Jay Rivera

I’m stoked. This will be the first time I get to watch it with my lady and then rewatch it with you guys. Haven’t seen it yet but waiting for y’all to drop “From Dusk Till Dawn” because I’ve heard that’s what this is just with more soul. I’m really excited! Thank y’all!

ZealValHarriah

Shaun of the dead, 21 jump street or the hobbit desolation pls.

Saraka Smith

Ive seen this movie 7 times. Excellent pic.

Darth Brooks

Rebecca Karsner

Didn't get a chance to see this or really anything in theaters this year yet so I am definitely excited to watch this for the first time with my favorite reactors!!! 😁🫶❤️

Debbie Green

Oh hell yeah!!! I just watched this the other night! Can’t wait to get home & watch with y’all!!

Brandon Wheeler

Yea loved the filming but was off by the plot and story and why but after digging into to it to understand I’m a fan. Bc I was like it’s good but ehh learning more is now a wow ok and rewatching helps but knowing. I really think the hype was just yea it’s great and not understanding it. Always love music scenes in movies. Made me remember the scene in black snake moan this gave me that vibe loved the barn and thunderstorm playing. so now I got to watch that again lol

Von

OH HELL YEAH!!!👌🏾🔥

Craig Anderson

Y'all definitely need to watch this a second time because you'll learn something new everytime. Like Smoke has Stack roll his cigarettes for him because he has PTSD from the war, which is why he asked the Klan leader for one. Also, if you remember the guitar Sammie was playing was owned by the twins father who abused Stack when they was younger. My guess is that their fathers spirit still lies within that guitar seeing how it attracted the vampires. Also, each of the characters represents the 7 deadly sins. Smoke represents greed because of his obsession with money, Bo represents pride because he was concerned about getting Grace back home and if he would have waited inside they still would have been alive. Grace represents Wrath because she had a mental breakdown when Rimmick threatened her family which lead to everyone getting killed. Delta Slim represents Gluttony because of his constant drinking which is the last thing he did before he went out. P.S. the brass knuckles that Stack was wearing in the post credit scene was the same brass knuckles that Radio Raheem was wearing in Spike Lee's, 'Do The Right Thing.'

Renee S

Everyone is hitting this one :) I'll have to check it out with you guys

Awilda Luciano

YESSSS, you just made my Monday night!!!!😊

Kim Cottingham

Good to know. My sis and rented cuz everybody said best movie. But we were like Good not great. Loved michael b. Jordan though!! So looking forward to watching again.

Mayne

Look at yall doing newbies!!! I'm ready for this one!

Kim Cottingham

Nah when I was 11 loved horror movies!

Brandon Wheeler

Yes look into the lore. It brings so much more power. Bc first time not a fan and I asked everyone that was like this is the best movie and I was like what was your take and nothing. Just hot Micheal b Jordan sweaty x2. After the lore and i didnt look into it until she said “they feel his pain” and added the two at the end that controlled themselves. and why they wanted Sammy 🫨🤯🤯

Deija

Oooo👏🏾okay

Mikey

I been DYING to see this movie! i’m glad I get to watch it with you guys‼️‼️

JL Green

By sheer coincidence I watched it just prior to seeing this post. For me the best movie I've seen this year.

Elizabeth DeMerie

I have been waiting Asia lol cant wait to see your reaction 😆

Ren

Welp, time to watch this movie for the 4th time this week lmao all the reactors are dropping this now that it’s streaming and I love it

C Redwoman

Couldn’t wait to get home from work and watch this with y’all!!

ZitchyMC

I’ve been wanting to watch this. So excited

Deep Dives

Best movie of the year so far imo

Nicole

Yesssss been waiting for this one❤

Brandon Wheeler

Yea smoke stacks P&L is not looking good in this quarter ….need a new business plan 🤣

Dan63

What a movie. Loved it.

WT

This movie is ridiculously good 🤦🏽‍♂️ you’ll definitely have to watch it atleast 2 more times 🤣🤣 not kidding! There’s so many things happening at 1 time in this movie in any given scene it’s IMPOSSIBLE to fully grasp everything in 1 or even 2 watches! They threw me off coming in thinking it was a horror film. There’s horror but this is not a horror film. It’s much deeper than that.

