Brandon Lee's ( Bruce Lee's son) last movie. He passed away in 1993 and he was only 28 years old. He was accidentally shot with a prop gun on set of filming "The Crow" which accidentally killed him. A huge shout out to the VIP member Solo (I hope i am saying it right) for suggesting this. We are halfway through the week, and VIP is already giving Asia & BJ bangers to react to! R.I.P Brandon Lee 🙏

This is a special movie, in fact it's not a movie, it's a film and I'm glad you're finally getting around to watching it.

Antonio

Omg yes!!!

asiaandbj

It's crazy to know Brandon Lee lost his life on set of this movie. There's a crazy, dark and weird undertone watching this movie after all these years.

Claudette

Driving Miss Daisy would be perfect for Black History Month ☺️

Star1er

Very nice you guys on ya 90s game ok I see ya ...good choice

Edgar Gonzalez

Other few projects that Brandon lee has been in: 1 "Showdown in Little Tokyo" with co star Dolph Lundgren 2. Rapid Fire 3. Laser Mission 4. Legacy of Rage

Some Facts on Brandon Lee's Death Date: March 30, 1993. Location: Carolco Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina. How it happened: During filming, a prop gun was used with a blank cartridge. A piece of a real bullet, from a previously used dummy round, had become lodged in the gun's barrel. The blank's gunpowder was enough to propel this embedded bullet tip into Lee. Result: Lee was shot in the abdomen, died hours later from blood loss and internal injuries during surgery. Investigation: The incident was ruled an accident caused by negligence, with no criminal charges filed, though Lee's family later sued the production company.

Rest in Brandon Lee! I saw this in Theater when I was in High School! I knew Brandon had been killed while making the movie and that made me cry even more at the end of the movie! I have the movie and the soundtrack! It is sad that he died like his father did. So glad y'all watched this!!!! Love this movie!!!

Velvet Joy Vanderslice

Brandon was deceased before the filming was over. So they created the content of him, with very old CGI. You can find the scenes if you search for them. It’s hard to watch. 😢

Maeve1667

The creator of the comic that this movie is based off of, James O'Barr, actually wrote this as a form of therapy for the loss of his fiancé to a car accident. As other's have said, Brandon Lee died during the filming...it was during the scenes where he and Shelly were killed...they had changed the scene a little and was shooting the alternative scene of him being shot when walking in with take out food. The actor that played Funboy, Michael Massee, was the the one that had the prop gun that killed Brandon Lee. It really messed that actor up and he had to have a ton of therapy. He blamed himself for Brandon's death. It was very sad, because I think that this film would have launched Lee's career higher...it really showed how great of an actor he was.

FLORIDABOYYY

check out the punisher 2004. another revenge movie 😬

Brandon Wheeler

Yall have to watch dragon now the the Bruce Lee story

Em Gomez

The very first movie my wife and I ever saw together. We were together almost 27 years to the day before she passed 4 years ago. As hard as it is to watch, I have to if only to bring her back in a way for at least a little while in my heart and mind. Nothing is trivial. Thank you so much for showing this.

MacGuffinStuff

Dragon, the Bruce Lee Story, you gotta watch that. Wasn't an actual bullet in the gun, but the gun wasn't cleared properly and, that's just really sad for anyone to die over such a small detail.

Matthew Barney

It’s Valentines Day weekend, I got a good pick for y’all. It’s called Urban Cowboy

MacGuffinStuff

Some less tragic trivia, the soundtrack is basically a mix CD of what I was listening to in high school 😆 A lot of these artists joined on because of Brandon Lee dying. Nine Inch Nails did an awesome cover of a Joy Division song "Dead Souls", and The Cure, I think they were asked if one of their songs could be used but Robert Smith of the Cure decided instead to write and record an original song for the movie, and that's "Burn", it's that song playing when Eric first paints his face and starts running rooftops. I consider it the theme song for the movie.

Poopy McDoodooface

This is one movie that I hadn't seen before. Thanks Asia & BJ for reacting to it, otherwise I might not have ever watched it. Great reactions once again 👏

Poopy McDoodooface

Yeah, it was a good movie. I wish I would've seen it in my teens when it came out but I'm glad that I finally saw it.

Kain D. Zero

I forgot Ernie Hudson was in this one.

RollingAcres47

The actor who played Funboy was the person who accidentally shot him. He was traumatized by it, took a year off from acting, had recurring nightmares, and never saw the movie. He passed away of cancer in 2016.

Robin

I haven’t seen this in years, but i remember it being really good so i will be watching soon I appreciate the VIP selections so much, however can we get some more movie reactions on regular basis? Just asking for me because i do love your channel and I definitely want to keep going! ❤️

Red

If you want to watch a movie about Bruce Lee watch 1993 Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story excellent movie with Jason Scott Lee {no relation] and Lauren Holly

Tracy Varner

Great reaction as always and now I’m crying… I always cry at the end of this movie knowing how Brandon Lee died while filming this masterpiece. At the end when it said ‘For Brandon and Eliza’ she Eliza was Brandon’s fiancé. So heartbreaking but nonetheless I love this film.

Saints_Madness

Yea unfortunately Brandon Lee passed during that scene with fun boy. The rest of the movie had to be finished with a double and stunt man and they used a special mask to finish the film. There was even a Zombie cowboy that was going to be included in the film, he was supposed to be something that whispered to him throughout the film. He was known as the Skull Cowboy. He was apparently cut from the film but he was supposed to be a supernatural guide for Lee. Since he was cut, that means that footage is still there. Well excellent review to a classic. This was the first rated R comic book movie. Not Ryan Reynolds

Raphayel

So glad you all are watching this. This was a staple in my childhood. There's only ONE Crow movie 🎬 and this one is it. RIP Brandon Lee

Raphayel

BTW the cop in this movie STILL looks exactly the same maybe a lil grey but that's it. He must a vampire or a highlander or sumtn

JL Green

Good luck with that, I've been requesting that movie for a minute.

