ASIA and BJ, this series is as real as it gets. I haven't seen anything this real than First48. I'm totally enjoying it. Are you still enjoying it? And Carceti... well, I gotta tell you he definitely ain't Petyr "Littlefinger". That's who he ain't. Have you seen the Netflix series "Peaky Blinders (2013-2022)"? Carceti aka Littlefinger is also starting in Peaky Blinders. You should watch it. It's about Irish-British 1919 gangsters. Cillian Murphy is the main character and you also get Tom Hardy, too. Put this series on your next polls. It'll win. You won't regret.

So, I know you said your last two viewings of four episodes were like two hours apart or whatever, but once again some things bear repeating: Sherrod did NOT steal any drugs from Bubbles' nightstand. On the contrary, Sherrod left a couple vials of dope for "Uncle" Bubbles, because he felt bad about him getting beat up earlier that day. Sherrod may even view it as sort of a payment of gratitude for providing him a place to stay, even if it is a raggedy, shoddy, shabby shack. Additionally, Tommy Carcetti did NOT win the Mayor position in Episode 6. Rather, he won the Democratic primary, beating out fellow Democratic candidates Clarence Royce & Tony Gray. Carcetti still has to defeat the winning Republican candidate in the general election to officially win the Mayoral race, something which he did briefly state during his speech near the end of Episode 6. He is still not Mayor in Episode 7. Episode 7 was at least a bit more clarifying about that fact, despite continuing to come across as confusing, since Carcetti eventually winning the actual Mayoral race is frequently being treated as a foregone conclusion by many around him. Granted, that is due to the Democratic party's dominance in the city of Baltimore.

A few episodes back (in S4 E4), there was a rolled-up, typed note in the hand of the deceased state's witness, which read: "Tater killed me". That was merely a hazing prank at Shakima's expense by 'Bunk' and company. Now (in S4 E7), 'Kima' has discovered that ironically potatoes (aka taters) were being used as a silencer for what was basically just target practice of bottles by a dude doing some shooting from his backyard. Unfortunately, the aforementioned state's witness was simply an innocent bystander who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, as he caught a stray bullet, which missed the intended target and instead killed him.

32:40 In politics you make friends just to use them better than they use you. 51:44 Herc is probably the most ineffective cop in the whole damn series. 1:40:40 Well that was easy (and hilarious). Prop Joe found out major crimes is investigating Marlo.

In Maryland, the card issued by the Department of Social Services (DSS) for accessing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits is called the "Independence Card". This card is like a debit card that can be used to purchase food at any store displaying the Quest logo. It is also used to access any cash benefits deposited into the EBT account. Key Features of the Independence Card: Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT): The card is part of the Maryland EBT system, which allows for electronic transfer of benefits. Access to SNAP Benefits: It's used to purchase eligible food items and seeds for growing food. Cash Benefits: It can also be used to access cash benefits deposited into the EBT account. Quest Logo: The card can be used at any store or ATM displaying the Quest logo. Security: The card requires a PIN for each transaction, making it safe. I think the DA lady said "Lester" when being surprised by the promotion was just her thinking to herself, damn Lester was right. Remember she didn't want to issue the subpoenas on the politicians but Lester gave her so much shit about it that she agreed to do it against her better judgement. Turns out that was a smart move " Thanks Lester"

As a teacher, I just wanted to address what the veteran teachers were telling Prez. They didn't mean that he shouldn't care about the kids, what they meant was it doesn't do the kids or the school any good if a teacher like Prez gets fired in his first year. Go back and look at the scene in the first episode with the VP and and the Principal discussing staff shortages. Think about the behavior and academic difficulties you've seen so far. People aren't exactly chomping at the bit to sign up to be a teacher in inner city Baltimore. Math positions in particular are understaffed. If Prez completely bucks the system then what happens? Maybe a few kids that first year get the benefit of a decent teacher for one year before he's canned. The veterean teachers were simply trying to make sure he would be able to stick around for the long haul. Notice, Ms. Sampson told him to placate the district publicly, but behind the scenes he should do what he feels is best for his kids.

I think this season so far might be my favorite. And it is also making me count my lucky stars to be able to teach at the school I’m at.