Dan Gonya

If I have a complaint at all, it's that they stretched this movie out way too long. It was a simple story about vampires and music set in depression era Mississippi. I don't think it needed to be 2 hours long. Was this like an extended cut or something? Otherwise, very cool movie. When they first dropped that beat in the juke joint...that was awesome!

Rebecca Karsner

Just started watching!! Asia I love your t-shirt!!! Yes we all love Michael B Jordan!! And yes absolutely you guys need to react to Fruitvale Station! Very powerful film and it's a true story!!! Octavia Spencer is also in it!! I love both of them!!!

Dan Gonya

See, I'm of the opinion that there shouldn't be secondary lore that you need to know in order to enjoy a movie. My criticism is based on what is here, not what I can go and find out. I still liked it though.

Dan Gonya

The music is what really made it for me!

Edgar Gonzalez

I say that it got too much hype, but nowadays good movies are super hyped because there aren't many good ones... Its still a great movie to watch tho

Dan Gonya

Jeez, every time I think the movie is over, it keeps going. I liked it when it ended the first time...

PVaughn

Movie of the year!!!!

Abby

You Beat Everyone to it! Yay!

Smitty Benzo

Ryan Coogler directed Black Panther and the Creed Films.

Matthew Folz

Just started watching this reaction, but yes, yes yes Absolutely watch Fruitvale Station.

Smitty Benzo

The subtleness in the acting and directing choices is beautiful and real. Example: How Smoke felt Ms. Annie quietly come out the house as he kneeled over their child's grave, then acknowledges her presence by asking "How you been?" This happens later when Mary feels Smoke standing over her shoulder at the bar and she like him, talks to them before facing them. And just like real life, we usually can sense someone approaching us before seeing them.

Ryan Holmes

The movie Asia was trying to think of at the end is The Parent Trap

Smitty Benzo

A "root" can be a spell or a curse involving the use of herbs and different plants.

Jason Cooper

Yes, Fruitvale is a must see, it's based on a true story....... Also Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler has worked on a lot of films together including the Black Panther and Creed franchises

Karim

2025 movie of the year so far. And not BJ getting jealous of Asia crushing on Michael B Jordan.😂😂😂

Matthew Folz

Great reaction. Definitely the movie of the year by FAR. The movie Asia was talking about at the end was The Parent Trap. And the movie that BJ was talking about was the bad movie classic (That's a compliment) Double Impact.

CHROME DeePo

Yall gotta watch Blood Diamond

Eamonn Locke

Great reaction! It was awesome to see Buddy Guy and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram come in at the end. Two masters of blues music from different eras. I was always intrigued by the folklore of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil at the crossroads and love how he was the inspiration for the character Sammie Moore.

Debbie Green

Rumor is that the movie is loosely based off the life of legendary blues singer, Robert Johnson. He supposedly made a deal with the devil for his talent.

MiM

I'm so glad ya'll enjoyed this movie. I loved it when I watched it in theathers. Watching the scene where Sammy is singing and then showing the influence of the music through past, present, and future was visually so amazing on the big screen.

Renee S

Wild movie! Makes me think of my own family tree, deeply rooted in the old south, and a lot of these characters hit home. My grandfather was from Louisiana (and rumor had it, he knew Louie Armstrong very well) and my grandmother was from Mississippi and her father was Chinese, so depending on the day, growing up we might be eating peach cobbler and black eyed peas, or we might just be eating chop suey :)

azulaghoul

sounds like old racist rhetoric

azulaghoul

Lost me at calling Pearline and adulteress. Lowkey dehumanizing.

Saraka Smith

Whoever said it was dehumanizing that I called Pearline an adulteress, had Stack been married to another woman, I literally would have called him an adulterer. That’s literally what it is called. I did not call her horrible names that women are often referred to nor did go on and on and on ripping her to shreds making it seem as though she was less than human. And although there is no context given as to whether or not she was in an abusive relationship, an unhappy marriage or if her husband was an adulterer, I’m simply calling her that based on information given which was in fact that she was married. Or at least she claimed to be. However, since this has now become something of which I’m being accused of dehumanizing another woman, I will kindly remove my previous comment from this post altogether as to not trigger, nor upset anyone else in this group.

Eamonn Locke

There was nothing wrong with your comment. Sounds like that user is emotionally fragile. That's their problem.

