Since Martin Lawrence is in this, Blue Streak is another great comedy/thriller about cops. Dave Chappelle was absolutely hilarious in this movie.

Since you brought up the song in your intro: The theme to M.A.S.H. is called "Suicide is Painless". It was written, with lyrics, as the main theme for the 1970 "M.A.S.H." movie. Robert Altman directed the movie and let his 15y/o son write the lyrics to the song. Apparently, Altman made $70,000 for directing the movie while his son made over $1 million for writing the lyrics to the song. The song's title is about the faux-suicide of one of the characters, Walter "Painless Pole" Waldowski. Although it is melancholy and about a serious subject, Altman wanted it to be the "stupidest song ever written"

I've seen this movie so many times, I know most of the lines lol. Yall are going to love the 2nd one. I'm so glad u did this movie. It's one of my favorites. The best action comedy movie to me. Also, Martin and Will is one of the best comedy duos.

The casting of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, who at that time were best known for their popular sitcoms Martin and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air respectively, ended up making this movie much, much more entertaining than originally envisioned. The movie was initially pitched as a rather run-of-the-mill action flick, intended to feature classic action stars like Stallone, and the original script looks rather bland in comparison to this show. Martin and Will improvised quite a lot of their dialogues here.
