This movie is about decisions. Both men right, both men wrong? Gene Hackman made some great movies others I like are Mississippi Burning and Behind Enemy Lines

I'm Batman

Can't wait to see what this movie is all about.

KOTARO

R.I.P. Gene Hackman

Darth Brooks

Thanks for the movie! This will tide me over until the season 2 premiere of The Last of Us drops tonight. Enjoy the flick everyone ✌️ 💜 fam!

Vigorous Strongs

Vladimir Radchenko is the modern-day Vladimir Putin. Communist Russia (Esau - Edom from the Bible) was, is, and always will be evil. Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated... saith the Lord. Malachi 1:2-3 and is also quoted in Romans 9:13. Know your true player to know the game. The Bible is full of KNOWLEDGE. I'm Russian and I know Evil Satanic Russian when I see one. Proud to have moved to, become a citizen, and my allegiance is to the United States of America. I wouldn't want to live anywhere but America!!!

Jay Davis

Ooo s'a good'un. And RIP Gene. Such a great film career.

I'm Batman

Wow, really intense movie. Had a blast watching this, absolutely loved it.

Shenita

Great reaction you two The guy with the headset the young guy sending out the torpedoes was Jesse from breaking bad he was the one that that guy asked who slept with to get on the ship

Soldiergirl

I’m so glad you guys enjoyed the film, I knew you would love it! It’s one of my top 5 favorite movies. It was nominated for three academy awards in the music and sound categories, it didn’t win any. I don’t think this movie got as much attention as it should have at the time. I love the lottery, look at how many more people will be exposed to such an awesome movie. it also gives movies that are less known a chance to shine. Thanks so much! 🎬🍿

Rashad Walker

First and foremost shout out again to soldier girl for picking this film. .....this is arguably my favorite film , also tony Scott was the director of this .....he did enemy of the state which the both of u watched. Another good underrated film by him is " the fan" starring Robert dinero and Wesley Snipes.

captkeebz

woohoo! a fave from my yout.

captkeebz

welcome to another circus

Soldiergirl

4 movies that match this intensity level are, 13 hours The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Black Hawk Down, Deep Water Horizon and The Devil’s Advocate. The first 3 movies are true stories.

Kyndu

RIP Gene Hackman. Nice reaction guys. A Submarine. The closest you can get to being on a spaceship. USNR.

James Forrest

Really great to see how much you both enjoyed this one. A truly tremendous film, helmed by two masterful performances. This is why this is the best reaction channel bar none.

Nicole Sherlock

Wow, a great pick!! Thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Denzel's word on Gene Hackman's recent passing: "I’m still reeling from the news that Gene Hackman left us. Gene wasn’t just a legend—he was a force, like the storms we faced on that submarine in Crimson Tide. Playing opposite him was like going toe-to-toe with a titan; he pushed me to dig deeper, to find the fire. His brilliance in films like The French Connection and Unforgiven will echo forever, but it’s the man behind the roles—gruff, wise, and warm—that I’ll miss most. My heart’s with his family as they carry this loss. Rest in peace, Captain—you commanded the screen, and our respect, to the very end."

LynnC

You cannot go wrong with any Gene Hackman movie. Not a bad one in the bunch

captkeebz

thanks for that. love the real acknowledgements.

Ashleigh

Gene Hackman is really good in Mississippi Burning (1988)

LynnC

hahahaha! Touche

Edgar Gonzalez

Isn't that the one with radioactive man?

Mike Adams

OMG, I'm still laughing at Wishbone lol

Sean G

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie so much. I remember watching it when I was younger and loved it. I always loved Gene Hackman and I'm a big fan of Denzel and together it was just magic. The drama, the tension, the decisions, etc. It's an epic movie.

Kyndu

Suggestion: Gene Hackman "The French Connection". It made him famous!

Jesse McAdams

You missed Webbs was also in Lord of the Rings.

I'm Batman

To be fair it's been over 2 years since they've watched them movies, plus the number of characters in the trilogy was quite extensive so it's understandable if they don't notice that.

