Hello! It's me, Colin, returning to host Constellation for the first time in... well... quite awhile. Dagan was actually supposed to helm this episode -- I was going to appear as the fourth, topic-less guest -- but he got pulled into a work meeting at the last minute leaving me in the lead chair, and today's show as a trio. As such, please welcome Punching Up co-host Gene Park and LSM legal analyst Rick Hoeg back to the program. We start with Gene this week, who wants to talk about the imminent ban of the TikTok app in the United States, which should have already gone into effect by the time our podcast publishes. Hoeg, on the other hand, wants to delve into arts and entertainment from a global perspective, inquiring on which countries, localities, and so on we find ourselves most attracted to when it comes to the media we consume and appreciate. Finally, I bring up the rear with a topic that's top of many of our minds: What in god's name is going on with PlayStation and its games-as-a-service initiative?

Great episode. I do think it’s unfair to say that “no one spoke up” at BluePoint. We really have no idea. Half the team could have been miserable at the thought of making a live service game. But Sony owns them so maybe they’re not in a place to reject their marching orders.

This episode is a great example of the strength of 3 people. Colin, Hoeg, and gene are all so great and love their chemistry. Some episodes feel like they need 4, some don't. Like Jaffe episodes are better for 3 people. Keep up the great work.

I’m trying to understand why Collin is so adamant in his stance that Russia (a major world power that is diametrically opposed to US and western interests and led by an autocrat) poses no threat to the US. It is a strange hill to die on, especially since he takes a pretty alarmist stance towards China, a country which Russia has recently taken steps towards aligning itself with. I only point this out because he went far out of his way to insist upon this all throughout the Tik Tok discussion.

They are good, but clearly below Santa Monica, naughty dog, Insomniac, Sucker punch (imo), and even Team ASOBI now too (quality wise at least).
