floor, you know what floor you're really on. "What room are you in?" "1408". "No, you're not. Jump out of window, you'll die earlier!" -Mitch Hedberg I think of that joke everytime I'm on the upper floors at work lol. Great pick for tonight I have something to look forward to watching when I get home. Have a great day everyone✌❤ fam!

Ana

That was especially cruel to have his daughter turn into cremains in his arms. It struck me though... modern cremation isn't going to have straight up bones in it. They're like a heavy sand... cremains are hard to describe but yer not gonna see like a FEMUR in it. But when the room did that to the daughter, it didn't even have the decency to do the cremains right. It's more upsetting to see actual bones, instead of the cremains that we're used to in modern times. It kind of reminded me of what happened to Claudia in Interview with the Vampire, when Louis touches her, she falls apart. That's like an extra bit of cruelty. It was fun to watch this with you guys, thanks for the great content! It's really good. Oh yeah, Stephen King is prolific. You should check out the interviews he did (search youtube) he's got like an almost childlike mischievousness about him. And he's got this thing about numbers. I don't know if it's a superstition or some kind of OCD but yeah, he's got it. Also, I think I heard that he would be writing at his keyboard at the same time doing cocaine! He'd stop to wipe the blood from his nose and continue writing! So I mean, if that rumor is at all true, it might explain how he can write so much.

Rebecca Karsner

OMG I freaking love Mitch Hedberg!! He was hilarious 😂 RIP 🙏

Darth Brooks

He really was and his style was just different then anything at the time.

Rebecca Karsner

Yes!! And we still never got fajita cologne lmao 🤣

Darth Brooks

😂😂😂 I still can't find the proper club to join so I can enjoy a club sandwich. They have frilly toothpicks I'm for 'em!

Dan Gonya

Wow, the director's cut is a completely different movie. 😬

Awilda Luciano

Not BJ trying to take the blanket…lol. Great Reaction guys 😊

Deborah Lewis

More John Cusack please..."Idenity"

Bandit Griggs

Omg. One of my favorite movies! So glad you guys decided to do this one!

Michele G

I’ve never been in a tall building or hotel with a floor 13. To my knowledge there are NO floor 13’s. And I’ve been in a LOT of hotels. It’s supposed to be bad luck !

Michele G

I LOVE scary movies but this one always f’ed with my mind. It’s like a living nightmare you can not wake from ! It really messes with me 😂🫣

Michele G

I’ve only seen this movie maybe 2 times. What was the difference bc I didn’t notice one

Stacey

Agree 👍 hope we see more reactions with him.

Michele G

I think it’s their highest tier. VIP I believe. It’s on their home page if you go to memberships. It lists all the tiers

Stacey

Love Mike Flanagan!

Deborah Lewis

This movie msg reminds me of the Shining( feeds on personal demons, pain, trauma)😉🫣😘

Deborah Lewis

I hear ya Bj; when we lived in Ma...wanted to spend night for my bday at Lizzie Bordens house; my scared ass husband and teenage daughter was like" Hell No"🤣🤣

Stacey

So the director's cut has a different ending from the movie that was released in the theater. There are supposed to be 2 other alternate endings, but I haven't seen them. The cool thing about Stephen King is that there is always an underlying theme and inspiration behind his stories. The man is freakishly clever. This one wasn't obvious for me. I read once that Mike actually died when he was surfing and that 1408 is purgatory/the nine circles of hell. There's a decent video on YT, 1408: The Philosophical Depths That Horror Can Reach, that explains it. Also, King took inspiration to write the story from a paranormal investigation of room 3502 at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.

Kim Cottingham

This was good for 30 min them was so dumb after to me. Just don’t get why everyone was excited for this!

Davey11

Sinister, please🙏

Heather

This really is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT movie than the theatre version and honestly, I liked the theatre version better. Wish you could have watched that version.

LynnC

So the concierge (Samuel Jackson) told the wife he did not die in vain because the room won't open back up. So how did he get the personal effects??

Dan Gershgol

I like the original ending better. You should watch the alternate ending to this one. I feel you would prefer it.

Sean Zaccheo

This isn’t the original released version, which I personally thought was a better ending. You can watch the original ending and I guess there’s also another alternate ending as well on YouTube. Definitely worth checking out!

Neon_ninja

The Illusionist with Edward Norton, or Lord of Illusions with Scott Bakula.

Tim Martin

Yeah, this wasn’t quite the ending I remembered. Definitely take everyone’s advice and check out that version when you have time. Great reaction, as usual , my friends!!

Tim Martin

I believe he said while they were cleaning up the room after the fire, they found them.

