---

The Habroxia Special Edition physical run has been in the works for about a year, now, and in reality, we planned on getting this out way, way sooner than we ultimately have. I'll spare you the boring details, other than to say we feel the final product has justified the long wait, and that this is a truly special offering that I think old-school gamers in particular are really going to love. (If you're unfamiliar with Habroxia, it's our second game at Lillymo, first launched on PS4 and Vita in 2019. It's an old-school arcade space shooter in the NES aesthetic.)

Habroxia's physical SE is targeted towards PlayStation 5 players, and unlike the Super Perils of Baking PS4 physical run from 2023, in which we published 1,000 copies, we opted to go with 2,000 copies this time around. We felt bad that Perils sold-out so quickly, and while we don't necessarily anticipate that we're going to burn through 2,000 copies of Habroxia, we wanted to make sure we satiated a greater level of demand. We'll see what happens; the results will help determine the scale and nature of our next physical run.

So, here's the rub: As with the Perils SE, the games themselves were published on our behalf by our friends at eastasiasoft. I've had an exceptionally long relationship with these guys, spanning all the way back to my ancient coverage of an RPG called Rainbow Moon they published on PS3 many years ago, and as always, they've done a great job for us. (If you're curious, all the discs were printed in Austria, and then shipped to Indiana for compiling and boxing, before everything was delivered to us in Virginia. So next time you hear a developer or publisher claiming their games have to be manufactured in China, just remember that's a choice, and we chose otherwise, as we have with each and every piece of merch we've ever sold. But I digress.)

So obviously, the centerpiece of every Habroxia SE is the boxed PS5 game itself, complete with very handsome artwork by the ever-talented Lachlan Pini:

But with this special edition, I had a vision. Habroxia would have been right at home on NES, and thus an image entered my head: What if we spoofed the classic NES launch-era motif? And so I called in the only man who I knew could handle the job appropriately, and that man is Dagan Moriarty.

For one, Dagan designed extraordinary box art that you might have seen sitting on the shelf of a Babbage's in, say, 1986. You'll note that the dimensions are slightly off comparable to a standard NES box from back-in-the-day, primarily because we have to accommodate the bulk of a Blu-ray case. But in spirit, this thing is pretty much perfect. I mean, see for yourself:

Yet somehow, that box was the least of Dagan's work. Because what he accomplished thereafter is somehow far more remarkable. In addition to the box, I approached him and asked him to channel the days of yore and create an instruction manual, also in the NES tradition. When I tell you that he knocked this assignment out of the park, I mean it. He crafted a 25 page NES instruction manual that is completely indistinguishable from the real thing. You can take it from me; few people love the NES more than the Brothers Moriarty. Just wait until you crack this thing open. I literally said "this is incredible" aloud when I first held it in person just a month or so ago, and it's chock-full of custom art, writing, and more:

Those items alone would justify a special edition, but I didn't want to stop there. So we've likewise included all of the items that we put into Super Perils back in the day, too. Like a couple of snazzy postcards, for instance:

And since we loved Dagan's rendition of Habroxia art so much, we had him make us some custom stickers (I'm especially fond of the alternate Lillymo logo), and he executed on a stylish numbered certificate as well, so you know which copy in the run you received:

All of that for one easy payment of $40 plus shipping? What a deal.

Okay, so that's that. 2,000 copies await your purchase. And I mean that quite literally. We aren't like some other companies that send you shit so late that you don't even remember buying it in the first place. These games are ready to send, and will begin shipping-out on Monday, June 16th. We're hoping to ship a couple hundred a week at minimum, and are aiming to have all games in all hands by the end of August. Your patience is appreciated, as Micah is basically manning this shipping op by herself.

Speaking of Micah, I want to thank her for her hard work helping to coordinate and wrangle all of the components of Habroxia's physical SE. While EAS published the discs, we literally did everything else. Dustin's wife Holly compiled all of the manuals and postcards into their little bundles and hand-wrote all 2,000 numbers on the certificates, while Dustin himself led the charge of getting everything crafted with high-quality manufacturers. And of course, we already gave Dagan his props. Hell, Micah constructed all of the NES-style boxes, and I even contracted my niece Ayla to put together 2,000 shipping boxes. It truly was a family affair. As for me (Colin)? Well, this was all my idea, and I funded it. So please clap.

As always, we appreciate your support of all things Last Stand Media and Lillymo, and can't wait for you to get this exceptional physical run in your hands.

