Commenting to make sure that I'm in "full compliance"

Grushdeva

There is also an extremely good TV series called Fargo that is related to this movie. It's about the KC mob and the surrounding areas. Each season covers a different era and a different story.

Mikey Sea

Oh, good deal. You betchya!!

Renee S

Ah, some of the locations are familiar to me. I live nearby the area of Mpls where this was filmed 😄

Jimmie V

I actually like the TV show WAY more than the film.... especially the first two seasons.

Robert

I've never seen this. First time watching

Pele'sFyre

Oh yeah! You're darn tootin!! Frances Mcdormand and William H Macy's performances are stellar! ✌️❤️

Mezz015

Don’t know if you guys take suggestions but a movie I recommend you guys watch is a movie that really doesn’t get talked about but Star Billy crystal bette miller and Marisa tomei and it’s called Parental guidance it’s a family movie but it’s a good one very underrated

Miss Melissa

Ahhhh great movie!! Frances McDormand - the pregnant officer won an Oscar for her performance. She’s also married to one of the writer/directors. The Coen brothers make such good movies. Their film Raising Arizona is another hilarious comedy - one of my favorites. And their movie No Country for Old Men won an Oscar for Best Picture in 2008. Its phenomenal. I also agree with the others who have said the tv show Fargo is great - well the first couple of seasons. It’s an anthology, so each season is completely different, but it’s cool because there are references to the film.

Lewsifer

Another Coen bros. Flim to check out is The Ladykillers staring Tom Hanks.

Potato Jones

I was having a poo day and this is what the doctor ordered!!!! Can't wait to watch with y'all.

David Cansler

Bring back the Luby's and Golden Corral's!!

Dustin

Awesome! More Coen Bros! My favorites! I really do enjoy watching movies with you guys, you crack me up!

Dustin

Oh, I've said before, watch RAISING ARIZONA and THE LADYKILLERS. You'll absolutely love both of them. And if you ever want another really good mafia/gangster movie recommendation, MILLERS CROSSING is another fantastic Coen Bros movie.

Dustin

I keep recommending this and Raising Arizona. Love Coen Bros!

Rose Dallman

Agree with all the comments about the Coen Brothers' films. In this movie, Fargo, it's taking place in Minnesota. Home of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe. You'll hear how they talk. Yadder hey.

Jesse

Wow. This is another awesome drop. I can’t keep up yo. Haha. Vince Gilligan was totally inspired by the Coen Brothers in his writing. You can even see the Fargo similarities in the character Price from Better Call Saul. Which is great we’re seeing it around the same time. His midwestern accent and persona are real similar to the nerdy, insecure character Jerry Lundegaard. You can really tell by the “TruCoat” scene in Fargo and a similar scene when price is talking about some kind of clearcoat for his SUV. I see it as a fun reference to look out for and not intended as a spoiler. You guys are awesome yo. Thanks for all the great movies and shows. You rock!!!! Yeah b#tch. ⬆️☮️💙

Miss Melissa

Also, it’s not really a true story. The Coen’s put that in that in there to give the film more weight. It was kind of inspired by a couple of things but mostly made up. ;)

Miss Melissa

That’s one thing I really love about Better Call Saul - all the movie references.

Ross Johnston

Yaaaa, A & B, just finished watching this with ya, yaaa! That was one good reaction, darn tootin’ and I’m glad ya liked it! Seriously, thank you so much!! 🤗 The Coen Bros have made some amazing movies, and I knew this one was intense, but I’m seriously glad y’all watched it! It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, so I was zeroed in on it right along with y’all. Sending love from H-Town!

RamRod13

You watched the movie, now you should check out the show.

JennaB

Absolutely agree with people saying to check out the show. I watched the first three seasons and they are very bingeable

BRENDA

Margie's Husband was the Barber in GranTorino!!

Sd D

As others have said, the Fargo TV show, certainly season one, is definitely worth investing in. Thank you for the time/sacrifices you spend on these videos, it doesn't go unappreciated.