Saraka Smith

I already deleted it out of guilt lol

Eamonn Locke

That's alright. Going forward, remember to never give into trolls lol

Holly

No, you're good. Internet trolls are everywhere, even here apparently. Just ignore the noise. :)

Saraka Smith

Thank you :). What’s more Im a 49 year old black woman. I dont care what color Pearline is. If a man cheats, he’s an adulterer if a woman cheats, she’s an adulteress. Whoever that was was trying to make it seem like I singled Pearline out for being a black woman even though, I too am Black lol. Adultery and race have nothing to do with it. Lol

Saraka Smith

Im black. What are you talking about?

Marco

Please watch fruitvale station!!!! Powerful ass movie

Rashad Walker

Well done film ....my only critique would be it would of been nice to see more of the chaktaw and they whole angle to what happen with them and the vampires

Dan Gershgol

Wonderful movie. Entertaining throughout. FYI. The original parent trap with Hayley Mills is way better than the remake.

Rashad Walker

People just don't like to hear truthful words that been around since the Bible days, nor do they like accountability

Rashad Walker

Freaky Friday bj is the one with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Logan's characters switched bodies one morning. She was her mother and her mom was her daughter

Saraka Smith

Yeah they were making it sound like I called Pearline a *hore lol. Which I did not. Then said that what I said was racist rhetoric. Even though Im black too lol

Nichole

BJ timestamp 1:36 when he said he would lay all of them down that was actually a line from Independence Day when Will Smith was going to the spaceship after it crashed

Thia

His Cross Roads Blues song is amazing. It seems like he is a likely inspiration at least for the movie.

Thia

It’s not racist. It’s Blues folklore largely propagated by Blues singers themselves in the 20’s and 30’s to add some mystique to their publicity for clubs and shows.

Debbie Green

You did nothing wrong! She was committing adulatory, plain & simple

Debbie Green

Old saying is “consider the source”. Same person called me a racist for mentioning the tale of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil for his talent.

Thia

Thanks Renee, now I’m hungry for chop suey AND peach cobbler 😜

Megan Smith

Easily one of the best movies I've seen in the last 10 years.

Courtney

My second time watching this and I definitely think.its even better the second time. And the fact they got Buddy Guy to be elder Sammie.

Courtney

Definitely could have inspired it

Kyndu

Reminds me from Tales from the Crypt. "Demon Knights".

Melissa Perez

I saw this twice at the theaters. I saw yall post this on YouTube the other day and had to run over and watch the whole reaction with yall. Can’t wait!

Jacqueline Dyson

This is one of my favorite present day movies.

Cody Jado

BJs face @ 1:06:36 has me dead bro lmaooo

Shug

Wow! I didn’t expect to see Buddy Guy. I love him! 💖

Kain D. Zero

Based on the "hype" made by some reviewers I was disappointed in this movie. I can only give it a 6/10 for good effort and for it being original.

PacMac

It was definitely "blown up" more than it deserved. And it lasted more that it should have, I lost interest watching it at least 7 times while watching it.

Crislikeice

Y'all Should watch Quentin Tarantinos from dusk till dawn if u haven't already starting George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino

David Croft-Ogawa

You guys should see the movie, Adaptation. Nicholas Cage plays twin brothers. And it’s a good, twisted film!

Anthony Jackson

Asia & Bj….. y’all need to react to fruitvale station absolutely

Mike Martinez

I had an opportunity to work with Ryan Coogler and Micheal Jordan as a stunt guy on Fruitvale Station. I thought then, that they had great chemistry, and Ryan was going to be a great Director.

Mike Martinez

Another movie you’d like is The Man in the Iron Mask with Leonardo DiCaprio, where he also plays twin bothers. It’s the story of the Three Musketeers.

Kain D. Zero

A hit is a hit and Sinners just isn't a hit for me. It's good but won't even be on my top 100 list of best movies

Ryan Holmes

Seeing BJ jump at 1:22:06 might be my favorite moment of the channel lmao

Ry Cannon

As a person with an identical twin sister I would have definitely been a vampire my sister is half of my heart literally don’t know if I could live without her so I understand how smoke was feeling struggling to let his brother go

danielle steele

Ryan coogler did black panther one and two
