It's really good, but it's heartbreaking pretty much from start to finish. 💔😭

The whole time I’m thinking they’re running game on him. It was giving Rosemary’s Baby vibes. WOW. Very good movie.

Wow is exactly what I was thinking as this movie ended, and then I hear Asia say "Wow" Anthony Hopkins was incredible in this movie, as well as the woman who played Anne. I don't know how many times I thought it was me going crazy. It was a very good movie and very sad at the same time. Another fantastic movie and great reactions once again Asia & BJ. That was intense. Bravo 👏

My grandfather would ask me to buy him a watch, I'd buy it, he'd reject it, then like it, then reject it again, and protest for days until I got him another watch. Rinse repeat for almost 2 years as his dementia became worse. I couldn't fool him by giving him the same watch if I wanted to. Luckily, the watches he wanted weren't expensive but the repetition of going through him loudly cursing about the watches and other day to day things was difficult and sad for our family. I definitely can relate. He passed in 2025.

I saw this once when it came out. Amazing movie. Sir Anthony Hopkins is one of the GOATs. Instinct and Meet Joe Black are fantastic Hopkins movies.

Alzheimer's disease/dementia is prevalent in my family. Games that involve strategy work both sides of the brain; Doctors say it can reduce risk of it. Chess, sudoku and playing cards for me.

Vigorous Strongs

ASIA and BJ, Rufus Sewell who plays Paul in this movie also starred alongside with his co-star Jennifer Connelly in Dark City (1998). Dark City was supposed to be the first, true, and original Matrix movie before Matrix. We ALL should watch this movie. I strongly recommend it.

I think of Father of the Bride, too 1991 [Steve Martin]

Yes, Asia and BJ, you got it. The movie puts you in his place....his memories, his confusion, his distress, his losses, his paranoia and so much more. Dementia is indeed a quiet and cruel thief eroding a person’s sense of self often causing profound emotional distress, paranoia, and behavioral changes for both the person involved and their family. You can see why Anthony Hopkins won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in this movie. And at age 83, he became the oldest-ever winner of an acting Oscar. It was an historic win too because he broke the record previously held by Christopher Plummer, who was 82 when he won. This role was Hopkins second Oscar win after The Silence of the Lambs. Asia and BJ, I think you would enjoy another of his movies, "Meet Joe Black"-1998. Hopkins was awesome in that movie as well. Don't miss it!

Good lord, Hopkins is a master actor
