Demolition Man (1993)

Von

Please please please put the MCU on the next series poll. At least up to Wakanda Forever.

IRISH KEV

OMG that's what I'm talking about, great movie. Stallone, Snipes, Bullock and Leary. 90s classic action comedy. Can't wait to see you guys watch this 🙂👍

Annie Bonz

Love this movie!!!!! The Dennis Leary speech is the best lol

Lox

More comedy please. Got spoiled with The Office. On average your most viewed movies must be comedies? Just a guess but maybe Comedy Night one night a week or 2 weeks?? Poll with just Stiller/Sandler/Ferrell movies? Just love laughing along with you guys!! 😄

asiaandbj

What’s good Von? Thank you for suggesting more MCU. We got you!!

Beebel bob

Yes!! Finally, not an animated movie for children

Justin Dainoski

YES!!!!! I've been waiting for you to watch this movie. Can't wait to see your reactions.

PIG

Hellllllls yeah

Edgar Gonzalez

O hell yeah! Wesley Snipes, Sylvester Stallone, and Sandra Bullock... Man I love this movie, im checking g this one out after work fam! 💪 FINALLY HOME! Im gonna watch this now, but first.... A little corona. cheers everyone and happy ST. PATRICKS DAYY!

MarkC

What’s not fair is, since this film came out I still have days when the question “how do the 3 seashells work?” Pops in my head!

SoGutta31

I still want to know how to use the 3 seashells

Brian Dittman

Yeah, sadly they bring the most views. Gotta jump on the bandwagon sometimes.

Robin

I concur! I am missing the lightheartedness of the office. We definitely need more comedies!

Arjan Pelle

Is the guy who complained Asia and BJ were reacting to animated movies (a fantastic one like Inside Out nonetheless) and that it was immature, happy we are now looking at a very mature grown up movie with meaning and top acting like Demolition Man?

Caitlin O'Connell

Again, nobody likes every video a channel posts, but most of us just skip what’s not for us instead of insulting the people who do enjoy it. They’ve reacted to around 10 animated films out of like 700 over the years.

Kevin

Yes!

Beebel bob

It’s a sad commentary on American society indicative of the mass arrested development of American adults. Your teenage girl attempt at condescending is also very telling about your own mental state and abilities.

Beebel bob

It’s just such a sad commentary and indicative of the mass arrested development of American adults in society. They are the same group of people who take Disney vacations without children just for themselves.

Leslie Engel

Teenage girls are awesome! I do not like reading disses on ANY sector of humanity, especially not here in the beautiful community of Asia and BJ. 🥰

Caitlin O'Connell

You've dropped "arrested development" in multiple comments like it's some profound observation, but the real tell is that you took time out of your day to insult strangers for enjoying movies you don't like. That's not social commentary, that's just being rude. You're in a fan community actively making it less fun to be a fan. That's a weird hill to die on. Kindergarten rule #1: if you have nothing nice to say, scroll on.

Renee S

Notice he talks a lot about "arrested development" but ironically copies and pastes the same comment on every reply. He's got nothing to say. Someone taught him some "school words" and he's proud of himself for using them in what he considers adult conversations.

Beebel bob

And yet you keep rambling on incoherently with misspellings like a true Karen… oh bless your heart… I keep using the phrase “arrested development” because it’s an actual psychology term listed in the DSM literature which applies perfectly to the general impression I’m expressing in a form of constructive feedback. What a sad powerless life you must lead to be such a ln aggressive ball of hate to lash out the way you are, typical super Karen who cannot fathom the concept that not everyone has the same opinion as you and therefore they are a bad person. I’ve wasted enough of my precious time on an ignorant Karen such as yourself. Have a good evening Karen, wish you the best

Beebel bob

Incorrect. Bless your heart, I pity your small mind. God bless you. Hilarious how these hateful Karen’s are so easily enraged but simply pointing out that is creepy cat lady behavior to be such a fan of children’s cartoons as adults.