Tim Martin

They can “skip” floor 13, but structurally speaking floor 14 IS floor 13. So he was really in room 1308 FWIW. So me, personally, I’d request a room on floor 12 or below OR floor 15 or above…just to be sure 😂

Carol Rocha

Yall! MEET JOE BLACK is included with Prime this month!! Yall should really watch it!

Anthony

Please watch THE OTHERS, Asia and BJ

Jay Carter

I love this movie thank you! Please don't forget about the American pie reunion

Joshua Coe

Thank you!! This was one of my recommendations!!

Karim

There’s 4 endings to this film. And I hope Event Horizon is on your horror list too.

Saints_Madness

i remember seeing this a long time ago and now i remember why i never bought it. a Bit cheesy but if it appeals to you all then it was a good watch. Another decent one is, In the Mouth of Madness. Oh and don't go searching for ghost, shouldn't the conjuring be enough warning to stay clear of dark entities? The fruit is rotted and the juice is not worth the squeeze. It might follow you back home.

Andreas

Great movie, great reaction, great couple and a great fam. But the best thing was BJ with the blanket😉 Now i saw everything😁 I know that i'm anoying but please show this month " Conjuring 3 and Evil dead remake 2013" LOVE FROM GERMANY 🥰 Oh and Asia say "What the FUCK" Not oh shit or that scared the crap out of me🤪 that was a awesome evening 😁

GenericStatue

In the hotel business it's pretty common to not have a "13th floor". It's a superstition.

Elizabeth DeMerie

There is never a 13th floor in a hotel lol, everyone thinks it is a unlucky number.....I however am born on the 13th and I Know it is a great number lol

Elizabeth DeMerie

Also I used to be an avid reader Stephen King being my favorite....his novels are far more messed up then any movie adaptation I have ever seen! Lol

Tressandra Stewart

The look of absolute horror on Asia face when that man was crawling in them vents lmaoooooooooo I felt so bad for her! "I said sis getting ready to pass out - B.J. help her!!!!!!!!!" LOL

Stacey

Yes! I have my fingers crossed for Conjuring 3 too. 🤞

Stacey

Good one 👍

David Croft-Ogawa

You guys, that so much fun watching this movie with you. Miss Asia I really enjoyed your reactions, and your eyes are so expressive! Whenever you’re ready to do another Stephen King story, I support the many requests I’ve seen for Doctor Sleep.

David Croft-Ogawa

In an interview I saw of Stephen King, the interviewer asked him what he thought was necessary to be a good writer. SK replied, (and I’m paraphrasing) “In order to be a good writer, you need the heart of a young boy… and so I have one in a jar on my desk.” 😂

Lacy Isenburg

Love the string of King flicks! He's my fave! I definitely concur with others who have suggested Doctor Sleep!!

Skip

Hey Rebecca if you arent already you should follow catch-up packets on here. Super nice guys, really good reactions, relatively new channel and your positive mojo never did anyone any harm!

Rebecca Karsner

I actually did follow them at one point.. did a paid request for The Gift (2000) I will definitely go back.. I was waiting for them to get back to Yellowjackets. Last I checked they didn't yet lol

Anthony

They won’t select it, though

Anthony

Yes. Me, too. Very under-the-radar movie

Dan Gonya

yet another case where a comedian or artist is taken from us far too early due to drug use. His comedy was very much based in that Steven Wright rapid fire one liner deadpan style, but his ability to find the hilarity in the mundane was truly remarkable.

Dan Gonya

well, in the theatrical release, we have less running around airducts, there wasn't a scene with his father at the nursing home, and he survived the fire. He ends up pulling out the tape recorder and playing it for his wife, and they can hear Katie's voice and they are left dumbstruck. There might have been a couple other parts here and there that were added, but those were the big changes as far as I can recall.

Rebecca Karsner

I first discovered him from the movie Lords of Dogtown because he looked so familiar.

Dan Gonya

Interesting. I grew up watching Comedy Central Presents so that was the first place I saw him. He also had a bit part in That 70s Show.

Grigsy

There are multiple endings to this film. This was the first time I saw this ending.

Ana

Yeah what is kinda endearing about him is that, for someone who writes horror, he's actually funny.

Ana

I miss Mitch. @Asia and BJ if you guys don't know Mitch Hedberg, you should!

Keyuana Gray

This was cool to see but definitely liked the original ending better. You guys should check out What lies beneath

KarenMcQueeney

Not in hospitals either. The last time I was in a hospital I looked.

KarenMcQueeney

This was the craziest movie I’ve ever seen and it was so good!
