You might try this one though. I usually pass on animated movies but a friend of mine pushed me to watch a few that are really sort of made for adults as far as plot and themes. Kids like them too because they’re animated characters, but I was surprised how deep this one was.

Great reaction as always. My son who is 9 has been diagnosed with adhd. His medical team has always recommended this movie for him to help him understand some of what goes on in his brain. I can’t even imagine what kind of characters my son has at his wheel. 😂 But they said it helps since they can also see it in a visual sense as well. Definitely a solid movie. Makes you think. But my goofy emotions went off wondering what Asia’s fear emotion looks and sounds like during a horror movie!!! You know I love you girl. Thanks for a great pick me up for a Sunday night.

I agree with Thia. Most of the kids films are too absurd, but Inside Out is actually wiser and deeper than most films out there. It might have the best, healthiest, depiction of sadness I’ve ever seen in film.

This is such an amazing movie. The way it gets me to genuinely care about poor little Riley as if she's my family, while still having elements of adventure and slapstick. It's so clever, Pixar proved here that they make movies that transcend animation. Other Pixar classic's you can't go wrong with are Coco, Raratouille and Up. Be careful with the last one though, tugs at your heartstrings like a pro in the beginning (then ends a bit flat to be honest in the 2nd and 3rd act.

I get it, a movie like Mulan or Shrek is not very mature, but then again, Final Destination or Mad Max are not very mature either, there's nothing 'adult' about watching any of these if that's something you care so much about. Some animated movies are worthwhile because of memorable music, such as some disney classics that are basically animated Alan Menken musicals. But this movie, and this goes for more pixar classics, is a great movie even if compared to some of the more serious regular movies around, and it has something to offer to all ages. If you can't see that because it's animated, then this is very sad commentary about the state of the narrow mindedness of some commenters in this thread.

Have yall seen Soul? That is a good Pixar movie for an older audience. It quickly joined my top list with Incredibles (OG is GOATED), Toy Story (all of them), Ratatouille, and Finding Nemo.
