Fury is awesome. Lone Survivor, the guy it's based on said it got that Hollywood treatment. Platoon is basically a semi-autobiographical by Oliver Stone about his time as an infantry soldier in Vietnam. They're all dark, but i think Platoon is both the best and the worst Vietnam movie, because it's honest and it hurts to watch.

Agree! Our pick ever year is to watch the film "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon. What he sees and finds on his journey while taking Chance home is absolutely beautiful. All the outpouring of respect, along with sadness, from virtually everyone he encounters along the way: baggage handlers at airports, fellow commercial plane passengers, airline counter personnel, funeral home employees and, above all, the military personnel who took charge of Chance Phelps’ body in Iraq, transported it to Dover, and prepared it for burial. It changes a person when you see what actually happens. It does a fine job of showing you the human cost of war and reminding us what Memorial Day is all about.
