Watching Blizzard: A weekend? Where did that come from? (Patreon)

I don't know how it's the end of the day, much less the end of the week. But somehow it is, and so we're going to take a look at today's news as well as a look back on the week.

It's a tough grind to get 100 exalted reputations

• And the reward is a little disappointing.
• ...or, as Adam labeled it in the headline "worse than a participation award." I don't know if it's worse, but it's certainly not any better.
• ...and, yes, the off the wall headlines at the tail end of the week are all on Adam. There's a bit of behind the scenes for you.

I don't usually link the Queue here, but...

• After all, we do the Queue every day, and it's as much about the conversation in the comments as it is about the actual post. But Rossi's introduction about Paladins in today's Queue is really something special.

If you like magician Symmetra...

• ...then maybe you'll like other heroes in their own magician costumes.

This Sombra Nendoroid is the most adorable thing I've ever seen

• Seriously, I don't think I can cope with this cuteness.

All the galleries!

• Anne has been doing a series of Battle for Azeroth galleries for us, so if you aren't on the beta (or even if you are!) and want to tourist around, here are this week's galleries:
  • Unity Square in Boralus
  • Crosswind Commons and Mariner’s Row in Boralus
  • Stormsong Monastery in Boralus
  • Port of Zandalar and Grand Bazaar in Dazar'alor
  • Terrace of the Speakers in Dazar'alor

Highlights from the week

• Anduin’s trying to save the world in this Before the Storm preview. The novel's nearly here, so be sure to pre-order it!
• I'm not going to miss the frustration of the Mage Tower challenges, but I will miss the chance to get some of those awesome appearances. Ted took a look at why Blizzard is killing Mage Tower appearances.
• This Magni comic is so sad. So you may not want to read it. Or maybe you do.
• Threat is changing in Battle for Azeroth, and it could be ugly.
• Coming soon: Mythic+ is going to have its own seasonal play.

The weekend in esports

• Catch some Hearthstone action at Dreamhack this weekend. Even if you aren't a big Hearthstone player, these streams are kind of soothing to watch. It's like the golf of esports.
• I don't know much about StarCraft, but I do know that's happening at Dreamhack this weekend too.
• And, of course, Overwatch League wraps up week 3 tonight and tomorrow. There are just two more weeks of matches before playoff season, and at this point every match counts.

And that's all for today, people. Let's get into the weekend. This is Liz, signing out.
