Yeah!!! Must confess I had to watch the last two on my own after the way 9x10 ended. Tragedy for Frank I really feel for the man. This season seemed to start a bit slow but WOW what an ending!

I had that same question of who it was that Nicky slept with. We saw him talking to that girl in the park the night before, he drank a crapload of whisky and guess he went home w her. No idea who she is, I thought from last episode she was his cousin or something but this isn’t Game of Thrones, must have been an old fling or something?

I could be wrong, my reading of it was she was a childhood friend of both Ziggy and Nick. They got drunk and hooked up for comfort over what what happened to / what Ziggy did.

Ep 12 - Brother M caught stringer with the word “them”. Stringer was caught off guard because he was expecting “him.” Genius. Stringer needs to get his due and I hope it’s this Brother M who takes him down. Saw seasons 1&2 a long time ago but forgot most of the plot points. All I remember was McNulty likes to sleep around, Omar is a badass, and Kima got shot in season 1. And the fat guy at homicide who just sucks at his job lol. No idea what’s to come but can’t wait!!

Priscilla 'Prissy' Catlow is a friend of cousins, Nick Sobotka and Chester 'Ziggy' Sobotka from way back in the day. Remember near the end of the preceding episode when Nick & her were at the park/playground drinking together & reminiscing over 'Ziggy' after he got arrested? This is also the same chick that 'Ziggy' had a past sexual relationship with (according to Nick, who hasn't?), so 'Ziggy' actually bought it when he got pranked with paternity papers — which claim to be sent from her — down at the bar in which all of the dock workers frequent. Anyway, she & Nick ended up together overnight in her bed intimately consoling one another amid a drunken stupor, which was obviously fueled by mutually depressed emotions over the whole 'Ziggy' situation that had just recently gone down.

Frank wasn't working at a different dock/pier/yard. After all, the posted schedule clearly said Patapsco. Rather, he was just clocking in where the stevedores do so, except with someone else's card — instead of doing his usual thing of sitting around in his role of supervisory capacity, while simultaneously stewing on all of that stressful strife which was cluttering up both his mind & life.

'Brother' Mouzone was slick with it by slipping in the word "them" to Russell 'Stringer' Bell, when clearly it merely involved a singular person (Omar Little) being solely responsible for the shooting inside of the motel room. Omar's gal pals did run the diversion with the dog to distract the bodyguard so Omar could sneak up behind the big boy & knock him out, but Mouzone obviously did not witness any of said setup outside of the door. That one term alone ("them") allowed Mouzone to get his confirmation by way of a simple read on any facial expression, reaction and/or reply from 'Stringer' — which String' stupidly failed to realize when he openly appeared taken aback with surprise of sorts, plus also even responded by asking, "Them?"

For anyone previously unaware: It is wild to think that just a slight bit over one year ago, a massive cargo container ship — not unlike those depicted on the show — named 'Dali' collided with & collapsed the Francis Scott Key Bridge (often shortened to simply being called the Key Bridge). Said bridge across the Patapsco River was essentially an inanimate character of sorts which was frequently featured via various episodes throughout this entire season of 'The Wire'. It was named after the author/lawyer/poet who witnessed the bombardment of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812, then penned the poem titled 'Defence of Fort M'Henry', which eventually became our country's national anthem, 'The Star-Spangled Banner'. The rebuilding process, which will apparently come in at an estimated cost of between $1.7 & $1.9 billion, is not planned to be finished until late 2028. They say that it will supposedly be done sometime during the "Fall-tumn" (my own created portmanteau of Fall + Autumn) season of said year. Additionally, the incident blocked most shipping to & from the Port of Baltimore for a span of about eleven weeks. The Maryland Governor called the event a "Global Crisis", and indeed it was one which had in fact affected more than 8,000 jobs, plus the closing of the waterway caused an economic impact of approximately $15 million per day. Moreover, many people aplenty understandably still weep for & mourn over the loss of the six deceased members of a maintenance crew who were killed by the unfortunate collision. They were merely doing their jobs, working on the roadway atop the bridge in the wee hours of that fateful morning, on March 26th of 2024 at 1:28 AM EDT. Two more from the aforementioned crew were thankfully rescued from the river. Even worse, especially for the respective collective families involved, it took several painstakingly agonizing weeks to account for all six of said dead bodies, which initially went missing in the water. Obviously, they could have been easily swept away in any direction by the tides. If I recollect correctly, either two or three bodies were recovered some time after, followed intermittently by another two or three more later. Currently, I cannot clearly recall the precise order off the top of my head, as in whether it was three found first, then two more, or vice versa. At any rate, that still left one body remaining somewhere out there for quite a while, before eventually the last missing person was finally discovered. I suppose that at least some closure was provided for the close-knit circle of loved ones who lost their friends / family members. What a dishearteningly sad, sobering, somber sob story of a situation all around!

Absolue pleasure watching season 2 with you guys, I have loved every minute of it. These are one of the highlights of my week. I am delighted that you guys are loving this so much and getting so invested in the show. And Season 3 is sublime, almost the perfect season of television. Dying to watch your reactions to it.