Rslharoo

Black hawk down, or American sniper please

Eamonn Locke

Great movie! Two more great submarine movies are 'The Hunt for Red October' and 'U-571.'

Jordan

Wishbone 😂😂 this movie is so good star studded cast too

Justin Freeman

This movie is only ok. Denzel and Hackman both have far better offerings.

JBGirlNextDoor

So I would never in 1 million years have watched this on my own because my fear of dark water but Asia and BJ got me to watch it and I was glued! what an amazing movie thank you ☀️

Dan Gershgol

So many good Gene Hackman movies. Keep them coming.

Justin Freeman

Y'all might could post a Wire reaction more than once a week. Wouldn't nobody curr.....

Sapporo Dragon

I saw this movie in the theater, I can’t believe it came out 30 years ago!😳 RIP Gene Hackman✝️

Vanessa Nalani

The hunt for red October and u571 are also great submarine movies. And a personal favorite battleship movie is under siege!

Sapporo Dragon

Gene Hackman played a lot of roles that people love to hate. The Quick and the Dead is also a very good example. Lillo Brancato had a promising acting career until he got into drugs and alcohol and end up being convicted of second-degree murder a police officer after a breaking and entering attempt. he was incarcerated at Rikers Island from 2008 until 2013 when he was released on parole. He is now sober and supposedly trying to get back into acting.

Sapporo Dragon

And don’t forget Hunter killer.👍🏻

Dan Gonya

The Defcon scale goes from 5 to 1. 5 means situation normal essentially. 1 is high alert, immanent threat.

Dan Gonya

you guys would really enjoy Down Periscope. Basically the premise is, Kelsey Grammar wants to be a nuclear sub commander. So, they give him an old diesel sub and the worst crew possible and challenge him to take on the modern Navy in some wargames. Hilarity ensues.

Dan Gonya

there was another movie you guys reacted to that mentioned Von Clausewitz. It was Law Abiding Citizen. it spoke of his idea of total war, or more correctly translated, Absolute War.

Dan Gonya

My guess would be that he wants to run a drill right after that galley fire in order to prepare for the idea that Engagement orders could come through any time regardless of what is happening, I don't know for sure though, being this is the first time I've ever seen this movie.

Dan Gonya

Jack Kirby is a comic book author....just fyi

Dan Gonya

Who knew that it would all come down to Aragorn, heir of Isildur...ya know, from Lord of the Rings? Shut up, I'm funny dammit! 😂

Larry Purnell

Another good reaction!! YES! (1998) THE SEIGE with Bruce Willis & Denzel Washington is another Action Packed Summer Blockbuster. 🎬

Carol Rocha

Go Navy Veteran!! Thank you! ❤️Asia!! Now how about a Coast Guard movie?? THE GUARDIAN. Kevin Costner & Ashton Kutcher. 🤞🏼

Carol Rocha

This was an edge of your seat movie for sure! Great one!!

Raider Ron

I have seen this movie many times and was still on the edge of my seat. Great performance by Denzel and the great Gene Hackman may he rest in peace.

Paula Turner

this is frightening the heck out of me since we have such incompetent people in these important positions right now.

B.J. Viney

Poolhall Junkies. Underrated movie imo.

Edgar Gonzalez

Good Catch BJ, the kid fixing the communications radio was in "The Sopranos" and he also played C in "A Bronx tale"

Dylanja

BJ you can board and tour an old, docked submarine in San Francisco.

Brooke

Omg dude!! You’re a Navy veteran Asia!? Army combat medic over here. Iraq 2004. Probably way before you and BJ’s time.. Lol. Well, thank you for your service! Was BJ in the service too? Is that where y’all met?

Colin Garvey

Hey guys hope everything is going well. I have just joined your patreon, and am thoroughly enjoying the content

Colin Garvey

Hey did either of you recognise Denzel friend

CHROME DeePo

Never saw this one before watching it with A&B. This is now my 6th favorite movie, and 2nd favorite Denzel movie. Thanks for recommending it!