Justtired

Always a lot of fun watching movies with you two. Oh yeah, you betcha

ChipmunkFF

If you have watched Fargo the movie and enjoyed it, then you need to watch Fargo the TV series.....hopefully you get to it at some point. Each season is an independent story. My personal favorite is the 2nd season but Season 1 is incredible as well.

Cynthia M Farrington

The wood chipper incident is based on a real event. A man killed his wife, froze her in a deep freeze, cut her up with a chain saw and fed her body parts into a wood chipper into a river in the early morning hours. He was seen there by a man who was clearing the roads with a snow plow who thought it was odd, but didn’t see the body. He was caught later because the house keeper saw blood on the carpet of the bedroom. Later, the carpet was gone. They searched the area of river and found a part of a piece of mail that the woman had in her pocket that had the name and address on it. They also found bone fragments and blood on the chainsaw. I don’t know if any of the other incidents were based on real events.

I laugh so much during this movie! Dark comedy fr! Any other writer and this would be a thriller. The Cohen bros best imo. The way the talk (yaahhh) how nice they all act, but the story line was crazy! Love that you took it so seriously 😆 it actually wasn't really a true story.

TJ Madden

React to LONE SURVIVOR. TRUE STORY THAT WILL OPEN THE EYES

MumofZack

This is literally my favourite movie! I really enjoy the dark humour. And Frances McDormand is an absolute treasure in this movie. ❤️ My dad and I quote this movie all of the time lol. #AwJeez

Isac (Welsh_ML)

Love this movie, but the fargo series perfected it

jlo

You guys should just react to season 1 of the fargo tv series, its such a good show and you only need to watch season 1 for the Fargo story line, a new story starts every season

Patty Estrada

Frances McDormand (who plays Marge) is one of my favorite actors. You should check out more of her stuff..."Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" 'Almost Famous" "Burn After Reading" "Mississippi Burning". You should also check out "No Country For Old Men' and "True Grit" also by The Coen Brothers, who wrote and directed this movie. "Bridge of Spies" although not directed by The Coens but instead written by them, is also a good movie (directed by Steven Spielberg). Also, if you decide to watch Shameless...the actor who plays Jerry (Williams H. Macy), plays the dad Frank in the show.

trumpetplayakid

BJ's shirt basically explains my current existence.

Em Gomez

Great pick and great cast as well. In a world of interns, Frances McDormand is a true boss of an actress! Good follow up to this would definitely be No Country For Old Men.

Robert

after watching this i am reminded of another quirky movie- similar with the same lady cop in it, its called Burn After Reading.

Dan Gershgol

The minnesota stereotypes is over the top in this movie but I love it anyways.

Karim

Very weird movie.

take it easy (tkitez)

The movie is not based on a true story/events, as you've probably figured out by now. It was just a stunt to get people more invested into the movie and not be taken out of it by some of the story.

precious926

So glad y'all watched this one!! Fargo is one of those films that you never forget once you've watched it. Crazy plot and wonderfully acted. This movie was my introduction to the fabulous Frances McDormand, and William Macy as well.

Jesse McAdams

William H Macy's best role is Frank in the show Shameless. One of the best characters on tv. I watch the series at least once a year. I highly recommend watching that series. Watch the US version not the UK version. One of my top 5 favorite tv shows. The bad guy who was arrested was also in The Big Lebowski. He was one of the guys who tried to rob them outside the bowling alley. That could be where you remembered him from.

Jesse

What if Breaking Bad took place in Fargo instead of Albuquerque. There would be a lot of ya instead of yo. “Ya Badger, I’m heading to the Doghouse to grab some food..” And “Ya , Mr. White.” And maybe even “This is my own private domicile ya, and I will not be harassed…. you betcha.”

mark barratt

Both the crooks were in the big lebowski

Tessie True

Classic! I met William H Macy a couple of years ago and he's so tiny and very sweet and friendly! Love him!!