Caitlin O'Connell

It’s pretty ironic that your final point is “people have different opinions and you can’t handle that,” when you’ve spent multiple posts insulting anyone who enjoys animated films, and now you’re writing an entire essay just to insult me. That’s not someone who’s comfortable with different opinions, that’s someone who’s bothered by them. Also worth noting.. none of the gendered insults (Karen, Cat Lady, etc) you’ve thrown out at everyone have anything to do with the discussion itself. Resorting to stereotype based insults says more about you than it does about me. I could make A LOT of assumptions about you and throw insults back, but I don’t actually know you, and unlike you, I don’t think attacking strangers proves anything. If you truly understood that people have different tastes, you would’ve simply scrolled past posts about animated films! You have a swell night.

Nichole

I think they use it like a scraper lol

Nichole

Now this is my movie, thanks for the reaction

Brian Dittman

Funny enough in the Europe/International Release of Demolition Man, its Pizza Hut that survived the franchise wars, and not Taco Bell lol

Leslie Engel

Sending love to you, Caitlin and Renee. 💖🕊💖 And to everyone else who values kindness, tolerance, and looking at themselves in the mirror FIRST. Cheers for a lovely evening. ✨️🎉🌷

RollingAcres47

You have a superiority complex; you are the one with the mental issue Reed. The films that one likes holds no sway over their intelligence, mental state, or abilities...only their personality. A person can enjoy cartoons while also being a total genius. Conversely, a person can be very stupid while claiming to be a genius and wanting "smart adult" movies. I think you are the latter.

RollingAcres47

love this channel, not a complaint, but Billy Madison and Black Sheep needs to get done

Abel Salas Jr

Check out the Stallone/Schwarzenegger action team up in the movie Escape Plan

Kung-Fubar

Love this movie! It came out on VHS tape around the summer of 1994, back when I was an insufferable teenager. As opposed to the insufferable adult I am today. ;)

Kung-Fubar

Btw, Stallone was saying it's just one of those "cop hunches" not car puncher., but it's hard to hear because of the way he slurs his speech. And even though the movie came out 33 years ago, no one can agree on how you were supposed to use the seashells. Thanks for another great movie Asia and BJ!

Philip Davetas

One of my favorite flicks. Happy St Paddy's Day, ya sumbich.

Kevin

Please consider these movies: Kingpin I now pronounce you chick and Larry Sausage party Wreck it Ralph Gangs of New York American beauty Shutter island 12 years a slave Hall pass Crash Blades of glory Hot tub Time Machine The internship Saving Silverman Hitch The breakup Casino Grandmas boy Heavyweights Role models Knocked up Batman forever Sherlock Holmes Emperors new groove The town A million ways to die in the west Forgetting Sarah marshall Shallow Hal 7 pounds Blow Neighbors Bridesmaids Anchorman Clue Observe and report Gone girl Shooter Demolition man The game Bulletproof Roast of James Franco Zoolander Knives out (2019) Mean girls Catch me if you can Life (2017) Ladies man He got game All about the Benjamin’s

Stefan Williams

The UK is heading towards San Angeles's law system. ew

Arjan Pelle

The sad part is I think you're not even trolling. For all the flaws of western / American society the ability to value an animated movie at it's merits instead of your childish preconceptions is not one. Anyway, let's all wish Reed the best with his 'one new word a day' dictionary and agree he's here on to make himself feel better, not actually discuss anything. And let's contratulate him on having the opportunity to watch non-animated art movies such as Demolition Man for a change. Ahhhh, the culture.