JL Green

The girl in the film who played Sarah according to imdb hasn't done another film since "The Crow!" I have a feeling Brandon Lee's passing affected her.

Venture619

That must be a democrat run city.; eheheh... ehheehe.. 😁

Aaron Barlow

Or possessed by a ghost he should be bustin'.

Aaron Barlow

We need to find out if Alec Baldwin was on the Crow set.

SAMURAI

This was the sinister joke that BJ caught, but Asia missed - "Jesus Christ walks into a hotel. He hands the innkeeper three nails, and he asks... Can you put me up for the night?"

Aaron Barlow

He certainly is, shooting co stars is as edgy as it gets

Caitlin O'Connell

The shooting involved a cinematographer, not a co-star, and it was ruled an accident.

Brandon Wheeler

What tattoo? Bj you lying your ass off you weren’t looking at that tattoo.lol

Kain D. Zero

You got to watch Blade 2 and the TV series The Strain

Aaron Barlow

Sure it was...in the words of Kim Jong Il "you are useless Arec Bahwinnn!"

Kyndu

"The Strain"

RollingAcres47

Romans 12:19; "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, for it is written 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay' says the Lord." God sent the crow; vengeance belongs to Him.

RollingAcres47

Aww c'mon man...neither one had criminal intent...they thought they were acting in a movie.

Dan Gershgol

Love this movie. You should watch Enter the Dragon.

RollingAcres47

Actually, there is a small part that I left out. I'll capitalize it because it's important...Romans 12:19; "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, BUT LEAVE ROOM FOR GOD'S WRATH, for it is written 'it is mine to avenge; I will repay' says the Lord." They all received God's wrath for treating His other children in the manner they did.

JL Green

Alright Asia, now that I know you've never seen a Bruce Lee movie I am determined to write in the movie "Enter The Dragon" every chance I get until you see it.

Aaron Barlow

Geez dude, it was a joke. Some people are so sensitive.

Christopher Dietz

Now, does this give you a little more insight on @Draven. Love it my friend

Tami Ramos

Devil’s Night, the night before Halloween, is a “holiday” that used to happen quite frequently in Detroit, MI. It was marked with destruction and mischief. Watch a documentary on Halloween and you will hear it mentioned. Eric and Shelley were going to get married on Halloween. Shelley sent a letter to the landlord of her apartment buiding complaining about code violations and such. He didn’t take it so well and sent his henchment to give her a message about “her concerns.” They probably only planned on beating and raping Shelley but Eric came home and he was killed in the process. The book T-Bird was reading from at Eric and Shelley's apartment is called Paradise Lost by John Milton. If you like reading, this will take your mind on a bit of a trip. Eric Draven came back to avenge his death and his fiance. The Crow is his afterlife guide to the steps he needs to take to make the wrong things right. The Crow was not an embodiment of Shelley but he was a spiritual guide for Eric. Sarah is friends with Eric and Shelley because her mother (Darla) at the time was a low life druggie and didn’t take very good care of her. Eric cured her of that. Eric retrieved the engagement ring he gave Shelley to highten his vengeance. The guy with the long hair and the Asian girlfiend is an underlord of the city (Top Dollar) and controls what goes on as well as the city’s politicians. Each one of Top Dollar’s henchmen (Tin-Tin, Funboy, Skank, & T-Bird) were taken out and then he was saved for last. The tall black henchman, Grange was played by Tony Todd, who is famous for the movie "Candyman" and he sadly left us in 2024. ------------------------------------ I saw this movie 15 times in the theater when it came out. I traveled to NC where it was filmed to see things up close. Found out it was all filmed in a closed studio and that church was only 4 feet tall! This movie was based on a graphic novel by James O’Barr. When someone decided to actually put into action a reboot of this original…there was a huge backlash. When I saw the trailer, it just ruined the original memory of a movie that was the last to be made by Brandon Lee who died in the middle of filming. The guy who shot the gun in the opening scene, Funboy, played by Michael Masse (who died in 2016), caused him to take a year-long sabbatical from acting, but he experience lasting nightmares from the incident. The girl who played Sarah (Rochelle Davis) was also traumitized. She didn't make another movie till 2009. Some say Brandon's death was a result of a Lee family curse. A similar thing happened on a recent movie called “Rust” that caused the death of a cinematographer and shot by Alec Baldwin. I am glad you guys enjoyed this movie. I am sure someone will ask you to react to the new one.***AT the end where it says "For Brandon and ELiza" it is a dedication for the two of them. Brandon and Eliza (Hutton) were to be married in real life the following month...until Brandon was killed. They were only able to finish the movie because all of the scenes where Brandon wore the face paint were filmed first. They used Brandons face in some of the scenes over the body of his stunt double. The gun had the casing of a blank in it that got stuck before it was shot again. There is a peice on the TV show, Unsolved Mysteries, that shows everything that happened to cause this tragedy. It was an unfortunate mistake.

Tami Ramos

Three of Brandon’s biggest movies were the following. Now that you’ve seent The ZCrow, you should watch the other two: **The Crow (1994) He starred in this one with Ernie Hudson, which I am sure you guys recognized. **Rapid Fire (1992) He stars in this movie with Powers Boothe who played the head honcho bad guy in Tombstone. **Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991) He stars in this one with Dolph Lundgren and a few others you might recognize. He shows off his own prowess with martial arts in the other movies as he followed in his father’s footsteps.

Mike Waugh

Y'all should watch, last house on the left. For a pure revenge/ karma movie.
