Karl Kraus

Too bad this series got stopped at the third book There's a tv streaming adaptation coming to Netflix though I'm not too thrilled about it however

Abby

And now Lonely Island is stuck in my head!!! 😂

Karl Kraus

Can you please finish the pirates of the caribbean trilogy? At world's end?

Dan Gershgol

I love the books and movies. This movie stays very close to the book but the other two take a lot of liberties but I still like them.

Dan Gershgol

The Children of London were evacuated to the country during the blitz in 1940.

Karl Kraus

The first one was a fun one to see in theaters for the holidays, which is when it was released

Vanessa Nalani

The 2nd movie is The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. All the same kids are in it. It's also really good and the actor who played Tyrion Lanister is also in it. There is a 3rd film called The Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treador. It's not as good as the 1st 2 because they had a smaller budget i think. Still worth a watch. Unfortunately they didn't do all the books. I wish they had. As always I loved your reaction. Yall are so fun its like watching my favorite movies with new friends waiting with excitement to see how you like the movie. ❤️❤️❤️

Many people feel like this story has bibical elements. Aslan is often seen as a symbolic representation of Jesus Christ, and the White Witch can be seen as a symbol of Satan.

Karl Kraus

c.s. lewis put a lot of Christian allegorys in his books, especially this series The lion Aslan and the citizens of Narnia represent the figure of Jesus and his disciples If you looked closely, there's even a literal portrayal of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection when the white witch killed him at that stone table And the appearance of Father Christmas (as he was known in the UK) and the giving of gifts to the kids? And Edmund is like the disciple who betrayed Jesus, judas And how you kept hearing "Son of Adam" and "Daughter of Eve?" Well... you can figure that one out lol

Karl Kraus

This book series is essentially the children's version of the Lord of the Rings There are seven in all and there are two ways to read them: chronological order and release order In fact, j.r.r. tolkien and c.s lewis were good friends and LOTR came out just over five years after this book did

Asia…I can’t girl. Not you saying “shoot Mufasa!” Lmao. It’s unhealthy the amount of times I rewatched that part. Didn’t know you’d scream this much though. Hehe. I love you girl. I watched the animated version that came out in 1979. Loved it as a child. The author did symbolize Christianity in this. Aslan (voiced by Liam Neeson from Taken) represented Christ and the white witch represented satan. Son of Adam daughter of Eve. That’s why the white witch didn’t see Aslan’s resurrection coming. Because she didn’t understand. Also why when Aslan went to the stone table you noticed all the animals and creatures there looked evil and wicked. C.S. Lewis was an atheist before converting to Christianity. He’s made quite the waves with this one. So glad y’all got to enjoy. Loved the jump scares though. Leave it to yall to jump…yall make my life so much better and brighter. Just by being yall. Love yall goofs.

Shirlene Wright

The witch should have known this wasn’t gonna work knowing that Aslan has “ a particular set of skills “. Sorry I couldn’t help myself. Great Reaction thanks.

Karl Kraus

the half-man and half-horse creature is a centaur the creature you called a bison BJ is a minotaur They're from Greek mythology

Karl Kraus

Now that you mention it, Liam Neeson does have authority in his voice like James Earl Jones He was the perfect choice to voice Aslan But jones was more a baritone while Neeson sounds different, more gravelly

Karl Kraus

The white witch was a sort of usurper of the throne, a self proclaimed ruler And the answer as to why she believes Narnia is hers lies in the book about the origin of Narnia, the magicians nephew I can't remember exactly what but it has something to do with her being queen in another realm and she and other beings were transported to Narnia and a squabble began between her and Aslan

Aaron Barlow

When BJ said "I'm following the beaver" I expected Asia to give him one of her looks lol.

Aaron Barlow

It shoudl really be called 'Aslanmas' right? Instead of Christmas. Although seeing as boys are called the sons of Adam, and girls the daughters of Eve, I guess they're fully aware of biblical tradition.

Stefan Williams

Edmund Pevensie is such a dickhead. Always hated that little asshole since I was a kid.

Karl Kraus

the Pevensies ruled Narnia for fifteen years before fate drew them back through the wardrobe

Vigorous Strongs

ASIA and BJ, in Greek mythology, half-human, half-horse creatures are called Centaurs.

Karl Kraus

the professor definitely knew what the kids were up to inside the wardrobe remember back to his last conversation with Peter and Susan his eyes grew wide and ears listened intently after Susan said there's a magical land within the reason why is that he's been there before and he had the wardrobe made he became the object's keeper and he's been attempting to head back to Narnia for decades but his purpose isn't involving that

Karim

I remember when my teacher read this to us in the 4th grade, I was so curious about Turkish Delight, I figured that must be some good ass candy if Edmund was willing to sellout his own family for it.😆😆

Jaxon Fierce

Fun fact. the actor who played the professor, Is also a Professor of hogwarts. Professor Slughorn.

Aaron Barlow

Crazy living an entire life and going back into your 13 year old body. At 53 I wish I could do that lol.

Aaron Barlow

And the queen is a bitch from my 'dating history' mythology.

Justin Kent

Glad yall liked the movie! The second one is just as good. Hope you can check that one out sometime as well.

Martin Harris

The half man, half horse is called a Centaur, and the half bull, half man is called a Minotaur. The half eagle, half cat is called a Griffin, Griffon or Gryphon. 🫣

Aliyah Hamilton

If I’m not mistaken in the book the witch had put a spell on them and he was hypnotized

D'Myah Vasser

this came out the same year i was born lol

This was the second world war. During that time in Britain, the government had an initiative issued that anyone in the countryside who had space was to take in any children they could as their share of the war effort, and they couldn't refuse to do so. The children were evacuated from the cities because the Germans weren't bombing the countryside.
