Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke

Comments

JL Green

Back in the day, they were considered the modern day version Abbott and Costello or Three Stooges.

Kevin Landon

lol, it didn't take you long to get to this one after mentioning it in Desperado. You know, I have never seen any of their movies, I may just have to do this one with you :)

Vigorous Strongs

ASIA and BJ, FINALLY you watched CHEECH & CHONG!!! You made me happy. Thank you.

Kim Cottingham

People loved this back then. I didn't get to watch it til the 80s but is funny.

Kim Cottingham

You are so right. They really were!!

Claudette

Asia: What's a muff diver? BJ: I will explain when we get off camera. I can show you better than I can tell you 😂😂😂

Kim Cottingham

Jon Jon

They were comedians before they started doing movies and one of their albums Big Bambu came with a giant zigzag

CALIXYUKON

Dustin

Mister Lou

so that Is where he gets his name from, huh? lol

Andi Szilagyi

Oh my god you guys... I am dying and I haven't even watched this yet. So looking forward to it.

Lee Graham

A true classic! Saw it in 1980 on one of those scrambled cable channels (old fogies like we remember). :-)

James Lewis

My cousin and I saw it at a Drive-in when it came out in 1978 (I'll be 70 this year), and believe me, we participated in the festivities. We laughed so hard that tears ran down our faces!

Greg In East TN

"Don't fake the funk" I'm writing that down. What a great saying! If you want to hear some real funk, check out George Duke, one of the greatest keyboardists of all time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSRaUi98E_4 The Mexican is Cheech. The other is Chong. Strother Martin (Chong's Father) was a great actor. You should check him and Paul Newman out Cool Hand Luke or Slapshot. They're great movies! The theme song for the movie was Low Rider by War. BJ, you da man with your sayings! MUF DVR: "I can show you better than I can tell you. " ROFL Ruben and the Jets was an homage to Frank Zappa. You should listen to some of their old comedy on youtube. A lot of their routines are incorporated into the movie. This movie is so old, you should check out the cast to see who all you probably didn't recognize. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078446/fullcredits/?ref_=tt_ov_ql_1

MiM

The only thing I remember from this movie is the part where the guy accidently swallows the little piece of joint 😂

Matthew Stewart

Hey BJ this is regarding Don't Be a Menace reaction (great reaction by the way). Just a preference but would like to point out that if you don't know 100% what country from Asia someone is from it's better just to call them Asian not Chinese (not speaking for every Asian out there just my preference). Maybe the kid was Chinese but even I have a hard time knowing where every Asian is from so I just say Asian lol. I know Chinese is the common assumption of Asian people but when I was younger in grade school I would always get called Chinese which I'm really Korean and it kind of bothered me. Maybe it's a trigger I have when I was younger but just a preference BJ no disrespect. I enjoy all your guys reactions!

David Croft-Ogawa

So now we have to watch “Dude, where’s my car?” and “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure!”

JBGirlNextDoor

Oh my gosh I don't know the last time I watched this this was hilarious to watch with you guys 😂 cheech is the one whose car has the fur in it thanks for the laugh!!

Rashad Walker

A few movies suggestions A time to kill Crimson tide The firm Malcolm X

rtt143

Remember the bartender in Desperado? Cheech

CD

How about "Vicky Christina Barcelona" and "midnight in Paris" as good movies to react to- funny ones!

Joel

fear and loathing in las vegasis a great movie a real trip of a movie nice if you guys watched it

Vigorous Strongs

Not my first time watching and I still laughed hard. ASIA and BJ, keep 'em coming Cheech and Chong's Next Movie (1980). I love it.

D'Myah Vasser

Tommy Chong also plays Leo in That 70s Show you guys should check that out!!

PVaughn

Please watch Nice Dreams, it’s the funniest of the 3 IMO!

Angelfish Luva

Random comment here.. I want to thank you guys for after all these years staying true to what keeps up coming back. So many reactors want to change and be more "professional" in their reactions. You guys are just chill!!

Michele G

They watched A time to kill already. I love that movie !

Elizabeth DeMerie

Lmao Asia tell him to show ya what a M Diver is!!! LOVE YOU GUYS🤣

Dan Gershgol

Need to continue with the Cheech and Chong movies. The next one I feel is even funnier. Got to love the Mexican American song.

Raider Ron

This movie was big in my day. I was in my teens and we would go hang out at the drive in with our beer and weed till closing around 2 to 3 am. I liked all 3 of them but I think this was the best.

Raider Ron

Besides Cheech and Chong movies at the drive in I remember we'd watch The Incredible Melting Man and The Toxic Avenger.

JoJo

Definitely watch Cheech and Chong's Next Movie! So, so funny and dare I say even funnier than Up In Smoke!😄
