My Mum first showed me this movie. She relates to the Sarah storyline... "What have I got Harry, hm? Why should I even make the bed, or wash the dishes? I do them, but why should I? I'm alone. This is known by many as the most depressing film ever made but also has one of the best musical scores ever and imo a top 25 film of all time. Can’t wait to see your guys reaction!!!❤️also forgot to mention that Ellen burstyn gave the greatest female performance ever in this film.

Of all the movies I've seen in my life, I have never felt worse after a movie finished than I felt when I finished Requiem for a Dream. I was devastated. I'll be checking out the reaction, but it will be the edited version when that's ready.

They showed us a twenty minute cut of this movie in high school twenty years ago. It was effective. The surgical saw is a core memory, for all its moments of screen time. Once Hannah recovers, you guys should watch the upbeat Scottish (for her apparent heritage) film about Ewan McGregor and his happy go lucky train habit--I mean train hobby.

I know I said it already but after finishing your guy’s reaction, Ellen burstyn aka Sarah goldfarb “the old lady” gave arguably a top 5 performance in the history of cinema and lost the Oscar to Julia Roberts , at least most of us acknowledge that it’s one of the biggest robberies in Oscar history.
