Lyrics That Define Us, Underwhelming Experiences, Calling Someone Out | Constellation, Episode 109

Welcome back to Constellation! Would you kindly feast your optic orbs on this group of podcasting superstars? And of course, Dagan. Kicking off Side A, Jaffe punches the boys right in the feels with his topic about song lyrics. The gang waxes poetic as they break down the words in the tracks that speak to them most. Next, Chris wants to commiserate about underwhelming experiences. After all the lofty expectations, which places, people and events just didn't live up to the hype? Finally, Dagan tries to entice his pals to talk some shit. Axes will be grinded, but will the dudes actually name names? As always, Colin just freeloads on everybody else's topic, because "he's the boss." Total bullshit. Jaffee... literally ANYONE even the most vile person on earth can be pleasant and kind, it doesnt mean she is right, or the way she goes about things is correct. Everything she stands for is utterly deplorable. I dont care how nice she was to you, OF COURSE SHE WAS, you share ideologies dude.....

On the topic of Sad music, I ran into an album called "Purple Mountains" by the band Purple Mountains. May be the saddest album ive heard, and ive heard some sad stuff.

Me: Surely there can't yet another legendary lineup on Stelly Them:

Matthew Foley

I love Jaffe he’s like in my top 10 favourite LSM hosts. More Jaffe please <3

Miky Sh

Time lyrics gave me goosebumps 😭

Issac Woosley

I started watching the Landman series and was surprised to see the oil drill crews stop at bikini coffee places every morning.

Caleb Shelton

Colin: Time by Pink Floyd hit me like an asteroid about 3 years ago. I’m 38 and I have been a lifelong Floyd fan, but just like you, the song never got to me until I was 35. I cried like a fucking baby. You should check out Scattered from David Gilmour’s new solo album. It has the same type of lyrical content.

Anyone know why the reddit thread got locked?

I’m only 51 minutes in but let me just say, THIS IS WHAT WE WANT! My GOD this is the 51 minutes I wanted before the topics actually start. After that intro, the topics are just a bonus. I know it isn’t always feasible to have this amount of pretext, but when it is, THIS is what we want.

Guybrush Threepwood

Love this lineup. Just googled Lloyd Bloom. Holy Sh jaffe was right haha.

Greg Horsman

Rarely do I comment but this episode deserved the praise. Great episode. Great lineup.

Colin, checkout “everything I own” by the band bread. Used it for my dogs memorial video when she passed away last spring. Song is perfect for making sense of all the sadness that will ensue when that inevitable day comes for all dog owners 😔