Mister Lou

I synced up with the Pizza Hut version 😂 Wesley Snipes hair cut inspired Dennis Rodman's 😆

Poopy McDoodooface

Such a classic 90's movie. This was a great watch. I loved all of the 90's sayings that Sandra Bullock could never get quite right. Fantastic reactions once again Asia & BJ. From 3 and 2 and 1 and play to "They didn't even wait 5 minutes. I loved every bit of this reaction video. Thank you Asia & BJ. Now I have to submit my suggestions for the next Asia & BJ series reactions Silicon Valley, 2020, 6 seasons The Pacific 2010 10 part miniseries (about the war in the Pacific in WWII) (produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg who also produced Band of Brothers) The Offer 2022 10 part limited series (based on the crazy true story behind the making of The Godfather) It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia 2005 17 seasons Modern Family 2009 11 seasons Yellowstone 2018 5 seasons Boardwalk Empire 2010 5 season Seinfeld 1989 9 seasons

Neal Moody

She's still very pretty 😍

Neal Moody

Did you notice the warden from Shawshank Redemption? :)

Poopy McDoodooface

That's disgusting. 🤢 🤮 🫣 and now and image that I can't get out of my head 😕 😆

Abel Salas Jr

These are some good suggestions, however Casino, Blow, and Anchorman are all already here on the channel. And you list in your suggestions Demolition Man literally in the reaction to Demolition Man. ?

Byron Benally

Did you guys notice Jack Black? He had a tiny role in this film. He's one of Friendly's henchman. Btw Sandra Bullock's partner Benjamin Bratt also portrays Paco in "Blood In Blood Out" *wink

Matthew Stewart

Funny that Sandra Bullock mentioned watching Jackie Chan films. Stallone originally wanted Jackie Chan to play the villain but didn't want to play the villain so they got Wesley Snipes.

Kelly

Jesse "the body" Ventura - later went on to be Gov. of Minnesota

RollingAcres47

I live in Minnesota and Jess the Gov had one of the best ideas ever...give people tickets for driving slow in the left lane. Left lane is the "passing" lane. Pass and get back over to the right. Slow in the left lane is what causes traffic jams.

FLORIDABOYYY

just watched a movie called black and blue 2019. yall would like it 😬

Jason Cooper

1:11:55 BJ pretending to take his shirt off 😩😅😅😅😅😅😅

Dan Gershgol

Your mic level is very high in this one again and the movie volume is a little quiet. First time seeing this. I love Sandra Bullock. So beautiful.

Arjan Pelle

I second Modern Family, Sillicon Valley and Boardwalk Empire. I think some of the others are to quirky like Seinfeld or Always Sunny. Nevertheless great suggestions Metal Monkey

Arjan Pelle

Is this a generic comment you post on multiple reaction channel? Because many of them are already reacted to, including Demolition Man which is the current thread. Not cool man.

Brian Dittman

Modern Family would be a great new comedy sitcom, plus its very iconic

Kain D. Zero

Tucker & Dale VS Evil. :) You won't regret it!

Kain D. Zero

Art of War is a pretty decent action movie from Weslie Snipes. And if you want to see a good drama from Weslie Snipes please watch "Sugar Hill". It's a good movie.

Kain D. Zero

Tulsa King is a great series from Sylvester Stallone. I could argue it's Sylvester Stallone's best role. If it's not his best it's in top 3 along with Rambo & Rocky.

Kain D. Zero

I read that Wesley Snipes hated his hair color in this one

Kain D. Zero

You guys just gave a gret idea. I think Wesley Snipes could have been a good Joker.

Kain D. Zero

"We got another Walt Disney"

Kain D. Zero

I don't suppose anyone is released from Cryo early for good behaviour? :D

Kain D. Zero

Ooh, I remember Rat Burgers now. They looked good enough to eat when I saw them in this movie. :D

Kain D. Zero

With the way I curse I'd be in a huge debt in this reality. :D

Kain D. Zero

Samuel L. Jackson has a movie called 187. I really liked it.

Kain D. Zero

Damn. I never thought about it. There is a PS1 game called MDK. I don't know if MDK means the same in it.

Kain D. Zero

https://www.gog.com/en/game/mdk "The main objective of the game is to basically shoot everything that moves and everything means every alien you will come across. The one and only way to stop the alien invasion is to kill'em all by any means necessary, such as the smallest nuclear bomb, surfboard-like jet or bomber plane. Your goal is simple - repulse the alien invasion and save the Earth... almost single handedly. One of the greatest and most memorable action games of all time Fun and addictive gameplay, filled with humor - a trademark of games by Shiny Entertainment To this day no one really knows what “MDK” actually stands for..."

