Yeah, the drill sgt I think was a real drill sgt there too teach the actor how too do it, but he was so good they used him instead, theres a lil documentary on the guy who got replaced, he ended up playing the guy on the helicopter shooting saying "get some, get some" lol they kinda did him dirty though hah

I joined the United States Marine Corps in 2012, and I can say that physical contact was way down from what you see here. I can also say that even so it was pretty close to accurate. There was a lot more officers, but the attitude stayed the same. Looking back on it, all I can do is laugh. During, it was terrifying. They also like to surround you with three drill instructors at a time and make you feel alone against powerful people even if you have 100+ with you. It was surreal to experience, but helped me learn a lot.