Have a great weekend, and be well. -Colin

Xbox's Sloppy Seconds

hello Team - ordered a game and pulled the trigger for a tshirt, to my surprise I couldn't add stickers because they can't be shipped to Poland? Is there any workaround to allow few of those to be tossed to my delivery?

Born-Blind

I'm still not sure where to display these. I feel like a degenerate buying both special editions just to have them tucked away in a drawer somewhere. I'll clear a space before the new one arrives.

Jonathan Gould

I purchased mine, got the stealth shirt I was missing(waiting for more stealth). I am really tryin to get that copy Colin has been fucking with on shows since I don’t even have a disc drive in my pro. This is a shelf item.

Miguel Valoy

Got it! Super excited, I have 2 out of 3 special editions.

Alex Bolton

Gotta have this for the Dagan Moriarty art alone!

Big Devin Energy

Agghhhh why does the shipping to Canada have to be so expensive!

Big Devin Energy

Then I thought I would add a T Shirt to at least make the $27 shipping charge worth it… then it just automatically doubled my shipping fee to $54. This shipping is robbery there is no way it costs that much to ship to Canada using USPS.

Boots!

I placed my order, hopefully Micah puts some positive juju on my copy so I can find true love and die happily ever after

Mama Micah

I apologize that the international shipping rates are so expensive. The international prices are coming directly from USPS, we do not set them. We're not able to ship the shirt in the same box with the game, so we have to pay for two separate shipments which are calculated by weight and dimensions. -Micah

Big Devin Energy

Appreciate the explanation and response Micah! Still sucks but it is what it is.

Mama Micah

It's gotten ridiculous even for domestic shipping. I personally paid $20 to mail a package from Virginia to California. It was about as big as a shoebox, not some giant shipment either. So the international rates are unfortunately even worse. 😬 -Micah

Colin Kolhoven

Managed to grab a copy and been wanting to get the plat for the PS5 version so this is perfect! Very excited to check out the box and manual in person. Thanks for making it affordable!

Grosface

Just a huge cash grab, just being honest

Avatar Theory

Managed to grab my copy, and a shirt but sadly shipping doubled here to Norway 🥲 in general shipping to Norway is so dang expensive

Mark Findlay

after setting an alarm for the drop, I still forgot about it. luckily I was able to grab one just now.

Jamie

Might be worth using a freight forwarding company as they can combine or ship to a border state.

Antonio Rodriguez

My first order from the shop. Got a sticker also. Can't wait!

JT

Its 2000 copies at $40 a pop. After expenses if anything it’s a small cash grab…

Arran Barnes

Want to order one but about to buy a house and its £17 shipping to the uk 😭 maybe the next release!

Jose Horrach

I wish I didn't lose my job. I really wanted this.

Scott Adcock

I went for it despite the £17. Thought I'd make the most of the postage by adding a £19 t shirt. That made the postage £41 😂

LastStandMedia

I have a secret I want to tell you about commerce, but you have to promise to keep it to yourself. -Colin

Manor002

Just got mine, awesome looking package! Thank you guys.

Grosface

Yeah, creating “demand” with seemingly low supply right? What does that have to do with me pointing out to people who falsely perceive value that they are getting ripped off?

Samus1611

Got my order in. If you all don’t sell the whole stock and want to allow us to purchase more than one, I’m down. I’d buy another one

Samus1611

How on earth is it a cash grab? Like for real? 40 dollars for this special edition? Anywhere else would charge you a lot more. Plus, you do realize all business is about making money right? Even if they sold all copies at 40 dollars each, that’s 80k. I highly doubt that’s a massive amount of profit

Grosface

Yeah I do… But you clearly don’t realize when you’re being taken advantage of. No one is stopping you from being a sucker.

Alexandre Mercier

I just order the game. Thank Colin and your team for the game 👍. This will be fun

Kojima Made Me Gay

The workers at LSM and Lillymo are paid super well…some of them might even be happy with their creation….and you cry….cry more, consumer. Art is not a cash grab. Bitcoin and NFTs are cash grabs. Understand the difference 🤡

Mario Hernandez

I was able to grab this one! Thank you team. I even bought the poster of the houston live show I had tickets for, but wasn’t able to make it :/

Mama Micah

Thank you very much for supporting the game! We did discuss and we feel like people a fair chance to order over the the initial 3 day launch, so we have removed the item limit. :) -Micah

Daniel Margaca

Are we allowed to purchase more than one copy? I wanted to keep one sealed and open the other