Kain D. Zero

"Posted on: March 22, 2011 Official MDK response Hi this is Nick Bruty, creator of the original MDK. Thanks for all the nice reviews. Can't believe its been so long since it was released. To answer a few questions. Yes the name did stand for Murder Death Kill. It was a temp name that stuck although I didn't like the actual meaning so we came up with a bunch of other names to cover it up. The game was shorter than I wanted it to be. I had 8 levels planned but because we were being so diverse in each level we just didn't have the time so cut it to 6. There was no work done on the missing 2 levels. I do wish we had released with a save game. I don't think the game is overly hard as much as abstract in places. If anyone has questions I'll be happy to answers them on my site. Nick Bruty Rogue Rocket Games"

Kain D. Zero

To this very day I don't think anyone knows how you use the 3 sea shells.

Kain D. Zero

If I had to listen to "Armor Hotdogs?" I'd kill myself.

Kain D. Zero

There is interesting trivia about Demolition Man. There are two versions of this movie. Other one has Taco Bell and other one has Pizza Hut. "International Variations: Due to low brand recognition outside the USA at the time, all Taco Bell references were dubbed and re-edited to Pizza Hut for international releases." "Real-Life Sponsorship: Taco Bell paid for product placement in the film as part of a significant marketing campaign, and in 2018, they hosted a "Taco Bell 2032" pop-up event." "The Concept: In the film's 2032, all restaurants are Taco Bell, offering a sophisticated, high-end dining experience." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkMark0Uztw

All Simon had to do was aim and shoot and he had gotten John in the underground. Then we wouldn't have the ending these movies always "need". I just hate seeing certain dumb moves from characters.

Kain D. Zero

Simon was like a cat playing with his mouse John for too long. :D

Kain D. Zero

I never want to see a flying car. EVER. The way some people drive I will never want to see those people in the air. :D We'd have people crashing through buildings all the time. Imagine being asleep and waking up to a flying car crashing through your bedroom window.

Kain D. Zero

This movie was good when it came out. After watching this again now I felt nostalgic but didn't like this movie as much anymore. I probably would have given this an 8 our of 10 back then. Now I can give this a 6 out of ten. Demolition Man is a fun movie still.

Kevin

This is a list that came up with for them that I just forgot to edit before posting no big deal

Kevin

Dan Gonya

BJ! They need to bring back the chili cheese burrito at Taco Bell! It's a travesty that they don't have it anymore! I remember in grade school we would have special lunch day and a lady would show up from Taco Bell with like a whole bag of them. It used to be called the chilito, and it was like 89 cents. Those were the days man.

Nichole

😂 it is disgusting sorry, you got that image.

Nichole

Murder at 1600 is a good Wesley Snipes movie to look at also

RollingAcres47

Chili Cheese Burrito is still here in Minnesota, I get them all the time with the Cheesy Gordita Crunches.

Daniel Moskowitz

I don't know. John Spartan is a little crazy IMO. When you get the chance to bang Sandra Bullock you take it. Psychokinetic sex helmet or not.

Saints_Madness

I've been waiting for this reaction and it was a good one. Always entertaining. As for Westley Snipes haircut? I think he's the only one who could rock such a style, I dig it still especially blade because he had tattooed tribal with his hair style in that one. As for the tech, I think it was good for its time. Those CRT tvs were finally being showcased in this movie. The one thing they got wrong were the tvs being vertical instead of horizontal like they are today. This is one of my favorite films from back in the day. Look forward to your next uploads and your next lottery drawing

Vigorous Strongs

Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that Demolition Man 2 is in active development with Warner Bros., describing the project as "looking fantastic".

Chloeteele Alton

I have eaten taco bell many times and it never made me ill LMAO

Aaron Barlow

So it's just a documentary about our society now?
