What happened to Almost Famous? I have been waiting for it as my birthday gift lol

Stefan Williams

This movie makes me feel weak as a man compared to these survivors <3

Dan63

Quality movie. A&B Stranger Things a week from tonight.

Jay Davis

Oh dear. This'll be rough. Let's do it.

Von

Rebecca Karsner

I just got out of the theater seeing Wicked For Good and im wrecked.. and yall drop this movie?? Omg im gonna be so broken tomorrow!! Thanks VIP!! This is a great film!! Hope everyone has a good night!! 🩷💚🩷💚🩷💚

Edgar Gonzalez

This was a powerful movie, and graphic too... The sad part is that things like this happened in real life. I think everyone should watch movies like this at least once in their life. Cause if people forget things of the past like this, they might be doomed to repeat it. Ok fam, lets get to it... Adrien Brody did a great job in this film.

RollingAcres47

The Oscar that year should have been given to Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York for best actor instead of him. The other is that Saving Private Ryan didn't win best picture. 2 biggest crimes in Hollywood. I will forever refuse to watch this or Shakespeare in Love, which won best picture over Saving Private Ryan. Both done by Harvey Weinstein....such BS

Stefan Williams

I know you been seeing our MCU comments guys hahaha This movie is amazing though! Also your ultimate VIP's, god they eat good. BUT they also pay good, so i get it lol

Eric

“You guys want another MCU crowd pleaser? Ok, here’s a gut wrenching Holocaust drama.”

Kobain Reid

I watched this in school

Stefan Williams

They think stretching it over years will help maintain watch traffic. But i think it just making us all more frustrated ahhaha

Donna Bannister

Stefan Williams

Beetlejuice is big mad.

I've been waiting so long for this movie or "Schindlers list". But this movie is great, i mean very very sad but such a great acting from Adrian Brody. As a German I feel guilt, seriously! But I also think we need movies like this to show us what our ancestors did, and that must never be forgotten. We must always remember it so that it doesn't happen again. The germany today takes the past very seriously as a school student I visited two concentration camps, it was horrrirfying but necessary every german school does that and as a class representative i was supposed to write something in the visitors book and all I could think was "We are ashamed to be German".

James Nyman

No we gotta watch Schindlers list

Michele G

Ok me too. I thought it was just me. Every time I get a notification I run to my phone like a giddy child only to be let down yet again 😂 I mean don’t get me wrong, I love most of the movies they drop but almost famous is one of my FAVORITES!!!

Awilda Luciano

First time watching. Wow, Adrien Brody can really deliver. Very impactful.

Eamonn Locke

The director, Roman Polanski, is a child molester. I have to skip this one.

Dan Gershgol

So glad this was requested. Favorite holocaust movie next to Schindlers List.

Poopy McDoodooface

I love the Pianist. Such a good movie. Another great movie set during the same time period is the 1992 film "Shining Through " starring Michael Douglas and Melanie Griffith. It is an excellent movie.

Matthew Stewart

Actually Captain Wilhelm Hosenfeld helped Wladyslaw Szpilman out of kindness not just because he played the piano. He's credited on helping more Jewish people. He became disgusted with the Nazi party and their ways so he went against them and helped with what he could before being captured by the Soviet Union. I like learning about people helping the Jews during that horrible time. Others who protected the Jews from the Nazis who were actually Nazi members who came to their senses were Oskar Schindler (as others have said Schindler's List is another one to check out), Major Karl Plagge, and others.

CD

Same!! I’m waiting on almost famous! (But of course the pianist is a sad but great movie)

iShihTzuNot

Cadillac Records. That’s why Adrien Brody’s face was familiar to me. I’m terrible with names.

Jon Culi

As a Jewish person, thanks for reacting to this one. Yeah Roman Polanski is not a good person, but this movie is great.

Jon Culi

Really? Day lewis is a great actor but gangs of new York is easily a scorseses worst movie and Daniel day Lewis overacted as hell in it.

RollingAcres47

Martin Scorceses worst movie is the best movie for any other director.

Jon Culi

Doesn't make it a good movie. It's boring as hell and Cameron Diaz is horrific in it

Matt F

I'm a professional pianist, and had a grandfather who fought in World War II. I'm not Jewish but have Jewish people in my extended family. This movie hits hard for me. Thanks for watching it!

Jennis Davis

I know I'm 4 days late but I agree! However, it will definitely be a hard watch. May Asia and BJ react to it some day and mentally prepare.

Bonnie Smith

May we never come close to repeating this again. No matter where you come from, background, ethnicity.. we cannot go back to treating others as such and separating families. =(

Bonnie Smith

Hosenfeld was against the regime and saved many others. Definitely look him up - I'm still learning more info on him as well.

RollingAcres47

You have your opinion I'll have mine. Cameron Diaz is very very easy on the eyes.

Mami's Gatos

I never watched this on my own cos I thought it would be too upsetting but it was great. When he tasted the jam for the first time in a long time, I nearly shed a tear. If you haven't read the kommandants' girl, I highly suggest it. Im not a huge novel person but its one of my favorite books.

Richard Zinns

Polanski, who won an Oscar for directing this movie, lived through this period in Poland as a child. He was sheltered by some families after being separated from his parents, and managed to hide his Jewish descent - so he must have identified strongly with his protagonist's experience.
