Much has been said about the importance of establishing a routine for babies and kids. This was also highlighted in this book I’ve been reading “The Montessori Toddler” by Simone Davies where it was suggested that creating a checklist is one way of problem-solving when it comes to our strong-willed not-so-little-ones.

I made these drawings for Tala to help her visualize the things we expect her to do during the day and at bedtime. Oh the perks of having a tech-savvy husband—Jerome then digitalized them and had them laminated!

Tala has since been arranging them with us. I think it makes her feel “involved” in what will happen day by day. This has helped a lot in making her go to her potty, or wash her hands, or take her nap. When she resists, we just remind her by saying “Tala, look at your schedule. What does your schedule say?

It helped our dear Ate Rose too when we had to leave Tala with her during the time I was in the hospital for Kaya’s birth! Tala knew what to expect and there was hardly any fussing (daw). Oh, except when she would replace “nap time” with “play”. Haha.😊

If you want a copy of our drawings, you can download them for $1 through our Gumroad page. If you are a patron, send us a dm so we can give you a free download link.
